Sheringham has the headquarters of the Poppy Line North Norfolk Steam Railway, Splash and Fun Water Park, RNLI life boat station and museum, cliff top golf course, Sheringham Park (NT) and town centre with shops, café and restaurants. RSPB nature and bird reserves at Blakeney Quay, Morston Harbour, Cley next the Sea and Salthouse. An hours drive away is Holkham Hall (NT), Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall (NT). Built in the late 1700s, Hobland Barn had a number of uses, such as for cattle, grain and potato storage. It was renovated as a family home with light, space and the Norfolk countryside views at the heart of its design. The Parade Apartment is a first floor, one bedroom apartment perfect for couples and is situated on The Bay at Filey. This apartment also gives you access to the facilities on-site, including a large, heated indoor swimming pool, tennis courts, gym, café and a pub that serves traditional pub meals. The Bay is a large holiday complex close to the seaside resort of Filey and from the complex you can walk along the beach to Filey or there is a local bus service. Filey has a large supermarket as well as plenty of restaurants, bars and shops.

The apartment also makes a perfect base to visit this beautiful area, from the wonderful North Yorkshire Moors National Park to the rolling hills of the Yorkshire Wolds. Just along the coast there’s the RSPB bird sanctuary at Bempton Cliffs where you can see the puffins perched on the cliffs. This whole coastline is full of nature reserves and wildlife. This lovely detached lodge is situated on the popular holiday park “The Bay” and is close to the seaside resort of Filey. Filey is the nearest town and has a large supermarket as well as shops, restaurants and bars. It is still a very traditional resort with donkeys, fresh seafood stalls and an historic promenade. Scarborough and Bridlington are both within a short drive, both larger and busier than Filey and with plenty of attractions to visit, including leisure centres, waterparks, theatres, a SeaLife Centre and lots more.

The RSPB bird sanctuary at Bempton Cliffs is just a short drive away, where you can spot thousands of migrating seabirds from the viewing points along the clifftops. The ever popular puffins attract overseas visitors, and in the spring and summer months you can catch the puffin boat ‘The Yorkshire Belle’ and sail to the foot of the cliffs to get a close up view of the birds, a fantastic opportunity for nature lovers.
