Bassenthwaite, EnglandRefurbished June 2021, this beautifully presented 17th-century cottage has been thoughtfully decorated to show off some of the original features, including a stunning oak beamed ceiling. The heart of the house is downstairs and features an open plan living room, kitchen and dining space, offering an open fire for those cosy nights in. Upstairs has a modern bathroom, and there are two very comfortable, good-sized bedrooms comprising a double, with lovely views and plenty of storage, and a full-size bunk bedroom. There are open views from the upstairs windows as far as the eye can see and the changing colours of the seasons are a sight to behold when you wake in the morning. It really makes this cottage one to remember.
Osprey Cottage is an ideal escape from the hustle and bustle of 21st century life, whether you are in the lakes for relaxation, culture, sightseeing or adventure, you are in a prime location within a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Lake District National Park. Keswick is on the shores of Derwent Water, which offers an abundance of shopping and dining experiences, as well as a variety of cultural hotspots and tourist attractions including the Pencil Museum, the Theatre on the Lake, Keswick Convention Centre and Keswick Museum and Art Gallery. Cockermouth is a quieter 800 year old market town, again with lots of shops and places to eat. Cockermouth sits on the junction of two major rivers Derwent and Cocker and is the home to Jennings Brewery.
