The owners have had plenty of experience staying in holiday homes themselves, so have ensured that you should have all you need for a comfortable stay. The property is dog friendly with an enclosed garden to its rear and the use of a garage allowing storage for bicycles, canoes or even a small boat. There is allocated parking in front of the garage. There are many activities to discover close by including golf, fishing, water sports, horse riding, boat trips and plentiful scenic walks.
Venture out south from the property and enjoy the extensive views of Chichester Harbour, an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and haven for bird life. Sandy beaches at Hayling Island and The Witterings are all about a 20-minute drive away. Whilst to the north lies the rich and varied countryside of the South Downs National Park, with its many miles of bridle and footpaths, rural villages, and traditional country pubs to discover. A 10-minute drive to the east is the elegant cathedral town of Chichester, which has a Roman villa, popular theatre, cinema complex, leisure centre with indoor pool, and a host of restaurants, inns and shops. Bosham and Emsworth, both great for sailing are less than 10 minutes away. There is also a train station less than a mile away with direct links to London, Brighton, Littlehampton and Portsmouth.
The Goodwood Estate in the heart of West Sussex, famed for its motor racing, golfing and horse racing and home to the world-famous Festival of Speed is also nearby, as is the open-air Weald and Downland Museum and next door to that are West Dean Gardens. Historic Arundel is within easy reach, with a castle and Wildfowl and Wetlands Park. Alternatively, to the west, you will find the nautical city of Portsmouth with Spinnaker Tower, Gunwharf Quays with its designer outlets and waterside dining, plus the historic dockyard where you can take a tour around the HMS Victory and the Mary Rose Museum. Southampton, the New Forest, and Brighton are all within an hour’s drive.
