This semi-detached holiday cottage, attached to the owners home, is located in a peaceful, rural setting along a quiet lane, and is surrounded by beautiful countryside. The historic market town of Romsey, 3 miles, is often referred to as ’the jewel in the crown of Hampshire’, with Romsey Abbey, King John’s House and a variety of independent shops, cafés and restaurants making it a popular place to visit. The cities of Winchester and Salisbury both have magnificent cathedrals, historic buildings and excellent shopping and leisure facilities. Stockbridge and Southampton are also a short drive away. Broadlands and Hilliers Gardens are nearby, the New Forest and the coast are within easy reach. The National Trust owned Mottisfont Abbey is just up the road, and the River Test is on the doorstep for fishing. Paultons Park, the home of Peppa Pig World makes a fantastic day out for families. Offering far-reaching views over fields and surrounding countryside, this compact, detached, single-storey holiday property offers superb walks from the door across miles of countryside. Standing next to the owners’ home on an unadopted lane on the edge of the charming village of Niton, a 10-minute walk, with a church, local shops, post office, library, chemist, hardware/gift/pet supplies shop, a GP centre and a pub serving food. The island is renowned for ramblers and has a 500-mile network of footpaths, including a 68-mile coastal walk with spectacular views. The nearest beach is a 10-minute drive, an observatory and St. Catherine’s Lighthouse are also nearby. Water sports, cycling, riding, sailing, fishing and golf can be found on the island. Blackgang Chine Theme Park is ¾ mile. Shop, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.

The Admiral’s House - five well-furnished and equipped apartments (three of which are featured here) - is stunningly located on the edge of Ilfracombe’s Heritage harbour with great harbour and beach views from all living rooms and bedrooms .The Admiral’s House is centrally located for Ilfracombe’s main attractions. There are friendly pubs and restaurants, including Damien Hirst’s The Quay (opposite side of harbour), and shops and cafes within a few minutes’ stroll. There are local boats for trips and fishing. For special experiences, the summer Lundy Island ferry runs from the harbour. Sometimes the famous Waverly Paddle Steamer offers coastal cruises. The Admiral’s House is a 5-minute walk to the Landmark Theatre. The path at the front of the house is the start of the coastal path leading to Hillsborough Nature Reserve and the coves of Reparee and Larksdown. Hele beach is a short walk, or there is paddling on the sandy beach just below the window. A great base for touring, surfing at Croyd and Woolacombe, cream teas at many gardens, National Trust properties, unspoilt Exmoor, the Victorian cliff railway at Lynton and Lynmouth and many mini theme parks within a short drive. Returning to the harbourside holiday apartment, fishing boats can be seen landing their catch, and crab and lobster can be bought for supper! Shops 100 yards.
