Set on a working stud farm amidst picturesque countryside in the East Riding of Yorkshire, Farriers Lodge is a horse lovers dream and has been sympathetically renovated to reflect the heritage of the area. This extends to the exterior render being made the old fashioned way using hemp grown in fields surrounding the cottage. Farriers Lodge is a delightful detached barn conversion set on a working horse stud farm in open countryside, just outside the village of Brandesburton. It provides the perfect base for exploring not only the stunning Yorkshire Wolds and east coast, but also the vibrant towns of Beverley and Driffield.
Bright and welcoming, this dog friendly property has an open plan living space with a large fireplace complete with wood burner and deep sofas. The kitchen and dining area provides all the mod cons to enable the chef in the group to cook delicious home-made fayre throughout the holiday. The central staircase is flooded with natural light from the overhead Velux window and leads to the first floor, where you will find two well-appointed, cosy bedrooms. Both rooms are lovingly furnished with vaulted ceilings. The cottage is tastefully decorated throughout and oozes traditional Yorkshire charm and character. Outside, the small courtyard has seating and enjoys the sun for the majority of the day. It also boasts a private hot tub, the perfect place to relax and enjoy your favorite holiday tipple. As a working stud farm, the owners offer the opportunity to look around and see some of their world class stallions, mares and foals (this can be arranged on arrival). For those with their own horses, stabling is available so your four legged friend can also enjoy a holiday (charges and additional T&Cs apply).
Fraisthorpe Beach is perfect for dog walking and horse riding and is popular with locals for exercising horses all year round. The village of Brandesburton is home to a couple of pubs offering traditional ales and bar meals, alongside a number of shops and restaurants. A short drive brings you to the pretty Wolds town of Beverley offering a host of independent shops, cafés and restaurants. A day at Beverley Races or a round of golf at one of the many local golf courses are sure to keep everyone entertained. The seaside town of Hornsea is on the doorstep and with pony rides, ice-cream and fish and chips is a lovely unspoilt family destination. There is so much to do and see in the surrounding area including the RSPB reserve at Bempton Cliffs and the Nature Reserve at Sprun Point. Beach 6 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 3 miles.

Lambourne House is set in very spacious 4½ acres of landscaped gardens in the Lincolnshire countryside, which are shared with four other adjoining holiday cottages. Just 10 minutes’ drive from Skegness are the long white sands of the east coast. Ashtree Court offers a haven for perfect private family holidays, with all the fun of the traditional seaside resort of Skegness close by.
Lambourne House has everything needed to relax and enjoy a traditional family holiday, with five double bedrooms, expansive living rooms, a beautiful inglenook fireplace and all the luxury facilities you would expect from a house of this size, including a gym. The mature garden, with its play areas and barbecues, provides a wonderful place for family fun, and the heated indoor swimming pool ensures entertainment all year round. Off road parking in designated areas right outside the farmhouse affords easy access for loading and unloading luggage and shopping.
There is plenty to see and do in and around the area. Less than a mile away is a good pub for families, which serves both food and drink. The closest beach for lazy summer walks, building sandcastles, sunbathing or indulging in bracing winter wanderings, is 10 minutes away by road, and the nearest golf course, North Shore, is the same distance away. Keen fishermen will enjoy the coarse fishing lakes just 300 yards away.
The town of Skegness has all the facilities you would expect of an established seaside town and modern commercial centre - shops, bars, pubs, restaurants, cafés, cinema, theatre, fun fair, seaside amusements, park, aquarium, sports and fishing facilities, as well as a hospital and excellent road and rail links. Beach 2 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

Corton lies just north of Lowestoft, the most easterly point of the UK. Beachwood is set amongst a secluded woodland setting and has frontline sea views. It is also considered to be the one with the most private, quiet and secluded settings. The photographs of the interiors speak for themselves. The kitchen is well equipped according to our many extremely satisfied guests to date. Tea coffee and milk is provided so guests don’t arrive late and find they can’t make a hot drink. The huge decking stretches to the cliff edge with views onto the award-winning beach. Stunning sunrises each morning which, should you so wish, can be watched while you relax in the hot tub! At night it lights up via a button. String lights have now been installed which are on a timer, which creates a wonderful evening ambience. The beach is never busy which makes for relaxing walks in both summer and winter and is accessed via a lovely short walk through the woods. It is also a dog friendly beach year-round. There are no shops or plastic swings and slides at Ocean Glade. It is very peaceful, and the grounds are beautifully maintained. There is a pub a 10-minute walk into the centre of the village which serves food, plus a small shop which also sells newspapers and a Chinese takeaway that only takes cash. There is a shopping complex a few minutes’ drive away with plenty of free parking.
Beachwood is ideally located to explore both Suffolk and Norfolk. Visit the Norfolk Broads National Park, with its southern gateway, Oulton Broad, just a short drive away, with good restaurants and a wine bar. Lowestoft is an old-fashioned traditional town offering shopping, beaches, two piers with family entertainment and restaurants. The popular town of Southwold is about a 35-minute drive away. There is so much to do and see in the area and you would be advised to google your preferences for details etc. Far too much to write here!

The golden sandy beach at Barmston is just a mile away and the local village put is a great place to meet the locals. Bridlington, Filey and Hornsea are along the coast. All three offer a plethora of tea rooms, restaurants and convenience stores. With promenades, arcades and a working harbour there is plenty to do. The stately homes of Sledmere House, Burton Agnes Hall and Sewerby Hall are waiting to be explored. Enjoy a day watching the wildlife spectacle at RSPB Bempton Cliffs or enjoy the tranquility of the Spurn Point Nature Reserve. The Flamborough Heritage Coastline and Yorkshire Wolds offer miles of walking and cycling opportunities. There is even a choice of golf course should you fancy a quick round! Two miles from Llangrannog’s sandy beaches, on the cleanest coast in Britain, this comfortable traditionally furnished farmhouse is set in its own gardens surrounded by unspoilt pastureland. Llangrannog offers a small slipway, a village shop, cafes and a pub/restaurant, along with a dry ski slope, whilst the popular harbour town of New Quay has sailing and fishing trips.
The market town of Cardigan has an indoor swimming pool, a sports centre, a skateboard park, art galleries and a theatre/cinema complex. There are two coastal golf courses nearby. The Crown Inn (2 miles) is a noted country traditional pub serving good food and the Harbourmaster in Aberaeron (10 miles) offers award-winning cuisine. Beach 2¾ miles. Pub and restaurant 3¾ miles.

Here you’re really in the heart of all North Wales has to offer, with lakes, coastal paths, Snowdonia and popular tourist towns all within easy reach. Dinas Dinlle beach is in walking distance from the lodge, with wonderful views across the bay to the Llyn Peninsula and Anglesey. Caernarfon Castle, an imposing UNESCO World Heritage site, is under 8 miles and where Prince Charles took his investiture. Venture just a little further and you have Pwllheli, Criccieth and Porthmadog, home to the Welsh Highland Railway. There’s something for all ages in this diverse region and it would certainly be a break to remember. Beach ½ mile.

Locally, there are nature reserves for bird and seal watching as well as opportunities for horse riding and cycling on quiet country lanes. Lincoln’s lovely medieval streets and designer shops, and the vintage emporiums of charming market towns in the Wolds are also easily accessible. Golf 5 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

Ty Canol (ref UKC4208) has wheelchair access, a ground floor wetroom and two ground floor bedrooms, making it the ideal choice for those with less mobility. There are three further bedrooms on the first floor along with a bathroom. Most of the bedrooms feature their own Smart TV with Netflix, and outside is a large private garden and hot tub, so you are well catered for here.

With breathtaking views over Cardigan Bay, the properties are located just 100 yards from the cliff top. Gwbert-on-Sea is a small, quiet hamlet on the shore of the mouth of the Teifi Estuary, just a couple of miles outside Cardigan. The settlement takes its name from the wandering St Gwbert, said to have landed here and taken shelter in a cave. The shoreline is marked by rugged cliffs and small shingle bays, with large stretches of sandbank exposed at low tide, and the area gives superb views over a diverse and scenic landscape. The ancient oak woodland of the Teifi Valley, the tidal marshes of the estuary, and the boundary of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park can all be appreciated from here.

The 18-hole golf course at Cardigan Golf Club also offers fine views of the estuary and sea, and from the headland you can look across to Cardigan Island. The mud and sand flats of the estuary attract a great variety of birds, and in the autumn waders such as the redshank, oystercatcher and curlew can be seen feeding here, along with several species of migrating duck. The headland of Craig y Gwbert is the site of an Iron Age Fort, with pieces of pottery found near Gwbert, now on display in Cardigan museum. All the outside areas are covered by CCTV. Beach 7 miles. Hornsea offers a long sandy beach with a pretty promenade, traditional amusement arcades and a plethora of fish and chip shops and ice cream parlours. Just a short drive is Hornsea Mere, a large, natural lake which provides water sport activities, fishing and bird watching opportunities. The stunning chalk cliffs at Bempton RSPB reserve, home to colonies of sea birds is a bird watchers delight. The unspoilt rolling countryside of the Yorkshire Wolds are a short drive away and provide miles of footpaths and bridleways to explore. The first of the bedrooms is located on the ground floor with a kingsize zip and link bed which can be split into 2ft6 single beds on request at the time of booking. Branscombe boasts a beautiful pebbly beach which is a natural sun trap, and a beautiful coastal path on the Jurassic Coast, just waiting to be explored. The one hour cliffside walk from Branscombe to the quintessential fishing village of Beer is a particular highlight with breathtaking scenery and ocean views. You can explore Heritage coast footpaths from Branscombe and Sidmouth in one direction and Lyme Regis and Seaton in the other. Enjoy freshly caught fish and chips and an ice cream whilst searching for fossils along the Jurassic Coast. The Regency seaside town of Sidmouth is just three miles away where you’ll find a great range of attractions and activities, including a visit to the Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary. For the little ones, the World of Country Life, Crealy Adventure Park, Beer Quarry Caves, Bicton Gardens and Pecorama are all within a short drive.
