About this property

Middleton 3.7 miles. This charming, detached lodge, Chloe's Lodge, enjoys a range of walking trails on its doorstep in Cropton near Middleton, Ryedale. A fantastic, countryside retreat for a family of six, the lodge enjoys ground-floor and rustic, timber-clad accommodation throughout, whilst also being able to welcome two canine companions. An off-road parking space greets you on arrival, so you can arrive and get settled in with ease. Make your way inside to be enveloped by the underfloor heating of the open-plan living space, before sinking back into one of the plush, leather sofas in front of the wall-mounted TV. After relaxing for a while, continue to the kitchen, a contemporary space including all you need for a self-catering stay, such as a dishwasher. After the foodie of the group has rustled up a homecooked delights, tuck-in at the dining table; alternatively, you can take it out to the picnic bench and savour it amidst the forest backdrop. As night falls, retreat to one of the three thoughtfully laid-out bedrooms, two of which offer doubles, and the latter comprising twin beds, ideal for little ones! A spacious wet room can be found close by, where you can enjoy an invigorating rinse before embarking on one of the several hikes in the area, including The Cropton Round trail and Cropton Forest. The village of Middleton isn't far and offers your amenities, including a tea parlour, friendly pub and a convenience store; so, there's no need to venture far for the things you need. Why not spend the day in Pickering, where the wonders of Pickering Castle's remains and The Beck Isle Museum await, as well as a wonderful trail winding through Pickering Millennium Wood? For a day by the coast, head to Scarborough, a resort offering a huge selection of things to do, including Alpamare UK, hikes along The Cleveland Way, SEA LIFE and the Rotunda Museum, just to name a few. The North York Moors National Park is a stone's throw away and offers even more to see and do, including Go Ape Dalby, the Hole of Horcum amphitheatre and the hiking area of Cawthorn Roman Camp, all of which are within easy reach of the lodge. Kirkbymoorside and Malton rest close by, whilst the city of York is also within reach and offers historical landmarks and attractions in abundance. A wonderful break awaits at Chloe's Lodge.
