The barn is situated in the grounds of a small farm, and is an ideal holiday base close to the mountains of Snowdonia. Tan Rallt Barn has plenty of space for eight people and can accommodate climbing and walking groups coming into the Snowdonia National Park. It’s a great location for outdoor enthusiasts being close to the Ogwen Valley and Zip World - the longest zipwire in the northern hemisphere, and just a short drive from Llanberis and Snowdon, with its famous mountain railway. You’ll find Penrhyn Castle (NT) just down the road, whilst Caernarfon, with its impressive castle, the Isle of Anglesey with 125 miles of coastline, Capel Curig and Betws-y-Coed are all close by. The GreenWood Forest Park at Y Felinheli, Yr Hwylfan (The Fun Centre) at Caernarfon and Electric Mountain at Llanberis are all well worth a visit. Shop 0.5 miles, pub and restaurant 3 miles. Criccieth is home to a 13th-century castle, along with a fine selection of shops, pubs, cafés and restaurants. An array of outdoor activities and family attractions are available in the nearby Snowdonia National Park, and the rolling countryside of the Lleyn Peninsula. Just 4 miles away is the harbour town of Porthmadog, the departure point for wonderful steam train journeys on the famous Ffestiniog railway. The village of Portmeirion offers golf, fishing and riding, and is within a short distance of the property. Beach 200 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

Ty Ni is a large modern property with open airy rooms and a sophisticated style. There’s four bedrooms, three of which have en-suites, and a separate family bathroom. The living and dining area have been furnished to ensure your comfort, the ideal social space for everyone to relax in. There’s a large kitchen with double oven, you’ll certainly be fully equipped for cooking up a feast. Through the kitchen there is a utility room, a much needed space for cleaning up after a muddy walk or a day spent down the beach.
Talking of beaches, pack your bucket and spade! There’s miles of idyllic coastline to explore, with picture perfect beaches and dunes you’ll be spoilt for choice. Just down the road you’ll find Harlech home to the imposing UNESCO world heritage site Harlech Castle. Bustling Barmouth is also only a short distance, take a walk along the promenade and indulge in some fish and chips. An iconic feature of the town is Barmouth Bridge, over 150-year-old railway viaduct across the Mawddach Estuary. It is half a mile in length with a wooden promenade suitable for pedestrians or cyclists which now forms part of the Wales Coast Path and the Lon Las Cymru Cycle Network. Nantcol waterfalls are just 5 miles away and offer a great day out, a perfect place for a family picnic whilst playing in the stream. A spacious static caravan situated on a bustling, popular park with many eateries to choose from, so you’ll be spoilt for choice on where to eat each day. There’s plenty of on-site entertainment to enjoy, and various activities such as segways, bikes and pedalos hire. An indoor pool with lazy river and slides, this site is a wonderful place to make memories for all ages. There’s three bedrooms and two bathrooms with open plan lounge kitchen and breakfast area, and an area with outdoor seating perfect to catch a bit sunshine. You’ll be in an ideal location to explore the Llyn Peninsula and the nearby Snowdonia National Park. Nearby Pwllheli has plenty to offer with harbour, and golf course, along with plenty of shops to peruse, supermarkets and eateries and a large beach with miles of sweeping sands.
A short drive is Porthdinllaen beach home to a popular beach side inn, once voted in the top ten best beach bars in the world! You are also within easy reach of Porthmadog home to the Welsh Highland Railway, and Italianate village of Portmeirion, fashionable Abersoch is also nearby. Criccieth and Harlech, a short drive away where you’ll find the historic castles of the area. This area has miles of unspoilt coastal paths to explore, look out for the grey seal colonies that are established around the coastline, alongside a wealth of sea birds. No matter your interests from golfing, fishing and adventure sports to nature and history, the diverse Llyn Peninsula has everything to offer.
