All local amenities including pubs, restaurants, takeaways and many individual shops such as grocers and butchers are on the doorstep. The property also has a small cottage garden to the rear where you can enjoy the peace and quiet away from the bustle of the town. Centrally located on the A4117 between Kidderminster and Ludlow. A visit to Ludlow with its castle and tudor historic centre is a must while sampling some of the renowned culinary delights. Visit Bewdley with the Severn Valley Railway and West Midlands Safari Park. A detached barn conversion within the owners’ grounds, in an elevated position overlooking the Tanat Valley and with a south facing patio and large grounds, the property is within ½ mile of the village of Treflach. The accommodation has been thoughtfully laid out, and visitors to the area will have easy access to Shropshire, Cheshire and Mid and North Wales. Offa’s Dyke National Trail runs within ½ mile of the property. Llanrhaedr waterfall, Powys Castle, Chirk Castle, Erddig, water sports at Bala, Lake Vyrnwy and Snowdon are all an easy drive. Built in the 1850s, this semi-detached holiday cottage has been upgraded and is located on the outskirts of Minsterley with its own gardens and countryside views. Walking, fishing, horse riding and a number of NT properties are all available locally, and a short drive will take you into local towns such as Shrewsbury, Church Stretton, Ludlow, Ironbridge and Bridgnorth, and in less than 15 miles you can cross over the border into mid Wales. This spacious, timber framed farmhouse is located within picturesque grounds including a sun trapped walled garden, fruit trees and brick apple store. Dating from the 17th century and Grade I listed, it was remodelled by John Nash, the famous Regency architect, to match the adjoining property (also National Trust and open six days a year). Cronkhill Farmhouse retains many period details, including beamed ceilings, quarry-tiled floors and an open fireplace. Providing spacious living accommodation, a well-equipped farmhouse-style kitchen and a large dining and entertaining space, it can sleep up to fourteen guests. Its idyllic situation combines a very convenient location, close to the bustling town of Shrewsbury and the prettiest villages of Shropshire. This is an excellent central base from which to explore Shropshire. Shrewsbury lies 3 miles to the north, with its fine period architecture, cinemas, restaurants, and excellent shopping; to the south are the spectacular Shropshire Hills. In its medieval castle setting, Ludlow provides a food paradise with restaurants and artisan shops galore. Eight miles to the east is the World Heritage site of Ironbridge Gorge and its many museums. Three ruined abbeys and the remains of the ancient Roman city of Wroxeter are all within a 20-minute drive.

England’s largest inland county, Shropshire remains one of the country’s least populated and unspoilt landscapes, where bustling ancient market towns lie encompassed by acres of countryside. This is an area immersed in history, with the Domesday Book association, noteworthy castles which include the English Heritage castle at Moreton Corbet, the hilltop remains at Montgomery and Clun to the south, and of course, the splendid sandstone fortifications which dominate the centre of Shrewsbury.
Whether you crave activity, history, culture or shopping, nearby towns have plenty to offer all tastes and ages. Oswestry boasts the legendary King Oswald’s Well - said to have curative powers, Wroxeter the fourth largest city in Roman Britain is only 5 miles outside of Shrewsbury on the way to the historic Ironbridge Gorge and Blists Hill Victorian Town. The RAF Museum at Cosford, Attingham Park (National Trust), Hawkstone Historic Park and Follies, a 10-mile ride on the Llangollen railway through the stunning Dee Valley, or 18 holes of golf at Oswestry Golf Course - all are within easy reach of Field House.
