Built in 1791, it stands in a superb coastal location adjoining Happisburgh’s working lighthouse and within a short drive of the Norfolk Broads. The lighthouse is open to the public on some Sundays in high season, when visitors can enjoy the fantastic view from the top. Private tours can be arranged at a cost with the trust. The Cider Barn is decorated and furnished to a very high standard by the owners who have years of experience in the hospitality industry, and the attention to detail is evident in every room.
Downstairs is a fabulous open plan living space, with wonderful Bi-folding doors that open to allow the outside in and giving you great views over the Blackdown hills. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need and the island unit opens it up to the rest of the room, so you can socialise while creating your next culinary masterpiece! The large Master bedroom on the ground floor has a stunning four-poster bed and en-suite bathroom with roll-top bath and separate shower, while upstairs the second large bedroom features a wonderful kingsize bespoke bed, beautiful beamed vaulted ceiling and statement lighting. There is also a shower room upstairs with walk-in shower.
Outside you will find a Mediterranean style covered seating area complete with its own chandelier, barbecue area and private hot tub, all soaking up the wonderful views!
Set in the lovely village of Bishopswood, with the Somerset Wildlife Trust running adjacent to the property, you are only 5-minutes’ walk from the local pub and surrounded by miles of beautiful walks. The market town of Honiton is just 10 miles away and the beach at Lyme Regis can be reached within a 30-minute drive. Heading north, you will find the county town of Taunton with lots of restaurants, cinema, bowling and shopping, and within an hour’s drive you will find Glastonbury, Street, Minehead and the moors of Exmoor! This spacious, detached bungalow, accessed by a farm track, is a great size for those larger families, with a large kitchen/dining room, living room and conservatory. Nestled in the countryside just outside Howey, this property, set on a working farm, and is great for those wanting to explore the local area. The garden overlooks the fields of sheep, fabulous in the spring time as all the lambs will be jumping around the fields. The garden is enclosed, perfect for those wanting to bring their four legged friends (please note dogs must be on a lead at all times when walking across the land due to the livestock). There are footpaths running through the farm for guests to explore.
The property is just 3 miles from Llandrindod Wells and Builth Wells, home to the Royal Welsh Showground which hosts many events throughout the year. Visit the lakes in Llandrindod Wells, walk around the park and enjoy the scenery. For those with children, Quackers Play Centre is only a couple of miles from the property, whilst the the National Cycle Museum in Llandrindod Wells is well worth a visit. For those wanting to go further afield, then the Elan Valley is approximately 10 miles away, where there are plenty of walks/cycle trails to explore, along with fabulous dams. There are golf courses in Llandrindod Wells and Builth Wells and horse riding is available within 10 miles from the villa. Set in the most northerly town in Wales, on Anglesey, Eryl Mor is a spacious lodge done to a very good standard, this really is a home from home lodge with everything you’ll need and more. Inside is a spacious open plan living/dining room, a great social spot to sit and relax and chat about your day. The fully equipped kitchen has a separate utility area and breakfast bar, which flows effortlessly into the living/dining area, a fabulous entertaining space for everyone to enjoy. The bedrooms have been tastefully decorated with your comfort in mind, including hotel grade bedding for extra comfort, the master bedroom with en-suite shower room is sure to be a favourite. The main bathroom with roll-top bath is a splendid space to take a soak after a day of adventures and sightseeing. There’s ample decking space with separate seating area with a cosy summer house to snuggle up in, your four-legged friends are also catered for with plenty of enclosed space for them to have a run about in.

A few minutes walk from the lodge and you’ll meet one of Anglesey’s many coastal paths, no matter the weather the scenery is breath taking. There are many beaches within easy reach The Creek, a small cove in Bull Bay is less than a mile away, Lligwy beach less than 7 miles, Bychan Beach 8 miles, Cemaes Bay 5 miles to name a few! Parys Mountain one of the largest copper mines in the world, a must see location a few minutes away. Take a stroll around the network of paths and marvel at the spectacular copper colours surrounding the area. Amlwch harbour dates back to the Middle Ages once a bustling port is only one mile away; in Amlwch you’ll also find places to eat and local shops and pub. Maybe venture a little further and take a drive to Beaumaris home to a UNESCO World Heritage site, Beaumaris Castle, famously known as the castle that was never built! There’s water sports a plenty, boat trips and so much more to be enjoyed on this diverse island. Beach 1 mile. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

Just a short stroll to the river bank, these splendid cottages all have an enclosed garden with patio and hot tub, and offer lovely walks along the river bank and good cycle routes straight from the door. Salters Cottage (ref E5045), Chestnut Cottage (ref E5626) and Granary Cottage (ref E5626) are two-storey terraced cottages, and Field View (ref UKC2304) is a detached, single-storey barn conversion. Internally, these properties have been superbly converted and beautifully furnished and decorated.
Set close to the River Steeping, at the edge of the owners’ 80-acre arable farm, which guests are free to explore, there is the bonus of free river fishing within the grounds (license required). On the fringe of Wainfleet All Saints, and within a short walk, is a famous brewery which offers tours, an on-site pub and a bistro, these properties are perfect for exploring the area. Wainfleet All Saints is a quaint market town with an array of shops, pubs, restaurant and a railway station. The traditional seaside resort of Skegness is just 5 miles away, and has a lovely sandy beach and family entertainment, including the Fantasy Island theme park. The National Trust properties of Gunby Hall and Tattershall Castle are within easy driving distance. Visit bird and seal sanctuaries along the coast, or take a trip to medieval Lincoln, with its famous castle and cathedral, just 40 miles away, across the scenic, rolling Lincolnshire Wolds countryside. This delightful cottage can be found on the edge of the Peak District in the picturesque village of Cutthorpe, down a private country lane on the owner’s non-working farm of 2 acres. Green Farm is surrounded by fields, woodland, footpaths and bridleways with direct access to the Linacre Reservoirs and Holmebrook Country Park. Tawny Owl Barn is a beautifully converted stone barn, situated over two floors, retaining many original features. The ground floor lays claim to a cosy living room complete with a warming wood burner, leather sofas, exposed stone walls and wooden beams. There is also a fully-equipped kitchen/dining room, a great social space with a large dining table so you can have a home cooked meal with all the family, as well as a single bedroom with an oak sliding barn door. Head upstairs where you will find two en-suite bedrooms with varnished, natural wooden floors, one with a double bed and one with twin beds. Double glazed and centrally heated throughout, this barn is perfect for families and groups all year round.
Outside, there is a fully enclosed private garden with a patio table and chairs, a barbeque and views over open countryside. There is a gate giving access to the fully enclosed hot tub (which is available all year for an additional charge, payable locally). This also includes the supply of additional towels and dressing gowns. We have a one acre paddock to exercise your dog in. Up to two well behaved dogs.
Cutthorpe has two pubs within walking distance that are dog friendly and serve food. It has a pretty village green and benefits from panoramic views over Chesterfield with its famous crooked spire. The village is located on the edge of the Peak District National Park, yet is only 3 miles from The popular market town of Chesterfield. Its perfect location allows you to explore historic houses, walking, cycling and visiting the tourist towns of Bakewell, Matlock, Castleton, Buxton, Eyam and Hathersage. If its stately homes, castles and gardens you would like to visit, the magnificent Chatsworth House is only 10 minutes drive away; the grounds and house will provide a full day out. Within 30 minutes you can also visit Packwood house, Bolsover castle, Renishaw hall, Haddon hall and Hardwick hall.

For those that are more active, there are numerous options varying from local walks from your door, to more adventurous walks in the Peak District. Cyclists are also well catered for with a variety of road and off road tracks and trails. Additionally there is shooting, canoeing, horse riding, go ape, abseiling, climbing, fishing and golf all available nearby. Alternatively you can just relax and enjoy the tranquillity that Green Farm offers. The nearest shop is 2 miles, café 1½ miles, post office, doctors are all available locally.

The extensive kitchen and dining area and comfortable living space is tied together by a duplex wood burner Whilst the open plan boast space, the thoughtful layout maintains a cosy, homely feel throughout. Patio doors from the living space open out to the panoramic patio area where you will find ample outdoor dining and seating facilities, a brick-built BBQ and luxury sunken hot tub!
There are two bedrooms to the ground floor, the first of which has excellent access, with doors out to a lawned patio area, an adjacent bathroom with bath and walk-in shower and flexible sleeping arrangements with a kingsize bed that can be split to two singles. The second ground floor bedroom is also flexible with a double bed to comfortably sleep two adults as well as a bespoke single bunk, this offers additional sleeping space for a child. The third bedroom is on the first floor of the barn and oozes luxury. The super kingsize bed shares stunning views of the countryside and boasts its own luxury en-suite shower room with a fully tiled walk-in shower.
Despite the rural setting, Y Gelli is perfectly placed to explore some of the nearby attractions. In under 30 minutes by car, you could be exploring the beach and country park at Pembrey, visiting picturesque Welsh towns along the River Towy like Carmarthen and Llandeilo, or immersing yourself in history at Kidwelly Castle! If that’s not enough, you can visit the world’s largest single-span glasshouse at the National Botanic Garden of Wales, tee-off at one of the nearby golf clubs, or check out some horse racing at Ffos Las Racecourse. Further afield, South Wales has so much to offer and Y Gelli is conveniently located to make the most of your stay in South Wales. Beach 8 miles.

On the edge of the village of Hogsthorpe, close to Chapel St Leonards and the beach, this detached bungalow enjoys open views from the conservatory across the fields where you can sit back and relax. There is plenty to see and do for all the family in the area, with the North Sea Observatory at Chapel St Leonards on the beach, which is well worth a visit. The traditional seaside resort of Skegness is just along the coast, as is Fantasy Island at Ingoldmells with its huge funfair and market. Gibraltar Point nature reserve is approximately a 30-minute drive away to the south of Skegness, and inland there are the market towns of Alford, Louth and Horncastle to explore. If you are bringing your dog on holiday there is an enclosed area to the rear, and the large kitchen/dining room provides a great space for all the family to be together at meal times. The shops and the village pub are about a mile walk or a very short drive away. Beach 2¾ miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

Downlands Farm is nestled in the heart of the beautiful Hampshire countryside with wonderful views across the peaceful valley. This rural haven is only 10 minutes from Petersfield, with fantastic road and rail connections for London and Portsmouth. These two holiday cottages Edward’s Cottage (ref UKC1818) and Louisa’s Cottage (ref UK11596) are set on a small working farm and just off a green-lane leading to miles of footpaths, bridleways and on and off-road cycling within the South Downs National Park. The cottages offer light and airy open plan living accommodation, and have ground floor bedrooms and a special ‘hideaway’ bedroom/playroom to accommodate children.
The barns have been converted from original agricultural buildings and have been sympathetically designed to blend with the surrounding countryside, while offering comfortable accommodation. For biking enthusiast there is a shared bike shed for bike storage and by arrangement, guests are welcome to bring their horses and make use of the Loddon stables. There are three local pubs within the vicinity, all within a half hour stroll or a 3-minute car journey away. The bustling market town of Petersfield is a 10-minute drive, and has a range of shops and restaurants, and along with the two local village shops; these provide all you need for stocking up on essential items. The cathedral cities of Chichester, Guildford, Portsmouth and Winchester are all 45 minutes away, and offer a range of shops and entertainment. The beautiful beach at West Wittering is an hour’s drive away, and this lovely location is ideal to visit, whatever the time of year, and is perfect for all ages. During low season (October to April), you can ride your horse at any time on the beach at West Wittering, and during the summer months you can ride before 9am and after 6pm.
Hayling Island has a children’s fun fair and a shingle beach, and is within half an hour from Downlands Farm. The cottages enjoy direct access to miles of scenic walking and cycling routes through the beautiful countryside and pretty villages such West Meon, where you can enjoy lunch at one of the pubs serving food, and where Thomas Lord rests, founder of Lords cricket. The market town of Petersfield has a range of restaurants and shops, and if you fancy a day trip to London, the local train service takes approximately one hour. There are several attractions in the area that are worth a visit, including Portsmouth with the Spinnaker Tower, HMS Warrior and Nelson’s HMS Victory, along with the historic Winchester Cathedral, King Arthurs Round Table, and Southampton with its extensive maritime history. For walking and riding the vast heathland of The New Forest National Park is ideal. For a cultural day out, try historic Chichester with its cathedral and festival theatre, and not forgetting the Watercress Steam Train, Jane Austen’s house, Gilbert White’s house, Marwell Zoo, Birdworld and the Queen Elizabeth Country Park which is the other side of the valley. Beach 15 miles. Shop 1 mile, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

Manor Court Cottages are set in the picturesque village of Shipton Gorge. Within walking distance, 110 yards, are the village playing fields and pub selling the famous Palmers Ales and local food. This a fantastic location to explore the Dorset countryside and World Heritage Jurassic coastline, 1½ miles away. Whether its a family holiday, walking, bird watching, fishing, cycling or for a quiet break Manor Court Cottages are ideal. The pretty village of Burton Bradstock, 1½ miles, has a beach with a café, shop, post office, garage and pubs. The market town of Bridport, 2 miles away, has a lively and vibrant street market Saturdays and Wednesday, along with small shops, cafés, antiques and local food can be found, or pop into the museum and learn its history of rope and net making.
The picturesque harbour of West Bay is 2 miles away and was made famous by the TV drama ’Broadchurch’, while the village of Abbotsbury, 3 miles away, is popular for its swannery, sub-tropical gardens and childrens farm. Spread along the coast from Sidmouth is a host of attractions, including the Donkey Sanctuary and Beer Caves at Seaton and Axminster where you can ride on the trams or eat at the River Cottage restaurant. Into Dorset try fishing in a boat out of the cobb at Lymm Regis, fossil hunting at the museum or a walk up Golden Cap for the breathtaking views. Weymouth with its sandy beaches and Sealife Centre is well worth a visit, discover the dinosaurs at the Dorchester museum or travel back in time with a visit to Thomas Hardy’s cottage, go to war at the Bevington Tank Museum, or say ’hi’ to the monkeys at Monkey World. Enjoy a dip at Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door for a sightseeing walk, explore Crofe Castle, and then all aboard the steam train at Swanage. Shops and pubs 1 mile.
