Stalmine is located approximately 5 miles from the small market town of Poulton-le-Fylde which has a good selection of shops, bars, and cafés. Apart from being accessible for the coast, Carr End Barn A is also well-placed for exploring rural Lancashire. Ribble Valley with its pretty villages is within an hour’s drive, and it’s an excellent choice for walks and country pubs. The Forest of Bowland, which is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, can also be reached within an hour’s drive. The Lake District and Yorkshire Dales are also very accessible by road and can be reached in an hour. The city of Lancaster is just 13 miles away and Preston is 19 miles. Beach 9¾ miles. The Old School House is a superb property situated in Horrabridge, on the edge of Dartmoor National Park.
It’s an extremely spacious 5000 square foot, late-Victorian former schoolhouse, built in 1875 of local stone and slate. This beautiful seven-bedroom holiday home comfortably accommodates up to twenty two guests and presents a wonderful base for a group of family and friends to enjoy a luxurious and relaxing break. Horrabridge is a beautiful village with a village green and medieval bridge on the banks of the River Walkham. It is serviced by a selection of shops including a post office and stores, bakery, fish and chip shop, art gallery and two pubs. Tavistock, a nearby thriving market town rich in history and tradition dating back to the 10th century, just 3½ miles away to the northwest.

The beautiful village of Brompton lies 8 miles to the west of Scarborough, a tranquil picturesque village home to the church where the poet William Wordsworth married. A picture postcard village with a small stream running down to a picnic area. Here you can feed the ducks and watch the swans and other wildlife.
The farmer’s hens roam freely around the village which gives that feeling of really being in the countryside and amongst the farming community. The house is in a quiet area next to the church and benefits from a large enclosed garden with woodland areas and lots of space for the children to run and play. There’s a Wendy house and a summer house that serve as a getaway for the kids, with game consoles and a TV. The forest is famous for its bike trails and in the past has been home to the World Championship Mountain Bike event. The visitor centre within the forest is popular all year round with its great café and the events that are organised for the children throughout the year. It’s also home to ‘Go Ape’ a high ropes adventure course with zip wires and swings.
Lawnswood is a perfect base to visit the Yorkshire Wolds, the North York Moors and the East Coast. Beach 9 miles. Shop 300 yards, pub 2 miles, restaurant 1 mile.

Antfield Farmhouse is a beautiful spacious holiday home near to the shores of Loch Ness. Situated on an amazing plot of land, the farmhouse enjoys panoramic views across pasture to woodland and mountains. The farmhouse still has some original nineteenth century dimensions.

Antfield Farmhouse sleeps ten people in total and is therefore perfect for an extended family, two families or group of friends. On entering the farmhouse, you go through the front porch door, before the large hallway. Off to the left is the main living room with open fire and large Smart TV and enjoys wonderful views of the dramatic landscape, this then leads through to the snug/playroom. To the right of the hallway is a large dining room area which looks out to the front of the house with views. Further down the hallway through a door leads to the double bedroom, then there is another small hall with a separate shower room and toilet. The kitchen has everything you’ll need to cook up a storm for family and friends and then gather round the dining table. Next to kitchen is a utility/games room with pool table and darts leading to the patio and large garden. Back to the hallway, and upstairs you reach the first-floor accommodation consisting of 4 large kingsize bedrooms all en-suite.

The garden is large, laid mostly to lawn and enjoys views in all directions. It’s very child and dog friendly, as it’s fully enclosed, you will also enjoy looking at a private small grassy paddock with horses and donkeys, but this is not for guests to go in.

Discover some of the many historic sites, such as Culloden Battlefield and Fort George, or stroll along some of the many unspoilt beaches. Dores beach at Loch Ness shores is only 2 miles from Antfield and main beach 23 miles.
