Bird watching, walking, cycling on quiet country lanes, and seal watching at Dona Nook are all popular activities here, and the gloriously unspoilt coastline’s quaint seaside resorts such as Sutton on Sea and Anderby Creek are well worth exploring, whilst Mablethorpe and Skegness provide plenty of family fun. Pretty market towns (nearby Louth is a real gem), antiques hunting in Horncastle and racing at Market Rasen are all within an easy drive as is the city of Lincoln with its cobbled streets, castle, cathedral and famous Christmas market. Maintaining many original features and set in the heart of the Lincolnshire Wolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Eastlands Barn provides an excellent base from which to explore this area of Lincolnshire, and the owners conveniently live on-site. It is located between Louth, Horncastle and Market Rasen with its world-famous racecourse, excellent range of restaurants, pubs, shops and market. Horncastle is renowned for its antique shops and is only a short drive, as is the unspoilt Georgian town of Louth with two busy market days a week. A visit to the sandy beaches at Mablethorpe and Skegness is always worth a day out. The cathedral city of Lincoln, some 15 miles to the west , is rich in history combined with independent boutique shopping, great arts and culture and many places to eat and drink. Within 30 yards of the barn is a well-stocked trout lake for fly fishing and with 40 acres to walk around, there is plenty of opportunity to exercise yourself and your dogs. Stabling is available for your horse by arrangement with the owners. The Barn comes complete with a large open-plan living area with log burner making it ideal for family get-togethers and celebrations with a second sitting area complete with pool table adjacent. There is also an 8-seater hot tub available for guests use, with shower and changing facilities. Should you have a special occasion to celebrate, the owner can arrange for a local celebrity chef to prepare a special meal. All the bedrooms come with a tv and en-suite facilities. The village is approximately ¾ mile and boasts a post office/shop and a pub providing excellent food.

With the sandy beaches within walking distance and shops and pub also a stroll away, there is no need to use the car, but if you want to explore further along the coast, the busy seaside resort of Skegness is 14 miles away, the market towns of Alford, 7 miles and Louth, 20 miles, are all worth a day out. There is also a nearby bus stop which is the main bus route from Skegness to Mablethorpe. There is a popular hotel with a bar close by with two tennis courts. Free fishing is also available nearby.
