Converted from former farm buildings, these four holiday properties (two of which have been adapted for the disabled with shower chairs available), are in the Southdowns National Park. Properties 17320 and 17321 command fine views over the surrounding countryside. 17320 also has a worktop which has been lowered for wheelchair access to the sink in the kitchen. Situated in the grounds of the family farm (non-working), they are only 100 yards from the village of Compton with village shop and tea room with free wi-fi access. Enjoy peaceful walks along a bridle path leading to the South Downs Way, 2 miles designated as a National Park. The historic cathedral town of Chichester lies 10 miles away, with its cobbled streets adorned with tea rooms and restaurants, and the ornate cathedral. Scenic boat tours can be taken around the harbour. Goodwood and Fontwell races or polo at Cowdray are all within a short drive. Portsmouth, with shopping and leisure facilities, within easy reach. Hawking and falconry days can be arranged, prices on application and must be pre-booked direct with owner. Shop and pub 100 yards.

This delightful detached barn conversion enjoys a peaceful location overlooking fields and paddocks and has its own hot tub! What better way to relax after a day of walking along the South Downs or exploring the various sightseeing attractions, than to sit back in the warm bubbles and savour the lovely view. There is an enclosed patio garden with outside furniture, ideal for eating al fresco on warm balmy evenings. The Barn is situated adjacent to the owner’s home and has been carefully converted to allow for features such as a stable door, wooden beams and wood burner. The owners ensure guests comfort and have added many extras and homely touches. The first floor bedrooms have sloping ceilings and there is plenty of wardrobe space with additional storage on the landing.

There is so much to do in the area. Only 15 minutes’ drive away is historic Arundel with its magnificent castle, antique and book shops, eateries, cathedral, open air pool, wild fowl and wetlands. Slightly further is Chichester with Festival Theatre, boat tours, extensive shopping, Goodwood (Glorious Goodwood, Festival of Speed and Revival for motor racing) and Fontwell for a day at the races. Other race courses within easy reach include Brighton and Lingfield. Beaches within a 30 minute-drive include West Wittering, Worthing and the ever popular cosmopolitan city of Brighton, with its pier, Regency Royal Pavilion, theatres and art galleries.

There are many stately homes and gardens to discover too, some of which are National Trust, including Petworth House, Goodwood House and Gardens, Nymans, Glyndebourne, Sheffield Park and Borde Hill. Also within easy driving distance is Cowdray for polo. For bird lovers and wildlife, visit nearby RSPB Pulborough. There are various golf clubs all within easy reach, and horse riding too. This large cottage is a boutique home stay in its own unique right with nods towards its Art Deco roots alongside some cutting-edge design. Heading back inside there are three cavernous social spaces to gather with friends and family. The living room offers an abundance of comfortable armchairs and a vast corner sofa to recline after a busy day of beach fun. It is an evocative and unique experience to be curled up in front of the wood burner with the clouds rolling in over the sea and a storm blowing outside. Through interconnecting double doors, the dining room next door offers a fantastic entertaining space and behind the dining area is the second living room, fondly known as ’The Whisky Room’, an intimate spot for a night of board games and cards or a separate place for the kids to hang out with another large Smart TV. Through another set of doors, the huge kitchen is equipped with every conceivable gadget down to the built-in bean-to-cup coffee machine. Heading upstairs via the hall on the first floor are four of the five bedrooms and the family bathroom, the fifth bedroom is on the second floor.
With its shallow waters revealing a vast swathe of sand at low tide, Middleton has long been established as one of the prominent beach destinations on the south coast. Middleton is a low key seaside village offering some essential shops along with a couple of pubs and takeaways and a very good fish and chip shop. There are some lovely restaurants to discover nearby. If you want to explore the area a little further this is a fabulous coastline to stretch your legs east to Climping and Littlehampton’s West Beach or west to Bognor Regis Pagham and Pagham Harbour. This part of the coastline is a haven for unusual birds and wildlife with Pagham Harbour Nature Reserve and Chichester Harbour a little further to the west, both being Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Pagham Harbour is an internationally important site for nature conservation while Chichester Harbour also combines its wildlife attractions with sailing centres such as Itchenor and Bosham.

Just 6 miles north is Arundel, a historic market town dominated by its symbolic castle and the rising spire of the cathedral. It offers a plethora of craft and antique shops as well as restaurants and tea rooms. Arundel Castle is the seat of the Dukes of Norfolk and is set in 40 acres of sweeping grounds and gardens. The castle has been seasonally open to visitors for almost 200 years and is well worth a trip. All around this area the South Downs National Park offers a backdrop of stunning scenery and endless walking routes to explore.

For a family day trip head over to Butlins in Bognor Regis with its brand new indoor and outdoor waterpark Splashworld and a range of entertainment and rides to keep the kids and grown-up kids happy. For some classically British pastimes, there is the famous Goodwood Estate offers a range of activities including a championship golf course and the motor circuit racecourse and aerodrome. Morven View is an outstanding holiday property in the far north of Scotland. The Northern Highlands us a wild place, and Morven View has an aspect looking out over the interior towards the highest peak in Caithness.
Here you are just a couple of miles from Dunbeath village and only two miles from the coastline and a charming beach at Dunbeath Bay. Morven View offers the best of the Highlands, with mountains one way, dramatic coast the other. The owner can recommend some wonderful things to do in and around Dunbeath, as well as suggest brilliant itineraries around this fantastic part of Scotland. Morven View is excellently placed for a tour of the North Coast 500 northern section, situated close to two of the roads that cross the interior over to the north coast.
As well as having the characterful fishing villages of Lybster, Helmsdale and Brora close by, the town of Wick is not far away and John O’Groats a little further with dramatic Duncansby Head well worth a visit. The drive across to Cape Wrath is sublime, and the off-the-beaten road via Altnaharra or Kinbrace is a true Highland highlight.
Morven View is an excellent choice if you want to experience the less discovered Scottish Highlands, and have countless points of interest to enjoy. A family or group of friends are sure to love Morven View. Beach 3 miles. Shop 2¼ miles. Pub and restaurant 2½ miles.

A little further afield, Portsmouth is famous as the home of HMS Victory, HMS Warrior and the Mary Rose. The historic dockyard sits right next to Gunwharf Quays and the Spinnaker Tower, which offer spectacular views over Portsmouth and the Solent. Beach 13½ miles.
