Off road parking in designated areas right outside the farmhouse affords easy access for loading and unloading luggage and shopping.
There is plenty to see and do in and around the area. Less than a mile away is a good pub for families, which serves both food and drink. The closest beach for lazy summer walks, building sandcastles, sunbathing or indulging in bracing winter wanderings, is 10 minutes away by road, and the nearest golf course, North Shore, is the same distance away. Keen fishermen will enjoy the coarse fishing lakes just 300 yards away.
The town of Skegness has all the facilities you would expect of an established seaside town and modern commercial centre - shops, bars, pubs, restaurants, cafés, cinema, theatre, fun fair, seaside amusements, park, aquarium, sports and fishing facilities, as well as a hospital and excellent road and rail links. The village of Yetholm is a couple of miles away with pubs, a garage, a butcher, a grocery store and a post office. Kelso is only 7 miles away with supermarkets and a wide range of shops. Edinburgh and Alnwick with its famous gardens are about an hour’s drive. Shop, pub and restaurant 2½ miles.

A welcome hamper will be waiting for you on arrival with fresh milk, butter, eggs, homemade bread and local produce (extra supplies and/or dietary alternatives available on request). All produce is locally sourced where possible and you are welcome to seasonal fruit or vegetables from the main garden.
Friendly, sociable adult dogs (over 12 months old) are welcome on holiday too but NOT left alone unless totally happy/settled in and agreed with owner in advance, while making use of the pool. They have their very own pet hamper with a microfibre mattress, towels, natural shampoo, toys, treats and pet ID tag.
There are further gardens, walking paddocks and a central outside hot and cold water hose for muddy dogs, boots or bikes. The owners, who live on-site along with their dogs and animals, are available should you need any help. You are welcome to join them for a walk or cycle to the nearby St Catherine’s Oratory or ‘Pepperpot’, as its known locally, with many options to venture further afield should you wish.
Outdoor pursuits on the island are well catered for and include horse riding, fishing, cycling, paragliding, water sports and golf. There are numerous attractions to discover for all ages. Pay a visit to Queen Victoria’s favourite holiday residence, Osborne House and its gardens, Blackgang Chine, the oldest themed attraction in the UK, the famous Needles, Ventnor Botanical Gardens, Tapnell Farm Park, Carisbrooke Castle or the sailing towns of Yarmouth and Cowes. Take a trip to Llanstephan and enjoy afternoon tea in the mansion house or walk on the sandy beach and then visit the castle. Only 15 minutes away is Laugharne, home of Dylan Thomas, again with a beautiful sandy beach and castle with a tearoom. There is also Pembrey Country Park or Heatherton and Oakwood theme parks to visit or for younger guests (and parents!) visit Folly Farm with lambs, all things fluffy and even tigers and giraffes. It is situated in an ideal location to explore the excellent sandy beach of the North Norfolk Coast and the Norfolk Broads, which are both within a 30-minute drive. Cromer and Sheringham, also have glorious sandy beaches and are host to many attractions, perfect for everyone. Cromer boasts a pier, with a carnival week which is held in August and, weather permitting, a spectacular New Year’s Day celebration, complete with fireworks.
Places of historical interest and stately homes can be found within easy driving distance, and Blickling Hall boast open air concerts during the summer season.
