150 yards from the property is a beautiful area by the river and the owner has put a picnic bench, a firepit and some garden furniture for you to sit and watch the children playing in the river and enjoy the sounds and sights of the local wildlife. Red kites, otters, swans, herons and kingfishers are a regular sight.

Located between the historic village of Llanddewi Brefi with its famous church, and the small market town of Tregaron, well known for its walks, Red Kite Centre and trotting races. Nearby are the harbour towns of Aberystwyth and Aberaeron, which have great restaurants and boutique shops. Aberystwyth also offers a narrow-gauge railway, castle grounds, art centre and live theatre/music. Set on the fringes of Aviemore village, a wonderful location for enjoying the great outdoors in the heart of the Cairngorm National Park, these superbly appointed and beautifully furnished properties offer a very high degree of comfort. Boasting spectacular uninterrupted views over the Firth of Clyde coast and across the sea to the Isle of Arran (pictured), this spacious and exceptionally well-appointed property sits just one mile from the picturesque fishing harbour at Dunure. Auchendennan Farm Cottage (SLLX) is a single-storey holiday cottage; within the house there is a large family sauna which can be used as an ideal way to unwind. Outside on the sun decking, there is a sunken hot tub which is large enough for all the family and powerful enough to give tired muscles a proper massage. Rose Cottage (SRRG) is a single-storey conversion adjoining the owner’s farmhouse. Combining modern and traditional furnishings, the property boasts a superb hot tub and external sun decked area for relaxing and unwinding. Burnbeag (SVVE) is a stunning, detached cottage to the rear of the steadings and has a stream running through its private enclosed garden, which has a decked area and hot tub. In summer, Loch Lomond’s ancient oak woods ring with birdsong. Look out for redstarts, pied flycatchers and wood warblers. Ospreys are summer visitors to the loch and nearby Lake of Menteith. In the high country of Breadalbane, golden eagles may be seen soaring over mountain slopes richly carpeted in alpine plants. Watch out for porpoises and seals and glimpse Loch Lomond’s herd of fallow deer as they bound through the trees. Loch Lomond and Loch Earn are some of Scotland’s prime venues for sailing and water-skiing, while the rivers Balvaig and Teith are popular with canoeists. The Teith is also a great salmon river and one of many places popular with anglers. For golfing enthusiasts, the famous courses of Loch Lomond are just a short distance from the property, with an abundance of courses for all standards within easy reach.
Walking is a popular pursuit, from gentle low-level strolls to strenuous mountain climbs. Ben Lomond, Ben Lui, Ben Ime and Ben Vorlich are among the 21 Munros (mountains over 3000 feet). The West Highland Way stretches from the edge of Glasgow to Fort William, hugging the banks of Loch Lomond and passing through the spectacular mountain scenery of Strathfillan. There are great opportunities for cycling on and off road on National Cycle Network Route 7, which passes through the National Park from Balloch to Killin. This fabulous property is nestled within the Brecon Beacons National Park, next to Llwyn-on reservoir, which lies in 150 acres of land and is one of the biggest of the Taffs reservoirs. Great walks can be had around the reservoir, and for those with an interest in fishing, it is stocked with rainbow trout (license to be purchased locally). If you are looking to explore the surrounding area, this property is just a few miles from Pen Y Fan and Corn Du, Pen Y Fan being the highest peak in Wales, standing at 873 metres above sea level. There is an abundance of walks to be had in the Brecon Beacons National Park, but no need to worry if it’s raining as umbrellas with lights are provided at the cottage! If its cycling you’re interested in, then Bike Park Wales is roughly 6 miles from the property, boasting several trails from beginners to proline. The property also has a bike store for those bringing bicycles (please bring your own bike lock).
The nearest village is Cefn Coed, which is approximately 2 miles from the property, and there are plenty of convenience stores, restaurants and pubs, and there is also a golf course here. Merthyr Tydfil is a 10-minute drive from the property and has all the amenities you could need, plenty of shops, restaurants, bars. The historic market town of Brecon is a 25-minute drive away, Cardiff is a 40-minute drive and Swansea is a 50-minute drive. A spacious end-terraced Georgian town house set right in the heart of the historic market town of Richmond.
