Nestled in the rolling Pembrokeshire countryside, this semi-detached cottage is conveniently located in Stepaside, a quaint hamlet, just a short walk from the coastal village of Wisemans Bridge where you can enjoy a stroll on the beach, and some home cooking and a local ale in the inn. To relax those aching muscles after a busy day sightseeing, you can retire to your very own private hot tub with unobstructed sea views over Saundersfoot Bay, Monkstone Point and Caldey Island watching the sun drop on those balmy summer days and observing the many stars overhead.

Just 2 miles from South Steading, is the pretty seaside town of West Kilbride with fantastic views across the water to Arran and surrounding islands. Ayrshire is famous worldwide for golf and offers world class championship courses at Turnberry, Royal Troon and Prestwick. The West Kilbride Golf Club offers a championship links course located in Seamill, 3 miles from the farm.
Largs and Ardrossan are popular seaside towns, 8 miles and 7 miles away respectively, where there are watersports offered. Sandy beaches in Seamill. The Firth of Clyde has excellent sailing with yachting clubs and marinas at Ardrossan,Largs, Inverkip and Troon. There are also good opportunities for hill walking and mountain biking, field sports including horse riding, shooting and fishing. Visitors will enjoy visiting the historic castles at Portencross, Hunterston and Law Castle and enjoy the views from the local Tarbert Hill and Law Hill.
Ferries from Ardrossan a short distance from the barn take you to isle of Arran and short ferry hop from Largs to the small island of Cumbrae to visit the only town on the island, Millport for an icecream or enjoy a cycle, 11miles around the whole island.

Situated on a working farm, The Barn has been converted out of the old part of the farm steading and refurbished in 2018. Nestled in the Girthon Valley and surrounded by some of the best scenery in Galloway, with great walks, both woodland and coastal. Galloway has 200 miles of beautiful coastline, wild mountains and moorland, pretty towns and charming villages. The area also offers a wide range of activities for the whole family to enjoy, be it visiting the local ice cream factory, Cream O’ Galloway at Sandgreen, CocoaBean Chocolate Factory at Twynholm or why not visit Laggan Outdoors, which has one of the longest zip wires in Europe. There are many exciting and beautiful cycle paths straight from your door or try the world famous 7Stanes challenge. There is an abundance of local lochs and rivers if fishing is preferred! Set on the fringes of Aviemore village, a wonderful location for enjoying the great outdoors in the heart of the Cairngorm National Park, these superbly appointed and beautifully furnished properties offer a very high degree of comfort. Nestling in the pretty Norfolk countryside close to the heart of the Norfolk Broads, Willow Barn (ref CZB) and single-storey Beech Barn (ref CZU) and Alderfen Barn (ref UK30458) are detached holiday properties dating back to the 1700s, situated in the grounds of the owner’s home. Providing a perfect retreat for discerning larger family groups, these converted barns offer spacious and comfortable accommodation boasting beamed interiors, wood-burning stoves and enclosed separate gardens with private hot tubs, and for a special meal or family celebration gourmet meals can be arranged with the owner.

Beech Farm Barns are ideally located for all the family and for nature lovers there is an abundance of bird life. Within walking distance is Alderfen Broad, which is situated in The Broads National Park, a bird watcher’s delight. For the children there is BeWILDerwood Adventure Park with its treehouses, zip wires, jungle bridges and boat trips, which all combined makes a great day out. Nearby is the attractive Broads village of Horning with its selection of tea shops, restaurants and pubs. A day boat can be hired directly from the owner, or book a trip on the Mississippi steamer. The sandy beaches of the North Norfolk Coast are only 10 miles away. Alternatively spend a day in the fine city of Norwich with its magnificent cathedrals, castle, museums, theatres, market and vast array of cafes and shops. There is a wealth of National Trust properties to visit in the area which include Felbrigg Hall, Garden and Park (one of the finest 17th-century country Jacobean houses in East Anglia), Blickling Hall (a magnificent house with woodlands and lakeside walks) and Sheringham Park (beautifully landscaped and renowned for its spectacular displays of azaleas and rhododendrons in late spring). Directly opposite the property lies a small fishing pond, and a children’s play area can also be found on-site too. There are plenty of animals on-site too including three donkeys, three goats, and when in season baby lambs and grazing cattle. If you can bear to tear yourself away from the site, you will find much to do and explore in the local area including the stunning North Norfolk Coastline. In just under half an hour, you can be in beautiful Wells-next-the-Sea, with a narrow gauge railway leading down to its wide sandy beach, boasting painted beach huts and a lovely mix of traditional and artisan seaside shops, cafés and restaurants. Alternatively, head to Blakeney Quay and enjoy a spot of crabbing, or head east to Cromer with its famous pier, Edwardian seafront and Amazonia Zoo.
Nature lovers will enjoy trips to Pensthorpe, Sheringham Park, Cley Marshes and indeed the famous Norfolk Broads. History buffs will enjoy exploring Blickling Hall, the Sandringham and Holkham Estates, the North Norfolk Railway, the Thursford and Muckleburgh Collections and a host of small museums. Do make time for a visit to the Hanseatic Quarter of Old Kings Lynn too, and don’t forget Norwich with its award-winning market, collection of boutique shopping, eateries, a splendid Norman castle and a host of museums, galleries and theatres too. Stroll into the coastal hamlet of Amroth and discover the local seafront pubs specialising in fresh, line caught fish and locally sourced produce, and not forgetting some locally brewed ales. There is also an array of cafés, stunning sandy beach, ideal for children to play and build sand castles, and water sports with kayaking, sailing and surfing all on your doorstep. Locally there are a host of walks to discover including the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park footpath, which covers 186 miles of iconic Welsh coastline.
Be sure to explore the 9 acres of grounds around the cottage which include lots of grassed areas for playing ball games and wildlife to keep an eye out for. Locally, the National Trust managed Colby Woodland gardens really is worth a visit. Wander through the vast gardens within the hidden valley, take in the flora and fauna and uncover the secret garden, but be sure to keep an eye out for the array of wildlife.
