Enjoying uninterrupted views of the award-winning Mawgan Porth beach, this fantastic beach house is surrounded by a third of an acre of beautifully kept gardens with a large, sea facing, sun trap decking area, overlooking gently sloping lawns and a pretty stream that trickles down to the sea below. Solar panels help heat the house and water while providing free electrical car charging for our guests’ electric vehicle.

Over the past year (2022), the house has been renovated to the highest standards by one of the country’s leading interior designers and offers plenty of living space all benefitting from exceptional sea views and floor to ceiling sliding doors leading to a large decking area. The large circular fireplace makes for cosy evenings during the Autumn and Winter months. The brand-new handmade kitchen is well supplied with all creature comforts from a juicer to a selection of coffee machines, including a Nespresso. A door leads into a separate TV room with a big corner sofa, both with fabulous sea views and door to the terrace. Three ground floor bedrooms, ome with chandelier, two with those stunning views. A beautiful glass and oak staircase leads from the entrance hall up to the first floor where you will find three more bedrooms; a double bedroom with en-suite shower room; a large twin bedroom with large en-suite shower room, and one with a TV and sofa bed which enjoys the best views of all.

The beach is just a 5-minute walk away from the garden gate. Off the drive, there is a lawned area and to the side of the house a heated outdoor shower for when you return from the beach. The equipment store has a range of children’s wetsuits and storage for boards. Once cleaned off, you can luxuriate in the state-of-the-art Aspen and Spruce spa with a sauna, experiential shower plus cold water bucket for the brave. Situated mid-way between Padstow and Newquay, Mawgan Porth offers you a beautiful west facing beach, stunning scenery, wondrous walks, superb surfing, an amazing variety of restaurants to suit everyone’s taste and pocket, including a cosy pub, seafood restaurant, cafés, and takeaways all within walking distance of Blue Seas. This wonderful detached cottage with wrap around private garden and hot tub is tucked away in peaceful countryside. Nestled near the village church within the very quaint, small and rural village of Norton Subcourse. It is within easy distance of the larger village of Loddon just a few minutes’ drive away and the pretty market town of Beccles, 14 minutes, with supermarkets, shops, cafés and regular market days.

Surrounded by open countryside, spectacular walks and excellent cycle routes can be enjoyed from the doorstep. The neighbouring village of Thurlton, ¾ miles, boasts a local shop and a friendly public house. The area has excellent road links providing easy access to both sandy beaches and the National Park Norfolk Broads for daily boat hire and river trips. Reedham Ferry, a chain linked ferry crossing, is just 2 miles away and takes you on a trip across the River Yare, with a pub serving good food awaiting on the opposite side, and miles more marshes and villages to explore.
Fishing is available along the River Yare (licence required). Enjoy a day trip to the medieval city of Norwich and explore its Norman castle, many museums, theatre and galleries. Two excellent indoor shopping malls, market square and an abundance of great places to eat and drink. Alternatively, explore the Norfolk Broads where you can join a tour or even charter your own day launch to explore the miles of waterways. Daily boat hire and river trips available at Loddon and Beccles. A 30-minute drive takes you to the traditional seaside resort of Great Yarmouth with its Golden Mile amusements, fun fair, waxworks, pitch and putt, Sea Life Centre and shopping centre. Suffolk coastline includes everything from traditional seaside resorts with good sandy beaches including Lowestoft, through to popular Southwold with its life boat museum, lighthouse, shops and pubs. Enjoy the thrills of Pleasurewood Hills American theme park, 12 miles away.
Relax and enjoy the tranquil grounds of Somerleyton Hall, 8 miles. Travel north to explore Cromer with its pier, working life boat centre, sandy beach and town centre. Blakeney Quay, historic Holt and the Royal Sandringham Estate are all within a 2 hour drive. For birdwatchers there are RSPB sites available locally. There are lots of amazing places to seek out which serve great seasonal and locally produced foods. The historical market towns of Diss, Loddon and Wymondham are well worth a visit, as is the unspoilt North Norfolk Coast, with its pretty coastal villages and glorious beaches. Alternatively, spend a day enjoying the famous Norfolk Broads. Children will love BeWILDerwood, the treetop adventure park. The Suffolk Heritage Coast and the popular seaside towns of Southwold and Lowestoft are less than 30 miles away. The historical city of Norwich is just 6 miles away, with its cathedrals, museums, theatre, excellent shopping and cosmopolitan cafés. Tucked away in the heart of the mid-Devon countryside lies Hazelnut Lodge. With views over surrounding fields to the countryside beyond, this is the perfect place to get away from it all and enjoy the peace and quiet. Located in the grounds of the owner’s smallholding, there is a private drive leading down to the property. Skirted by the private woods, there is a large garden and sitting-out area. The spacious open plan living space is complimented by an inviting bedroom with its super kingsize bed. Patio doors lead from the living area onto the patio giving further access to a decking area for dining al fresco. Hazelnut Lodge is a comfortable base from which to explore all that Devon has to offer. Exeter is easily reached, and has a wide variety of shops, restaurants and, of course, its historic cathedral. Dartmoor and Exmoor National Parks are accessible and provide walking for all abilities and stunning scenery. There are a number of National Trust properties in the area, most notably Castle Drogo and Arlington Court. Also within easy reach (20 miles) is Powderham Castle. This remarkable 14th century castle, set in a beautiful deer park on the banks of the River Exe, has been home to the same family since 1391. Visitors are encouraged to explore the picturesque gardens, discover the interior beauty of the castle and to take part in some of the events which are held throughout the year. The wonderful RHS gardens at Rosemoor and the Dartington Crystal Factory are worth a visit and both these attractions are based at Great Torrington. There is golf, fishing and horse riding available in the local area and cycle hire can be arranged on the Tarka Trail at various locations. Shop 3 miles, pub 1¼ miles and restaurant 5 miles.

Groves Cottage (ref 28101) and Devonia (ref 24595) are situated in the delightful village of Newchurch, these detached holiday homes offer ideal family accommodation, each peacefully located with an enclosed garden. They lie in the charming village of Newchurch, surrounded by countryside, an area of Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with plenty of walks and cycle and nature trails. Wildlife such as the famous red squirrel, various birds and other wildlife can be seen. Nearby is Amazon World Zoo Park, one of the top family attractions, and Robin Hill Adventure Park. Discover the Garlic Farm and Arreton Barns, or further afield is the picturesque Godshill with model village gift shop and tea rooms. Within a 5-minute drive, visit the popular tourist resort of Sandown, with seaside entertainment including amusements, Tiger Island Zoo, putting, crazy golf, pier leisure centre and waterside dining in one of the many restaurants and cafés. Shanklin is also within easy reach, with the magical Chine, and quaint thatched roofed tea rooms, houses and shops. There is so much to do on this sunny island, plenty of National Trust homes and gardens including Osborne House, Queen Victoria’s former holiday abode, Carisbrooke Mill, Lavender Farm, donkey sanctuary, glass making, dinosaur park and various museums. Many outdoor pursuits can be enjoyed on the island, including excellent scenic walks along miles of Heritage coastline, sailing, fishing, hang gliding, surfing, golf, cycling, riding and crabbing. A 10-minute walk over the owner’s fields and woods leads to Hartland village with shops, three pubs and a lovely coffee shop. Sandy Spekes beach is just over a mile walk. A fabulous, picturesque, hidden treasure, great for rockpooling and surfing. The owners have maintained many original features - exposed internal stone walls, beams and wonderful slate floors with underfloor heating throughout. Everything has been thought of to ensure an incredible holiday to please everyone. The cottages lie just minutes from the south coast including the fishing village of Mevagissey and the seafaring town of Fowey with its royal regatta and Du Maurier Festival (Daphne du Maurier made the town her home). Nearby are the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the amazing Eden Project. Visit Truro, the capital of Cornwall with its Gothic cathedral, surrounded by narrow streets and alleyways lined with shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. St Austell Bay, just minutes away, has a stunning coastline which has pretty coastal towns and villages dotted along its edge. Charlestown is home to a collection of tall sailing ships, an historic harbour and Georgian architecture, all of which have been used as film and TV sets over many years. Porthpean has a lovely unspoilt beach, golf club and views across the bay. Visit Pentewan with picturesque cycle and walking trail along a river and through a 450-year-old woodland. Conveniently located close to the spectacular Millennium Coastal Path, guests can explore the scenic Pembrey Country Park with eight miles of golden sands at Cefn Sidan, Pembrey must be the only place in Europe where visitors can sunbathe, swim and hunt for shipwrecks on the beaches, then experience the thrill of a toboggan run or race down the parks 130m dry ski slope. Enjoy a round of golf at the famous Jack Nicklaus course, Llanelli, or the Ashburnam links course, Pembrey. Watch live sport at the Llanelli Scarlet’s Rugby Stadium and nearby Ffos Las Racecourse.
