Enjoying uninterrupted views of the award-winning Mawgan Porth beach, this fantastic beach house is surrounded by a third of an acre of beautifully kept gardens with a large, sea facing, sun trap decking area, overlooking gently sloping lawns and a pretty stream that trickles down to the sea below. Solar panels help heat the house and water while providing free electrical car charging for our guests’ electric vehicle.

Over the past year (2022), the house has been renovated to the highest standards by one of the country’s leading interior designers and offers plenty of living space all benefitting from exceptional sea views and floor to ceiling sliding doors leading to a large decking area. The large circular fireplace makes for cosy evenings during the Autumn and Winter months. The brand-new handmade kitchen is well supplied with all creature comforts from a juicer to a selection of coffee machines, including a Nespresso. A door leads into a separate TV room with a big corner sofa, both with fabulous sea views and door to the terrace. Three ground floor bedrooms, ome with chandelier, two with those stunning views. A beautiful glass and oak staircase leads from the entrance hall up to the first floor where you will find three more bedrooms; a double bedroom with en-suite shower room; a large twin bedroom with large en-suite shower room, and one with a TV and sofa bed which enjoys the best views of all.

The beach is just a 5-minute walk away from the garden gate. Off the drive, there is a lawned area and to the side of the house a heated outdoor shower for when you return from the beach. The equipment store has a range of children’s wetsuits and storage for boards. Once cleaned off, you can luxuriate in the state-of-the-art Aspen and Spruce spa with a sauna, experiential shower plus cold water bucket for the brave. Situated mid-way between Padstow and Newquay, Mawgan Porth offers you a beautiful west facing beach, stunning scenery, wondrous walks, superb surfing, an amazing variety of restaurants to suit everyone’s taste and pocket, including a cosy pub, seafood restaurant, cafés, and takeaways all within walking distance of Blue Seas. Celebrate in style with friends and family at this substantial venue, sleeping up to fifteen guests. You can either relax at the property in the hot tub or large garden or explore the many things to see and do in the surrounding area. You can also enjoy a game of pool in the utility room which has a pool table and seating along with the washing machine, tumble dryer and Belfast sink. The kitchen has a warming Aga, and steps lead down to a breakfast area with a dining table and seating for eight guests. The larger, formal dining room has a dining table and seating for 12-14 guests.
This elegant, detached house is ideal for groups, families or couples and blends character with every day modern day comforts. It is perfectly positioned to explore the Norfolk Broads National Park and Norfolk’s amazing coastline with sandy beaches and RSPB bird reserves. Neighbouring the owners’ working arable farm (not accessible to guests) it is privately surrounded by its own large garden.
It has nearby links to public footpaths and bridleways, including Weavers Way, winding 61 miles through the North Norfolk countryside. Another way to enjoy the area is on horseback; there is a equestrian centre nearby (within ½ mile) where you can hire a horse for the day, or you can even house your own horse, with a variety of livery options available. The centre is registered with Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) charity. There are tremendous circular cycling routes via Dilham Canal and a wealth of opportunities for walking direct from the doorstep, so do remember to pack your walking boots. For anglers, there is carp fishing within ½ mile.
The market town of North Walsham, 6 miles, has a good selection of shops, supermarkets, bank, a weekly market, bowling alley, leisure centre with swimming pool, restaurants, and cafés. Worstead church is a superb 14th-century building, full of historic and architectural interest. Wroxham, the capital of the Norfolk Broads is 6½ miles for daily boat hire and river trips, waterside restaurants, cafés and shops. It also has a train station with links to Norwich city, 13 miles, for excellent shopping centres, theatre, market, castle museum, cathedral, cafés and restaurants, and coast and Bure Valley Steam Railway; a nostalgic 18-mile trip by steam on Norfolk’s longest narrow gauge railway which runs between the historic market towns of Aylsham and Wroxham, with wayside halts serving the picturesque Broadland villages of Brampton, Buxton and Coltishall, where you can hop off and on to explore by foot. The popular seaside town of Cromer, 15 miles, has a beach, promenade gardens, pier, shops, cafés and restaurants. There are sandy beaches at Happisburgh, Mundesley and Bacton within 20 minutes’ drive. Felbrigg and Blickling Halls (National Trust), and Sheringham Park are all within a 30-minute drive. A must for families is BeWILDerwood at Horning, a tree top adventure woodland, 7 miles and Dinosaur Park at Weston Park, 19 miles. Beach 8 miles. Pub 1 mile, shop 5 miles and restaurant 4 miles.

Lambourne House is set in very spacious 4½ acres of landscaped gardens in the Lincolnshire countryside, which are shared with four other adjoining holiday cottages. Just 10 minutes’ drive from Skegness are the long white sands of the east coast. There is plenty to see and do in and around the area. Less than a mile away is a good pub for families, which serves both food and drink. The closest beach for lazy summer walks, building sandcastles, sunbathing or indulging in bracing winter wanderings, is 10 minutes away by road, and the nearest golf course, North Shore, is the same distance away. Keen fishermen will enjoy the coarse fishing lakes just 300 yards away.
The town of Skegness has all the facilities you would expect of an established seaside town and modern commercial centre - shops, bars, pubs, restaurants, cafés, cinema, theatre, fun fair, seaside amusements, park, aquarium, sports and fishing facilities, as well as a hospital and excellent road and rail links. Beach 2 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

Perfect for a large family gathering or celebration, Oswald House offers spacious and stylish accommodation for a splendid holiday. This region inspired Dylan Thomas to write some of his finest poetry. It is framed by the Cambrian Mountains, known as the backbone of Wales, and is so rich in wildlife, legends and fascinating landscapes. Look out for birds of prey such as red kites and buzzards soaring high above, and dolphins or seals in the waters. Drive along the Plynlimon Mountains, through the Tywi Forest or visit the impressive Abergwesyn Pass, and marvel at the solitude.

For a truly authentic Welsh family holiday experience, this is the area to be. The locals are justifiably proud of this region with its rich local folklore which tells of tricking the devil, mermaids, shipwrecked kings and princesses, and even an explanation of why gulls sound as if they’re crying. The little gems of Georgian Aberaeron, historic Cardigan, salty New Quay, traditional Tregaron and Lampeter are waiting to be explored. To the south, the coves of Mwnt, Cwmtydu, Penbryn, Tresaith – which resemble illustrations from books about pirates, are all within easy reach. To the north, around Aberystwyth and Borth, there are vast stretches of sand. Food plays a big part in the experience of Ceredigion, and a wide choice is to be found in the shops, restaurants and cafés offering regional products and ingredients such as the world beating Teifi Valley cheeses, the ubiquitous Welsh cakes, bara brith and of course, some spectacularly good seafood from the coast.

No visit to the area would be complete without a ride on the steam railway. From the coast at Aberystwyth, watch the scenery change whilst travelling through ancient woodland and rugged mountain scenery, with the line clinging to the hillside to reach Devil’s Bridge, home of the famous Mynach Falls and Devil’s Punchbowl. There is a huge amount to do on the Lizard, from exploring the little fishing villages, Porthallow, Cadgwith or Coverack and sampling the local wealth of pubs and restaurants. Glorious clifftop walks, such as The Lizard itself, stunning sandy beaches like Coverack, Kennack Sands, Kynance Cove (which should be experienced), Poldhu or Loe Bar, which stretches from Gunwalloe all the way to Porthleven, tourist locations like Flambards, Poldark Mine or Goonhilly. The Helford River is beautiful and is surrounded by five little creeks, the most famous being Frenchman’s Creek, the eponymous title by Daphne Du Maurier based on the love affair between an impulsive English lady and a French pirate.
There are some breath-taking coastal walks, which really should include a trip around the Lizard Lighthouse, Britain’s most southerly point, on a clear, windy day there cannot be many more dramatic places in the country, the Lizard point is famous for shipwrecks and from May to October the Cornish coast is carpeted with a variety of colourful wildflowers. At the heart of the Lizard stands a 13th-century church, famous for its ornate woodwork decorating the end of each pew and depicting scenes from the Old and New Testament. Kynance Cove is a tidal beach for the adventurous, famous for its white sand, turquoise sea and rock stacks. Poldhu Cove, also known as Black Pool Cove, is a lovely west-facing sandy beach suitable for lots of fun activities, from building sandcastles to beach volleyball and rocks to explore at low tide and great for swimming, surfing and windsurfing. Beach 4 miles.

This stylish two-storey semi-detached converted barn is in Dyffryn Ardudwy near Barmouth. Only 2-minutes drive from the beach, it is beautifully appointed and tastefully decorated offering the perfect retreat for couples looking to explore this beautiful part of North Wales. Relax on the sumptuous L-shaped leather sofa facing onto a Freeview TV with windows facing out towards the flowerbeds and the fields beyond. There are walks from the door and the amazing sandy beach at Morfa Dyffryn offers lovely coastal walks. You can visit Harlech with its impressive landmark Edward I castle (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) which towers over the town, or explore the seaside town of Barmouth – and why not hire a bike to explore the Mawddach Trail which runs over Barmouth Bridge and along the route of the old railway line along the estuary to Dolgellau? Barmouth is situated on the Mawddach Estuary and boasts lovely sandy beaches making this ideal for relaxing walks along the coast, cycling along the Mawddach Trail or discovering many sights and attractions. Castles can be found all over the area at Bala, Caenarfon and Harlech. If you like to get out in the fresh air, this is great walking country, why not tackle the peak of Cadair Idris? The Old Roundhouse is a unique escape in sumptuous accommodation, the perfect holiday retreat in genuine peace and tranquillity. Ideas about what to do on holiday include experiencing wild Dartmoor and enjoying Devon ice cream in Paignton. Or take a birdwatching trip from the harbour. You can do nothing or everything from your holiday base at Newbarn Farm which is situated on the south coast of Devon. It is in an ideal location for fishing with well-stocked, tranquil lakes easily accessible. The county promises to leave a lasting impression, and with breathtaking scenery; it is the perfect place to introduce the family to carp and specimen fishing. There are a number of lakes at the property and payment is available per day, or you can get a 24 hour ticket to go night fishing. Walkers and hikers can also enjoy the wild and rocky coastline, which is ideal for birdwatchers, dog walkers, or just to enjoy some peace and quiet. South Devon has much to offer including Paignton with its steam railway, which will take you to Dartmouth. The award-winning Paignton Zoo makes a great day out for the whole family, and there are sandy beaches at Goodrington and Paignton. Take a trip to Brixham and nearby Dartmouth to see the castle and take a boat trip around the bay. Torquay has a theatre with many shows, the Living Coasts (a coastal zoo) is ideal for a family day out, and there are also many NT properties close by including Agatha Christie’s summer home Greenway. Ty Canol (ref UKC4208) has wheelchair access, a ground floor wetroom and two ground floor bedrooms, making it the ideal choice for those with less mobility. There are three further bedrooms on the first floor along with a bathroom. Most of the bedrooms feature their own Smart TV with Netflix, and outside is a large private garden and hot tub, so you are well catered for here.

With breathtaking views over Cardigan Bay, the properties are located just 100 yards from the cliff top. Gwbert-on-Sea is a small, quiet hamlet on the shore of the mouth of the Teifi Estuary, just a couple of miles outside Cardigan. The settlement takes its name from the wandering St Gwbert, said to have landed here and taken shelter in a cave. The shoreline is marked by rugged cliffs and small shingle bays, with large stretches of sandbank exposed at low tide, and the area gives superb views over a diverse and scenic landscape. The ancient oak woodland of the Teifi Valley, the tidal marshes of the estuary, and the boundary of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park can all be appreciated from here.

The 18-hole golf course at Cardigan Golf Club also offers fine views of the estuary and sea, and from the headland you can look across to Cardigan Island. The mud and sand flats of the estuary attract a great variety of birds, and in the autumn waders such as the redshank, oystercatcher and curlew can be seen feeding here, along with several species of migrating duck. The headland of Craig y Gwbert is the site of an Iron Age Fort, with pieces of pottery found near Gwbert, now on display in Cardigan museum. All the outside areas are covered by CCTV. Beach 7 miles.
