Exploring this region at any time of year is a rewarding experience, each season throwing a different light on the changing scene. Heritage attractions include Sudeley Castle, 7 miles. The Forest of Dean is 23 miles. Bath, Oxford and Stratford-upon-Avon are all within one hour by car. Within easy reach of the picturesque Wye Valley, including Tintern Abbey and Symonds Yat. Tetbury is just 3 miles away, a thriving market town with elegant buildings and 17th-century market hall. As well as offering a unique retail experience with many craft shops, it is also a major centre for antiques. Malmesbury, 8 miles, is the oldest borough in England with its Norman Abbey and the beautiful Abbey House Gardens. The Roman city of Cirencester is 12 miles away, and there are many Roman remains in the surrounding area, including several Roman villas near the villages of Chedworth and Withington. The famous Cheltenham racecourse is 20 miles away and the magnificent city of Bath, famous for its hot springs, is 26 miles.
