New in 2019. Roseberry View Lodge Retreat is set in landscaped grounds around a private lake with views across the Cleveland Hills to local beauty spots, Roseberry Topping and Captain Cooks Monument. Guests have shared use of a clear fronted sauna which also looks on to Roseberry Topping.

The Cleveland Hills sit between the North York Moors National Park to the south and Middlesbrough to the north. A public footpath runs approximately 1 mile through fields to the village of Great Ayton with it’s range of local shops, pubs and locally renowned ice cream shop and pie shop. Or if all of that sounds just too strenuous, take the easy route and just relax in your hot tub and watch the sun glistening on the lake before heading indoors for a cosy night warmed by the wood burner.

The kitchen is open plan with the dining area, where you can create all of your favourite meals. Stepping outside you have a small, enclosed patio area with a separate large lawned garden with views over the rolling countryside with the sea on the horizon. It also has a boot room/bike store perfect for storing your outdoor attire after a long day exploring.
Upstairs there are two bedrooms the master king bedroom as well as a twin, that can be made into one king size bed upon request to accommodate two couples. Starting with Skinningrove with a peaceful beautiful beach, which is great for fossil hunting; further along the coast is gorgeous Runswick Bay, picturesque Staithes, the surfers’ paradise of Saltburn and the historic seafaring town of Whitby with its long golden beach stretching to Sandsend. For walkers there are walking trails across the national park, including the Cleveland Way along the cliff tops, or Roseberry Topping which offers stunning panoramic views. If you are fascinated by history visit Guisborough Priory and Whitby Abbey, as well as museums including Staithes Heritage Museum, Whitby’s Captain Cook Museum and Hutton le Holes Folk Museum. On the moors there are many pretty rural villages to visit, or why not enjoy a trip on the steam train from Whitby to take in the scenery. For the adventurous there are water sports including white water rafting, sailing and paddle boarding at Tees Barrage and Scaling Dam, as well as surf schools in Saltburn, Sandsend and Whitby.
