    Inside you will be greeted by an immaculate and tastefully restored cottage, the kitchen diner is a fabulous warm entertaining space, fully equipped with everything you’ll need and more. Wander through to the rear enclosed landscaped garden, a stunning spot to relax and enjoy the tree lined backdrop. The living room has a traditional wood burner with sophisticated and comfortable seating, a restful space to sit with a cuppa or a glass of wine, and chat about the day’s adventures. There really is everything you need within a few hundred yards walking distance from the cottage, pubs, restaurants a local shop with bakery and some fabulous independent shops to peruse, not to mention a whole host of outdoor shops.
    Only 2 miles away is Llyn (lake ) Elsi, and Llyn Geirionydd is less than 6 miles away, here you can use Kayaks and Paddle boards. The Marin bike trails at Gwydir are less than 4 miles away. Take a walk to the picturesque Swallow Falls only 2 miles from the cottage. Just under 3 miles you can find tree top climbing and a Forest coaster ride! With Zip World and Bounce Bellow at Llechwedd Quarry 20 minutes’ drive an epic experience for any age. For the more intrepid adventurer Pen Y Pass route for mount Snowdon is only 10 miles away, with the more popular Llanberis route 16 miles distance.
    Further down the coast less than 30 minutes’ drive, is the walled harbour town of Conwy, home to the smallest house in Britain and the imposing UNESCO world heritage site of Conwy Castle. What a place to really experience it all, there’s something for everyone of all ages to enjoy in this special region. Beach 18 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 800 yards.

    Betws-y-Coed, Wales
    The property is set in a rural location yet only just over 2 miles is Betws-y-Coed known as the ‘gateway to the Snowdonia National Park’, a popular destination for all age groups. It’s a bustling spot with many highly rated eateries to enjoy, friendly pubs, some fabulous shops selling local items, and various outdoor pursuit shops, the golf club (which welcomes visitors) is also in central Betws-y-Coed. There are some very scenic walks to explore, along rivers, waterfalls, Llyn (lake) Elsi sits above the village and is well worth the hike up.
    Just down the valley from Betws-y-Coed is the famous Marin Bike Trails, with colour coded routes suitable for all abilities. You’ll find a bike hire shop in Betws-y-Coed and at the nearby market town of Llanrwst; here you will also find a larger grocery store. Just up the road from the Marin bike trails is Llyn Geirionydd (Geirionydd Lake) this is a wonderful spot for a day out where you can use the lake to take a dip or use your paddle boards and kayaks; there are picnic benches available, parking and toilets.
    Tree Top Adventures are nearby where you will find six adventures to choose from, some of which are tree hoping, a forest coaster and skyride, check out their website and be sure to book to avoid disappointment. About 20 minutes’ drive from the cottage is Llechwedd Slate Caverns at Blaenau Ffestiniog, another great day out for the kids and adults alike, with further activities for all interests such as deep mine tours, underground golf, ziplines and more.
    Just down the coast less than 30 minutes’ drive is the pretty harbour town of Conwy, a wonderful vibrant town full of history and interesting places to visit such as Conwy Castle, the smallest house in Great Britain, Plas Mawr, independent shops, restaurants, wine bars and traditional pubs. Walk the castle walls, catch a boat from the harbour, go crabbing at the marina, or follow the picturesque coastal path to Morfa Conwy, a beautiful sandy and dog-friendly beach.
