Glenlivet View is a well-appointed, comfortable, detached lodge, situated in the heart of magnificent Speyside, home to over half of Scotland’s whisky distilleries and the world’s only Malt Whisky Trail. With panoramic views over the Glenlivet Estate and Cairngorms National Park, this is a stylish and cosy home perfect to either relax or explore this wonderful part of the Scottish Highlands. Inside, the open plan living space makes the most of the fine views from the patio doors overlooking the Cromdale Hills. Situated approximately halfway between Aberdeen and Inverness, just a short drive from Dufftown, there are many distilleries open to the public including the famous Glenlivet, Macallan and Glenfiddich to name but a few. Cullen is a wonderful little village, a real treasure trove of cute shops and cafés, and a perfect place to spend some time. Don’t forget to try the local speciality, Cullen skink. The neighbouring villages are well worth a visit and golf can be found nearby also. Further afield, Elgin and Inverness can be reached easily for a day out. Beach ¼ mile. Travel north to the highest village in the Scottish Highlands, Tomintoul, where a warm welcome awaits. This detached holiday home is set on the outskirts of this quaint village and backs onto fields with the Avonside Hills as a panoramic backdrop. Furnished with style and comfort in mind, it is an ideal base to explore this magical region. Whisky lovers will enjoy the delights of the Whisky Trail, of which the famous Glenlivet is only a short drive away. Plenty of outdoor adventures can be had, horse riding from the village, skiing at nearby Lecht and the Cairngorms where fabulous hillwalking and mountain climbing can be enjoyed. Cyclists will love the Glenlivet Mountain Bike centre too. In addition, Landrover safaris or gorge walking at nearby Bridge of Brown will surely get the adrenalin going. Alternatively, bird watching or deer spotting will suit the less adventurous and for interesting shops and eateries, Tomintoul, Ballater, Grantown-on-Spey and Aviemore are all within easy reach. By total contrast, the beautiful Moray coastline is within an hour’s drive.

Spacious, with an airy feel, this house has a secluded sitting-out area with hot tub for guests’ use. It makes a wonderful place to relax in after a day out exploring the area or taking in the sea air along the gorgeous coastline. The owner also provides guests with towels. The property has ten bedrooms, three en-suite, sleeping up to 18 guests, along with another four shower rooms. To the rear of the property lies a quaint, gravelled garden that is not only home to handy storage for your beach gear, but to a bubbling hot tub; perfect for those days where you need to relax your muscles after ample walking or cycling along the coast!
The clear waters here are the base for a resident colony of bottlenose dolphins, and there are several companies in the vicinity running wildlife cruises, when you may also spot seals, many seabirds and even whales. Golf enthusiasts have a lovely links course practically on the doorstep, which has stunning views over the bay. Local dishes include Cullen skink, a hearty chowder-like fish soup; the nearby Cullen Bay Hotel holds the title of World Champion for this tasty dish! Moray is also known for its whisky, and there are many famous distilleries within an hour’s drive of the village. Cullen has a great variety of local amenities, good pubs and cafés, as well as a fabulous ice cream shop opposite the property. There is plenty to do here for all ages and abilities.
