Two miles from Llangrannog’s sandy beaches, on the cleanest coast in Britain, this comfortable traditionally furnished farmhouse is set in its own gardens surrounded by unspoilt pastureland. The market town of Cardigan has an indoor swimming pool, a sports centre, a skateboard park, art galleries and a theatre/cinema complex. There are two coastal golf courses nearby. Here visitors will find a weekly market and street auctions, pubs, a famous brewery with visitor tours, restaurants and shops. Award-winning sandy beaches, family entertainment and amusements can be found 5 miles away in Skegness, and Fantasy Island fun park is 8 miles. Gunby Hall is 7 miles and Tattersall Castle 15 miles, both National Trust. Horncastle, famous for antiques, is 15 miles and the medieval cathedral city of Lincoln is 40 miles. This lovely 1900s barn was formerly a cow shed and milking parlour, and has been converted to a high standard with luxury fixtures and fittings. It is situated on a working beef and sheep farm with a pedigree Hereford suckler herds, sheep and goats and lies adjacent to the owners’ home. This semi-detached property is all one level and has a family bathroom, a double bedroom with en-suite facilities and a twin bedroom. The corridor leads to an open plan living space and the fabulous fitted kitchen has all the necessary appliances you could need. There is also a lovely breakfast bar for you to enjoy your meals whilst looking at the open countryside through the patio doors. The living area has a wood burner, ideal for keeping you cosy on those colder evenings, and patio doors lead out to a patio area and the garden, great for exercising the dogs, and children. After a long walk, imagine relaxing in the private hot tub just looking out onto the rolling green hills – perfect!
Ammanford itself has a coffee roastery serving fantastic coffee as well as breakfasts. There is also a large selection of shops, supermarkets and local pubs, some serving good food and with panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and castles. Pantyffynnon station is within walking distance of the property on Heart of Wales line to Shrewsbury or Cardiff in the other
direction.
There is also plenty to do in the area, with the beaches of Gower approximately 18 miles. The lovely old market town of Llandeilo, situated on the River Towy, is just 6 miles away with boutiques and galleries, and hosts various festivals throughout the year, including the Jazz Festival and the Gin Festival. For those wanting to explore the local countryside, there are plenty of walks from the property and some great biking trails. Beach 12¾ miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.

As you sweep down through the idyllic hamlet of Llanmill, through a beautiful wooded valley and over the babbling stream, the imposing, period Tan Y Castell can be discovered, perched on the edge of the valley and overlooking the lake with its resident swans. A footpath runs next to the house, giving access to the surrounding countryside. The origin of the gorgeous Tan Y Castell Welsh cakes is to be found right in the kitchen of this house itself. Tan Y Castell has been delightfully restored to its former glory and has been thoughtfully furnished to a high standard. Formal dining can be enjoyed in the spacious dining room, complete with an ornamental fireplace. Cosy nights can be whiled away in front of the open fire or in the private hot tub, or enjoy a glass of wine on the decked terrace overlooking the rolling fields and woodland. Accessed by a rough track, and with the owner living adjacent, detached Tan Y Castell is a 5-minute drive from the boutique market town of Narberth which is aptly twinned with Ludlow. Several art galleries and antique shops can be found here, as well as the former town hall that still houses the cell where the leaders of the Rebecca Riots were imprisoned; superb dining using fresh local produce can also be enjoyed here. Further south is Folly Farm, voted one of Wales’ top attractions, along with the Blue Lagoon Water Park and Oakwood Theme Park, all within 10 minutes’ drive. From this charming property located in the heart of Pembrokeshire, it is easy to discover the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park coastline and the glorious coves and beaches that west Wales has to offer, along with the famous walled town of Tenby and its sandy beach not to be missed.

As for things to do in the area, Pendeen and its surroundings offer a wealth of activities and attractions. The historic Pendeen lighthouse, perched on the cliffs, will give you an insight into its maritime history. The area is surrounded by mining heritage, and you can visit Geevor Tin Mine or Botallack mines featured in Poldark. Portheras Cove is ½ mile away, and Portherras Beach (a secluded and dog-friendly cove perfect for picnics and paddling) is one of the many beaches in the area. If you travel further you will come to Porthcurno beach, a stunning secluded beach and how to the famous outdoor Minack theatre, carved into the cliffs. The nearest town is St Just full of artisan shops, galleries restaurants, pubs, and cafes, for a full day out head to Lands’ End just over 10 miles away.
Two dogs are welcome (but please keep off the furniture!) and there is a designated doggy shower outside as well as dog hairdryer.

The Cider Barn is decorated and furnished to a very high standard by the owners who have years of experience in the hospitality industry, and the attention to detail is evident in every room.
Downstairs is a fabulous open plan living space, with wonderful Bi-folding doors that open to allow the outside in and giving you great views over the Blackdown hills. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need and the island unit opens it up to the rest of the room, so you can socialise while creating your next culinary masterpiece! The large Master bedroom on the ground floor has a stunning four-poster bed and en-suite bathroom with roll-top bath and separate shower, while upstairs the second large bedroom features a wonderful kingsize bespoke bed, beautiful beamed vaulted ceiling and statement lighting. There is also a shower room upstairs with walk-in shower.
Outside you will find a Mediterranean style covered seating area complete with its own chandelier, barbecue area and private hot tub, all soaking up the wonderful views!
Set in the lovely village of Bishopswood, with the Somerset Wildlife Trust running adjacent to the property, you are only 5-minutes’ walk from the local pub and surrounded by miles of beautiful walks. The market town of Honiton is just 10 miles away and the beach at Lyme Regis can be reached within a 30-minute drive. Heading north, you will find the county town of Taunton with lots of restaurants, cinema, bowling and shopping, and within an hour’s drive you will find Glastonbury, Street, Minehead and the moors of Exmoor! The picturesque fishing town of Aberaeron is only six miles away with its large harbour encased by pastel-shaded Georgian houses. A short drive inland leads to the rural and traditional towns of Lampeter and Tregaron, where the Welsh language is mostly used by the locals. Tregaron feels almost untouched by the 21st century and is a bastion of the Welsh language and culture. The river running through the town centre leads to Cors Caron, a national nature reserve of peat bog which is one of the most impressive wildlife areas in Wales; home to rare marsh grasses, black adders, buzzards and even the occasional red kite. Only 2-minutes drive from the beach, it is beautifully appointed and tastefully decorated offering the perfect retreat for couples looking to explore this beautiful part of North Wales. Relax on the sumptuous L-shaped leather sofa facing onto a Freeview TV with windows facing out towards the flowerbeds and the fields beyond. The kitchen is compact but well-equipped including a modern oven and hob as well as integral fridge and plenty of storage space. An attractive wooden breakfast bar separates the two areas. Upstairs, the sense of style and elegance continues with a large super kingsize bed, and the en-suite includes a large spacious and powerful shower. Outside there’s a small patio area where you can relax with a glass of wine. There are walks from the door and the amazing sandy beach at Morfa Dyffryn offers lovely coastal walks. You can visit Harlech with its impressive landmark Edward I castle (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) which towers over the town, or explore the seaside town of Barmouth – and why not hire a bike to explore the Mawddach Trail which runs over Barmouth Bridge and along the route of the old railway line along the estuary to Dolgellau?
