Situated in the heart of the historic fisher town area of Nairn, it is just a few yards from the stunning sweeping sands and delightful Victorian sea front. The cottage is located in one of the tiny winding streets that fisher town is noted for, yet it has its own parking and even a little courtyard area at the side. The cottage provides the best of modern living whilst retaining its original charm and ambience, such as thick stone walls. The main living area is open plan, with a large living room, with feature electric fire and wall-mounted smart TV, this L-shaped room has a dining area in the corner. There is a separate kitchen, which is compact yet bright and modern, with built-in units and is very well equipped, and a split stable door gives access to the adjoining courtyard area. There is also a handy ground floor wet room. Winding cottage stairs lead up to the fisherman’s landing.     Sea Thistle Cottage is ideally located for enjoying all the facilities of Nairn, an award winning seaside town. It is also easily accessible by public transport, for those who may like to arrive by train or bus, or to forget the car whilst there and explore by local transport; a bus stop is just 50 yards from the cottage. Tucked away in a quiet and very quaint lane, it is within easy walking distance of restaurants, shops, bars, golf course and of course the renowned beaches that this seaside town is famous for. The pretty harbour area is well worth a visit, with numerous small craft using its facilities. A boat trip is likely to produce a close encounter with the famous resident bottle nosed dolphins that are frequently spotted close to shore. There are numerous places of interest in the area, including Cawdor Castle, Culloden battlefield and a large nature reserve that runs along this superb coastline. Dog walkers are particularly fond of this part of the Highland coastline, with sea and forest walks in abundance. Inverness, the capital city of the Highlands is just 20 minutes’ drive away. A little further you have the very popular Speyside, famous for the abundance of local distillery tours, including The Macallan Estate, whilst a little further you will also find Dufftown on the stunning Speyside Way, with seven distilleries including Glenfiddich and Balvenie.
    You’ll also find endless trails and walks along the roaring river, see where The Spey collides with the River Findhorn. High-rocky verges and swooping drops, these walks are hidden Local gems, and not to be missed!
    Walking and biking a little closer to base? The large Garden is a great space for relaxing or games, and at the bottom of the garden is The Dava Way. This is recognised as one of Scotland’s Great Trails and is unquestionably one of the country’s finest long-distance walking and off-road cycling routes. It follows the old Highland Railway line for 24 miles (38 km) between Forres and Grantown-on-Spey! We are situated next to old Dunphail train station the most point of this trail. And if you look across the road from the house you will see the old platform hiding, but nature has started to take back! Having lots of outdoor space, you don’t need to go far past the doorstep! Walking adventures! The neighbouring woods, and Moore land 2 minutes’ walk from the door. Needless to say, this is the ideal base for holidaymakers wanting to visit the local area and many attractions that this location has to offer.

    Drummond House is a beautiful property located off the A96 between Inverness and Nairn close to Loch Flemington. It sits in large enclosed grounds with trees, shrubs, fruit trees and lots of quiet seating areas to take in the scenery and the wildlife.
    Walking through the front door takes you into a large hall with storage for boots and jackets after a day exploring. The living space is open plan with the living area to the front of the property; it is large room with comfy sofas, a Smart TV and amazing views across the garden and the hills beyond. The dining room flows off the kitchen which has plenty of cupboard space and is equipped with everything you will require for your stay. Located at the rear of the property is the conservatory with views of the garden and provides an additional seating area. There is separate toilet on this floor.
    On the first floor are two bedrooms. The large bedroom has a kingsize bed and a single bed, and the second bedroom has two single beds and overlooks the garden.
    There is a beautiful garden surrounding the property, with lawns, trees, shrubs, many seating areas to enjoy the outdoors and the amazing surroundings. Due to the location, rabbits, foxes and the odd deer may join you as well.
    Just 100 metres from Loch Flemington, which has been designated as a Special Protection Area (SPA) and is an internationally important breeding site for Slavonian grebe and a range of other rare, indigenous plants and animals, including breeding swans. The beautiful loch is also said to have an island on it, upon which a castle once stood; in very dry summers its foundations can be seen. The loch was at one time considered one of the best places in Scotland to fish for trout.
    The property is located 15 minutes from Inverness Airport and 20 minutes from Inverness city centre, which offers a selection of restaurants, cafés, bars, cinema, theatre, golf courses and fishing on the River Ness.

On the ground floor there is a pretty open plan living/dining room with wood burner which is set into an original fireplace. The kitchen is small but well-equipped. There is a steep spiral staircase to first floor where you can access a further twin bedroom, this bedroom does have restricted headroom due to sloping ceilings.
