The popular cities of Liverpool, Manchester, and Lancaster are all within a 45-minute drive, and just over an hour away is Cumbria’s stunning Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Park. Within a short drive, you can also find Lancashire’s beautiful Ribble Valley, with its quaint villages, excellent walks, and welcoming country pubs, as well as the Forest of Bowland (Area of Outstanding National Beauty).
There are plenty of walks and cycling opportunities around the area, and there is storage on site for bicycles. Other activities available locally include; golf and fishing. Families will enjoy Martin Mere Wetland Centre and Haigh Hall Country Park, which offers; 350 acres of wood and parkland with an adventure playground, miniature railway, mini golf, craft gallery, gift shop, and café.
