Situated in a Georgian Grade II listed building and within close proximity to all of Hastings’ major attractions. You enter the cottage into a small hallway with stairs leading up to the bedrooms and a door leading to the open plan living area. There is a fully fitted kitchen to the front of the property with everything you could possibly need during your stay including a Nespresso coffee machine. The dining area has table and chairs to comfortably seat four. The living area has a sofa and occasional chair with plenty of cushions and throws to make this a cosy spot to while away an evening. There is Sky TV, DVD player with a selection of DVDs and board games available for when you just want to kick back and relax. French doors lead to an enclosed terrace with table and chairs for al fresco dining or a morning brew, the perfect sun trap. The Salts is perfectly positioned for enjoying all that Rye and beyond has to offer you are only moments away from good pubs, restaurants and the towns medieval history. Always a good start to any visit to Rye is the town’s Heritage Centre. Here you can watch the Town Model Sound and Light show which goes into detail about the history and the colourful past of Rye and it’s inhabitants or wander upstairs and play the Old Penny Pier Machines and giggle at the Laughing Sailor. If antiques interest you then visit the Strand Quay where you can try your hand at bartering and grab yourself a bargain. Take a boat trip from Northiam and arrive at the fairytale Bodiam Castle, which is 4 miles away, or catch the Kent and East Sussex steam railway which travels to Tenterden, described by many as ’The Jewel of the Weald’. Hillcroft Farm itself is a working arable farm with over 1000 acres of different crops which can be seen for miles. Looking over the 1066 countryside Hillcroft Farm pods are located just off of a main footpath/bridleway leading down into Coombe Valley Nature Reserve perfect for ramblers or cyclists with its cycle path. Looking south of the pods you can see the large lake in the distance whilst watching the sun rise and listening to the local wildlife. Crowhurst boasts a mainline railway station leading straight into London along with a local pub within walking distance.
