Immerse yourself in the magnificence of this stunning former farmhouse of Fountain Hill Farm which is set on its own in the ‘picture-postcard’ Pembrokeshire countryside. It has fabulous views of the Preseli Hills, while a tributary of the River Nevern meanders at the bottom of the orchard. This grand farmhouse is teeming with character and offers a very high level of comfort throughout, with solid oak floors, beams and an original inglenook fireplace, which really do complement this property. A natural stone porch opens into a large reception area which features a wood burner set in a Welsh stone inglenook fireplace with a slate hearth, and oak stairs to the first floor. A dining room adds to the character and charm, with exposed stonework and a bespoke dining table. Here you can enjoy formal dining with family and friends, or maybe enjoy a barbecue al fresco on the patio, where there are uninterrupted views over the beautiful Preseli Hills, or just relax in your private hot tub. In the evening, you can retire to one of the two living rooms complete with a cosy wood burner - this property really does offer everything for that perfect getaway. The large master suite offers fantastic views, with even your very own observatory making the most of the magnificent views here at Fountain Hill.
Positioned at the foothills of the Preseli Hills, it lies close to the quaint hamlet of Eglwyswrw, and is conveniently on the doorstep of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, which offers fantastic walks through the hills and on the coastal paths, as well as horse riding, fishing on the Rivers Teifi and Nevern, and even sea fishing and wildlife spotting. There is also golf within 8 miles, as well as kayaking nearby. The historic market town of Cardigan is only a 15-minute drive away, and nearby are a host of beautiful beaches such as Poppit and Newport Sands or Cwm-Yr-Eglwys and Pwllgwaelod. This rugged and sublime Pembrokeshire coastline really is worth a visit. The historic market town of Cardigan has a bustling high street featuring the famous Cardigan Castle, many antique and craft shops, together with an abundance of restaurants and cafés. Travelling south, you can discover the famous walled town of Tenby with its award-winning beach, or take a trip to Caldey Island or Oakwood (Wales’ largest theme park) or the award-winning Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo, all of which will make the perfect day out. Swn Y Nant is a stunning lodge in the heart of the Brecon Beacons. This eco-friendly property is perfect for those wanting to explore the area or to simply have a romantic break away from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
Nestled next to a stream and with a ramp to the entrance, this fabulous lodge comprises a ground floor bedroom with a super kingsize zip and link bed and a ground floor bathroom with a walk-in shower, a double-ended two-person bath and a heated towel rail. The open plan living, dining and kitchen space has floor-to-ceiling windows making it light and airy and has a Smart TV, super fast Wi-Fi up 150 mbps download and patio doors leading to the decked area with a private hot tub. There is also a small utility area. To the first floor is a kingsize bedroom with Smart TV. There is underfloor heating throughout the property with zoned thermostatic controls.
Outside, you will find hot and cold taps, perfect for washing your four-legged friends off after a walk in the hills. This eco-friendly lodge has eco cleaning products which are supplied along with a welcome basket of local produce, as well as a welcome basket for your dog containing treats and eco waste bags, also supplied is a bed, a blanket and a towel for your four-legged friend. A medium sized dog cage is available upon request.
There are plenty of walks to be had from the property; it is 6 miles to the historic town of Brecon with its array of coffee shops, small local independent shops, and art galleries. There is something here for everyone, and for those looking for more adventures then why not climb the high peaks of Pen Y Fan and take in the breathtaking views of the rolling countryside?

This delightful log cabin has been thoughtfully furnished to offer a cosy and welcoming feel, with enough room for all the family. On a covered veranda in the garden you will find the blissful hot tub, which offers the perfect place to relax at the end of the day, with views of the pleasant enclosed garden. Both bedrooms offer the flexibility of zip and link twin beds which can be made into super kingsize beds (on request). The owners have thoughtfully provided complimentary toiletries should you forget your own!
Bring your bucket and spade as the glorious sandy beach at Morfa Dyffryn is just a mile down the road and offers superb views over to the Rhinog Mountains. For the more adventurous, Zip World and Bounce Below at Blaenau Ffestiniog are a thrill seekers delight, whilst the famous Ffestiniog Railway and mighty Harlech Castle are also well worth a visit. From Barmouth, why not hire a bike and cycle across Barmouth Bridge and along the Mawddach Trail to Penmaenpool and Dolgellau? Beach 1 mile. Shops 300 yards, pubs and restaurants ½ mile.

Maesydderwen, meaning oak field, started life as a working farm and later became a country inn, but is now a collection of delightful holiday cottages, beautifully situated within the living landscape of the Brecon Beacons National Park. The charming market town of Llandeilo, with chic shops and an array of good restaurants, cafes and pubs, is just over three miles away. This holiday property has CCTV and has been renovated by the owners who live on-site, and boasts a fantastic hot tub and comfortable accommodation ideal for families, friends or couples. The property has been awarded Bronze in the Carmarthenshire Tourism Awards for self catering accommodation of the year 2018/2019 (3 units or more). There is an abundance of wildlife to see and enjoy from the grounds including woodpecker, siskin, marsh tit, goldfinch, nuthatch and wild roe deer. Red kites can also often be seen soaring overhead and there is a feeding station a 20-minute drive away. You can leave the car behind and enjoy wonderful walks directly from the cottage. If you can drag yourself away from Maesydderwen, there are the beautiful castles of Carreg Cennen and Dinefwr nearby, and the dammed lake of Llyn Y Fan Fach at the western border of the Black Mountains. The National Botanic Garden of Wales, 11 miles, with its great glasshouse dome at its centre, is a year round attraction, and within the Brecon Beacons National Park there are masses of paths and trails for walkers, runners, cyclists, mountain bikers, golfers, horse riders and wildlife watchers. Adrenaline sports such as paragliding, canoeing, rafting and abseiling can also be organised within the national park. Fishing is available in the nearby Towy Valley. Beach 30 miles. This lovely 1900s barn was formerly a cow shed and milking parlour, and has been converted to a high standard with luxury fixtures and fittings. It is situated on a working beef and sheep farm with a pedigree Hereford suckler herds, sheep and goats and lies adjacent to the owners’ home. This semi-detached property is all one level and has a family bathroom, a double bedroom with en-suite facilities and a twin bedroom. The corridor leads to an open plan living space and the fabulous fitted kitchen has all the necessary appliances you could need. There is also a lovely breakfast bar for you to enjoy your meals whilst looking at the open countryside through the patio doors. The living area has a wood burner, ideal for keeping you cosy on those colder evenings, and patio doors lead out to a patio area and the garden, great for exercising the dogs, and children. After a long walk, imagine relaxing in the private hot tub just looking out onto the rolling green hills – perfect!
Ammanford itself has a coffee roastery serving fantastic coffee as well as breakfasts. There is also a large selection of shops, supermarkets and local pubs, some serving good food and with panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and castles. Pantyffynnon station is within walking distance of the property on Heart of Wales line to Shrewsbury or Cardiff in the other
direction.
There is also plenty to do in the area, with the beaches of Gower approximately 18 miles. The lovely old market town of Llandeilo, situated on the River Towy, is just 6 miles away with boutiques and galleries, and hosts various festivals throughout the year, including the Jazz Festival and the Gin Festival. For those wanting to explore the local countryside, there are plenty of walks from the property and some great biking trails. Beach 12¾ miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.

Pembrey must be the only place in Europe where guests can sunbathe, swim and hunt for shipwrecks on the beaches, then experience the thrill of a toboggan run or race down the park’s 130m dry ski slope. Away from the coast, Carmarthenshire’s countryside is just as promising, with its array of charming market towns including Carmarthen and Llandeilo, as well as its numerous enchanted sites dotted around the county, such as the historic castles of Kidwelly, Carreg Cennen and the 12th-century castle of Dinefwr, nestled amongst a tranquil 800-acre park with wild fallow deer running free. The famous town of Laugharne is just a short drive away and was once home to the famous Welsh poet Dylan Thomas, which features his iconic boat house and historic castle lying peacefully on the edge of the glistening river Taf. Just a 30-minute drive away are the popular coastal resorts of Tenby and Saundersfoot, home to numerous gift shops, restaurants and thrilling leisure attractions, including Oakwood Theme Park, Manor House Wildlife Park and Folly Farm. Additionally, the ancient Druid’s Circle at Lligwy and the picturesque Red Wharf Bay are just a short drive away, offering a taste of rich history and natural beauty. Manor Lodge Stables is nestled within the hamlet of Wiston and near to the market town of Narberth, deep within the rolling Pembrokeshire countryside. Once a large stable block set around a south-facing courtyard, it has now been totally transformed into this fantastic space and is ideal for families and friends alike with a high level of comfort and luxury. Enjoy a number of beautiful countryside walks from your doorstep and take in the remains of Wiston Castle with sublime views across the county. In the nearby village of Llawhaden you can take a step back in time to impressive Llawhaden Castle again offering amazing views and trip back in time. Take a 5-minute drive to the small village of Clarbeston Road, offering a traditional Welsh pub serving meals and local ales or Narberth around a 15 minutes’ drive and offers a plethora of eateries specialising in locally sourced produce, boutique and antique shops all waiting to be discovered.
The hub of the house is a large open plan living space with glass bi-folding doors giving stunning views bringing the outside in. These lead onto a spacious patio area which is perfect for catching the sunshine with a glass of wine after a busy day of sightseeing. The kitchen offers the perfect space to cook up a storm to celebrate that special occasion with a modern contemporary feel throughout, there’s even the added luxury of an ice and water dispenser in the fridge to help you cool down on those warmer days. On an evening you can relax in front of the focal wood burner or catch the game on TNT Sports, or perhaps soak in the free-standing slipper bath before retiring to your bedroom. Each room has been finished to a high standard and really does offer excellent levels of comfort and space throughout with the master bedroom having the added luxury of a rainforest shower. For those who may be less mobile, a purpose built aluminium ramp to aid with access into the property is available on request. For pets, there is an external, warm water shower hose.
A great day out for your family is the famous walled town of Tenby, compete with its fantastic beach, cobbled streets and picture postcard harbour. Just a 30-minute drive away, here you can also take a boat trip fishing or to Caldey Island to see the Cistercian monks of Caldey Abbey. A visit to Wild Lakes Wakeboard Park (15 mins from Lodge) is highly recommended; the giant inflatable obstacle course in the middle of the lake is fantastic fun for all the family. The beaches at Newgale and Broadhaven are within a 30-minute drive and offer surfing and canoe hire, whilst marros Stables offer beach horse riding. Clerkenhill Adventure Park is a 10-minute drive, Carew Castle is a 20-minute drive and Pembroke Castle is a 30-minute drive. Hangar 5 offers a large indoor trampoline park and a soft play area, perfect for those rainy days, and is only 15 minutes away, and 20 minutes away you can explore Folly Farm Zoo. There are a variety of outward bound activity companies which offer exhilarating boat trips and activities such as coasteering. For those keen fisherman Holgan Farm fishery is a 10 minutes drive.
