Swn Y Nant is a stunning lodge in the heart of the Brecon Beacons. This eco-friendly property is perfect for those wanting to explore the area or to simply have a romantic break away from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
Nestled next to a stream and with a ramp to the entrance, this fabulous lodge comprises a ground floor bedroom with a super kingsize zip and link bed and a ground floor bathroom with a walk-in shower, a double-ended two-person bath and a heated towel rail. The open plan living, dining and kitchen space has floor-to-ceiling windows making it light and airy and has a Smart TV, super fast Wi-Fi up 150 mbps download and patio doors leading to the decked area with a private hot tub. There is also a small utility area. To the first floor is a kingsize bedroom with Smart TV. There is underfloor heating throughout the property with zoned thermostatic controls.
Outside, you will find hot and cold taps, perfect for washing your four-legged friends off after a walk in the hills. This eco-friendly lodge has eco cleaning products which are supplied along with a welcome basket of local produce, as well as a welcome basket for your dog containing treats and eco waste bags, also supplied is a bed, a blanket and a towel for your four-legged friend. A medium sized dog cage is available upon request.
There are plenty of walks to be had from the property; it is 6 miles to the historic town of Brecon with its array of coffee shops, small local independent shops, and art galleries. There is something here for everyone, and for those looking for more adventures then why not climb the high peaks of Pen Y Fan and take in the breathtaking views of the rolling countryside?

Abundance of walks and cycle rides to explore or simply a wonderful place to relax and read. If you would like to try something new, then there is horse riding available close by. Nearby Presteigne, nestled at the heart of the Marches, is a quaint market town with its friendly pubs, cafes and award winning Judges Lodging.
Nearby Leominster, Ludlow and Hereford are easily accessible by car, all of which host a wide variety of attractions, and a large range of independent bars, shops, and restaurants for guests to enjoy. There are many other attractions such as the Chase distillery, Monkland Cheese, cider makers, museums, farm shops and markets, all within the locality.

This detached, single-storey cottage, next to the owner’s home, is set on a working small holding. It has stunning views over open countryside towards the Welsh border and enjoys a wonderful location for walkers, with Offa’s Dyke long distance footpath nearby. After a long day enjoying all the area has to offer, there is a wonderful patio space on which to relax overlooking the neighbouring farmland, where guests can enjoy watching the free range hens around the property. The historic city of Chester and the market town of Shrewsbury are both under an hour’s drive, and offer a wide selection of bars, shops and restaurants. There is plenty to do and see from both properties; for those adrenaline junkies looking for some excitement, Bike Park Wales is approximately a 40-minute drive from the property, and Afan Forest Mountain Bike Trails are a 25-minute drive, with masses of trails for mountain bike enthusiasts.
If you tire of the mountains, you are never far from the sea either with Aberavon Beach 9 miles away, and the famous Gower Peninsula only 20 miles away. The National Show Caves for Wales are a short drive from the property and make a fantastic day out with three of the largest caves to experience. Almost directly across the road you will find Craig Y Nos Castle and the attached country park which was formally owned by opera singer Adelina Patti. If you are looking for some retail therapy the property is perfectly located only 3 miles from the historic market town of Neath and 9 miles from Swansea, both of which have traditional indoor markets. Swansea has a lovely marina and a very large beach which continues on to Mumbles where you will find an array of bistros, shops and ice cream parlous where you can try the famous Joes Ice cream. Cardiff is also easily reachable within an hour’s drive, or by train from Neath station. These properties can be booked together to accommodate up to 8 guests.
