Come and enjoy Trondra House set on the edge of the picture postcard coastal village of Ferryside on the mouth of the estuary where the river Towy joins the Carmarthen Bay Ferryside’s history is unique and today it still possesses a charm and character. A five minute walk away is the beach and all facilities including a pub, resturant (offers coffee in the mornings) and swimming pool. This is the perfect base for exploring South West Wales with sandy beaches and wonderful countryside in abundance.
The Millennium Coastal Park footpath runs from Ferryside and visits the rugged coves, stunning beaches and dramatic coastline this area has to offer, and is perfect by foot or cycle and runs for 14 miles passing Kidwelly, Burry Port and onto Llanelli. Trondra House is set on a small cul-de-sac of similar properties and is a superb holiday base offering spacious accommodation throughout.
On the ground floor the open plan living/kitchen/dining area offers a great social space with solid wood floors and flooded with light from the French doors which lead onto the conservatory, where you can enjoy an early morning coffee whilst watching the plethora of birdlife feeding. On the first floor the bright and airy master bedroom boasts a Juliet balcony; both bedrooms have been lovingly furnished with a good nights sleep in mind. The bathroom is ideal to rest those muscles after a busy day sightseeing with a large double-ended bath or enjoy the spacious walk-in double shower. On those warm summer evenings enjoy sitting outside with a BBQ with your family.
A trip to the coastal walled town of Tenby is around a 45 minute drive, here your family can discover the cobbled streets; take a boat trip to Caldey Island to see the Cistercian monks; take a swim or enjoy fish and chips on the harbour walls. Oakwood Theme Park, Folly Farm Zoo and Heatherton World of Adventure, are also a nearby fantastic day out. Beach 1 mile.

Pendegy Mill lies within a wooded valley on the edge of the rural village of Llanybri, nestled in the Carmarthenshire countryside. Sited a convenient distance from the historic coastal village of Llansteffan, it is just half a mile from the West Wales Coastal Path. These two beautiful cottages, situated next to the owners’ home, are the perfect base to explore all that Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire have to offer. Mill Cottage was a working water mill; the mill race running into the babbling stream flowing through the beautiful grounds out to the River Taff and into the Carmarthen Bay. These two Welsh stone barns, The Granary and Mill Cottage, have been lovingly restored and offer an idyllic holiday location. They have been finished to a very good standard throughout and have been thoughtfully furnished. On the ground floor is an open plan living space which is superb for social and family gatherings. Take in the coastal air outside in the shared lawns and garden - the perfect spot to dine al fresco and enjoy a delicious meal cooked on the BBQ.
Take a trip into nearby Llansteffan for freshly brewed coffee or travel back in time with a visit to Llansteffan Castle which is steeped in history, and boasts commanding views across the estuary of the River Towy and out towards the Gower Peninsula. Travelling west, a trip to Laugharne is a must. Here you can visit the house and writing shed of famous poet Dylan Thomas, or stop for a refreshing drink and meal at one of the local pubs he would often frequent. Further along this unique coastline is the village of Pendine, which boasts 7 miles of beautiful sandy beach where the land speed record was set in the famous car, Babs. The car was excavated from the Pendine Sands and can be seen today at the Museum of Speed in the town. Within a 40-minute drive you can visit Carmarthen, the National Botanical Gardens of Wales, the famous walled seaside town of Tenby, or enjoy a day out at Wales’ largest theme park, Oakwood. Moss Cottage is situated in the heart of the coastal town of Burry Port, on the doorstep of the Millennium Coastal footpath that meanders through the stunning scenery of Llanelli through to the historic town of Kidwelly. Lovingly restored, this terraced cottage has retained all of the property’s original charm and character, with an open plan living/dining room complete with a focal inglenook fireplace and a great sociable kitchen/breakfast room. On the first floor, the character continues with original stripped back floor boards and a restored feature fireplace within the master bedroom. The two double bedrooms also boast sea views. Make the most of the balmy summer days on the enclosed courtyard, while a few steps further away there is a lawned garden to enjoy. There is an in house gallery which supports local artists, pictures can be purchased from the owner.
With the beautiful Gower to the east and Pembrokeshire to the west, Moss Cottage is perfectly positioned to explore south and west Wales, but there is also so much to discover within Carmarthenshire. It has it all - castles, gardens, beaches, unique towns, varied landscapes and an overwhelming choice of activities. Enjoy a plethora of traditional Welsh pubs specialising in organic and home cooked food. 6 miles away is Pembrey Country Park and beach, with 550 acres of woodland, Segway and cycle hire, pitch and putt, nature trails, a dry ski slope and the longest toboggan run in Wales. Explore the history of the area and visit Kidwelly Castle, Laugharne Castle and Dylan Thomas Boat House. The National Botanic Garden of Wales, with a huge glass dome, is perfect for a day out whatever the weather, or discover a wide range of wildlife at the Llanelli Wetland Centre. One of the oldest towns, Carmarthen, is easily accessible by car, and horse racing enthusiasts will appreciate the close proximity to Ffos Las Racecourse. Marros Hill Log Cabin is set within grounds of the owners small holding, nestled on the edge of the valley and enjoying sweeping views down across the Carmarthenshire countryside and out towards this beautiful coastline. Enjoy a short walk to the quaint hamlet of Marros or in 20 minutes you can be enjoying Marros beach which on low tide joins Pendine beach with 7 miles of golden sands all accessible on foot. Pendine is made famous for the land speed record, which was achieved by Malcolm Campbell; here you can step back in time at the Museum of Speed on the waterfront, enjoy the local traditional Welsh pub for an evening meal, breakfast at the café, and village shop with all the essentials.

For those looking for some history, Kidwelly Castle is 5 miles from the property. There is an award winning golf course for those enthusiasts just 4 miles from the property, or walk across to the harbour and enjoy a light snack and drink in the local restaurant. You can also walk to the lighthouse, there are some lovely views to be had from here. For the cyclists in the group, why not make use of the miles of traffic-free cycle track that runs along the coastline and is literally on the doorstep. Beach 350 yards.
