Situated in the popular Victorian tourist town of Crieff, Rubys Cottage is a detached holiday home at the entrance to the farm and just 5 minutes’ walk to the centre of the town. Situated on a quiet lane the bright accommodation is beautifully presented throughout and provides an ideal base for couples and families. The spacious open plan living area is the hub of the cottage where everyone can gather together, it has comfortable seating and a wood burner to gather around, the contemporary well-equipped kitchen is where you can prepare a family meal and then sit round the dining table and plan the next day’s activities. A handy utility room, perfect for storing outdoor clothing leads to the cloak room, a master bedroom with kingsize bed and en-suite shower room. There are two further well-presented bedrooms with kingsize beds and a family bathroom on the first floor. Stepping out into the garden from the patio door in the living area you have an enclosed garden with garden furniture, an ideal spot for al-fresco dining or relaxing with a glass of wine.
If you are planning to eat out on your holiday Crieff has a varied selection of places to eat, an excellent deli and café selling local produce if you are planning to cook, craft shops, galleries and supermarkets. The town hosts regular events throughout the year including The Crieff Highland Games and the autumn Drovers Walking Festival and farmers market. Perthshire is well known for outdoor activities for all ages. More strenuous activities in the mountains such as Ben Vorlich, Ben Chonzie and Ben Lawers provide challenging walks. Nearby Loch Earn has water sports as well as mountain biking at nearby Comrie Croft. There are gentle strolls by the riverside along the banks of the River Earn and Turret from the front door and the local park has a children’s play area. Discover the history of Crieff with tales of the outlaws and the Jacobite rebellion, visit historic castles and monuments and if you have been following the TV series ’Outlander’, Drummond Castle gardens are within 5 miles, as are plenty of the locations used in the series, including Doune Castle and Hopetoun House all within driving distance. For a family day out Auchingarrich Wildlife Centre is a short drive with a children’s play area.

Located in the picturesque conservation village of Comrie, on the River Earn and in the heart of rural Perthshire, Arden House is perfect for couples and families as holiday base. Dating back to the 1820s, this semi-detached property was home to the Co-operative manager during the 1900s. It was then purchased by the current owners in the 1970s, and recently refurbished in 2021. The house maintains many of the original features and character and is a comfortable and welcoming holiday home at any time of the year. The ground floor is taken up with a spacious living room, the real hub of the house, which has cosy seating. A dining room leads off there, and there is also a modern fitted kitchen. The back door leads to a small courtyard with seating and a barbeque for al fresco eating. The first floor has three well-presented, spacious bedrooms: one kingsize, one double and one twin. The family shower room offers a large walk-in shower.
Step outside and the local pub, cafés and restaurants are a few minutes’ walk away. If you’re planning to cook, the village is known for its quality local butcher, greengrocer, baker and deli, and there is also a small supermarket. The whole area is perfect for the outdoor enthusiast and boasts many walks right from the front door, as well as cycle routes on quiet track to explore. Nearby Lochearn offers water sports. If you like a round of golf on holiday there is a local 9-hole course and many others in the area, including the championship courses at Gleneagles.
A little further afield Auchingarrich Wildlife Centre appeals to all ages, and is home to great fly-fishing ponds. The tourist town of Crieff is only a 7-mile drive, with a famous whisky distillery, visitor’s centre and historic buildings. Drummond Castle makes for a superb day out, dating back to the 17th century and sitting amidst stunning gardens which were used in the filming of the epic TV series ‘Outlander’. Stirling and Perth are only 25 miles away. A quiet reading room is ideal for meditation or finishing your holiday novel. There is an attractively presented kingsize bedroom with an en-suite shower room along with a bathroom.
From your doorstep there are miles of quiet footpaths and cycle tracks to explore, and there are opportunities for many other outdoor activities including climbing, hill walking, fishing and water sports on Loch Earn. For nature-lovers, the estate and area are a haven for wildlife. Look out for otters, pine martens and stoats; deer can be seen in the wood and field, and wild birds include, siskins, nuthatches, house martins, woodpeckers, buzzards and red kites. The cottage retains much of its original character and has a wonderfully secluded feel, set on high ground and surrounded by nature and an abundance of birds, red squirrel, pheasants, deer and wildlife. Outside there’s a woodland and spacious garden, although you may find it hard to tear your eyes from the stunning views! The outdoor firepit is memorising on a clear night with the twinkly stars. Ardross welcomes well behaved dogs!

Riversdale Cottage is an attractive detached cottage with a lovely garden for sitting out on sunny days. Just a few minutes walk to the conservation village of St Fillans on the shores of Loch Earn with a shop, coffee shop and two hotels serving quality food, wine, ales and whisky. Situated within Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, you are surrounded by spectacular
scenery of mountains and lochs and there is so much to do to suit all tastes. From the cottage you can walk into the countryside, cycle along the loch side or on the official cycle path towards Comrie.

The local golf club, Sandy Lyle’s favourite small Scottish golf course, is adjacent and features a
challenging 9-hole course - one of the many courses in the area. Loch Earn offers water sports, fishing and small lochside beaches for paddling and picnics. For days out, visit the roaring Falls of Dochart at Killin, or Auchingarrich Wildlife Centre near Comrie. The pretty tourist town of Callander is well worth a visit with an abundance of eclectic shops, tea shops, restaurants and pubs. For guests interested in history and culture, there are ancient monuments and castles to visit, whisky distilleries and tales of folklore and clans in the area.

You may prefer to just relax on your holiday and Riversdale is cosy and welcoming. All on the ground floor, the kitchen is well equipped with contemporary appliances, a cosy living room with dining table is perfect for relaxing with a book on a lazy afternoon. The family shower room has a large walk in shower cubicle and there are two attractively furnished bedrooms, one with a kingsize bed and the other with twin beds. There is ample outside space including a seating area providing the perfect spot for afternoon tea where you can listen to the river flow by and look out for wild birds, red squirrels and sometimes a visiting deer. Escape to the tranquil village of Strathtay with this attractive three bedroom cottage. It is 5 minutes’ walk to the local post office and general store, riverside pub, restaurants and an award-winning chocolatier with coffee shop and gifts. Close by there is a children’s play park. Home grocery deliveries are made by some supermarkets. On the southern edge of the Cairngorms National Park, the cottage offers a perfect blend of comfort and natural beauty, making it the ideal escape from city life. Gushat Cottage, built around 1865, was developed from two separate buildings, cleverly joined together to make a unique family home.
Perfect for a family or group of six, this pleasant home boasts a warm and inviting open plan kitchen and dining area, and a comfortable living room with wood burner. Additional fridge/freezer and drying pulley in the walk-in cupboard off the hall. Sit at the kitchen table and watch the red squirrels and a myriad of birds feeding at the bird table in the secluded garden outside. Enter the cottage via the hallway and to the right is the lovely kitchen with open plan dining area. This leads to a large bright twin bedded room with en-suite walk-in shower and toilet. An attractive stairway leads up to the double bedroom and traditional en-suite bathroom with handheld shower and toilet. Across the hallway to the other side of the house is the living room with feature fireplace and wood burner. Overhead are the original wooden rafters. Another attractive stairway leads to the library with comfortable wing chair, small office desk for reading or catching up on emails. At the end of the living room two steps down lead to the spacious master bedroom and ‘Jack and Jill’ bathroom, with large bath, a walk-in overhead shower, and toilet. The cottage is warm and beautifully decorated and is a truly lovely place to stay.
You are surrounded by wonderful walks for all levels, cycling opportunities, golf, and water sports on the River Tay at Grandtully. The popular market town of Aberfeldy is a 15 minute drive west. There you will find the distillery with visitor centre, cafe, tours and tastings, the Co-op supermarket/fuel station and an impressive array of local shops, bars, and restaurants. Don’t miss the famous Watermill bookshop and café. The Birks Community cinema screens the latest film releases. Golf, tennis, and an indoor swimming pool are available, as well as an impressive children’s play park.
Continue 10 miles west and you come to the breathtaking landscapes of Kenmore and Loch Tay with its popular water sports centres and marina. The bustling town of Pitlochry is 9 miles to the east of the cottage and a further 11 miles north is the House of Bruar which attracts visitors and shoppers from far and wide. Nearby castles –Blair and Menzies – add historic interest and cultural events.

Gardeners’ cottage is a unique property comprising of three bedrooms, two doubles and a twin with an ample shower room on the first floor. On the ground floor there is a sunroom looking onto the enclosed private walled garden, a utility with toilet, the kitchen dining space is well-equipped and lighting can be adjusted to suit the mood.
The living room has a baby grand piano, record player and a wood burner, which makes it ideal for relaxing with friends and family or just reading a book in a tranquil setting. During the summer the walled garden is a treat to behold, there is a seating area and is an enclosed space for dogs and children. There is a spacious lawn to the front of the which is not enclosed so pets or young children will need to be supervised. If you need to work while staying at the cottage there is high speed fibre broadband which has recently been installed.
