The main living space is an open plan living room with high ceilings, soft furniture, and a pleasing contemporary décor, where guests often tend to congregate in front of the Netflix-enabled Smart TV or peer out of folding doors onto the outdoor patio space. Like the kitchen, this space benefits from underfloor heating throughout. On the same level, the kitchen is kitted out with everything you need to prepare meals for the loved ones who you are sharing the house with, as well as a Smart TV and your own coffee machine, plus a dishwasher. The dining area is also integrated in this large open space, to enjoy meals, or a great spot to share a few beers and relax at the end of the day. On the same floor the cottage benefits from a double bedroom, with a double bed. There is also a wet room next door with underfloor heating. The remaining four bedrooms are located on the first floor, a double room with two single beds and Smart TV with the family bathroom next door and an ultra-lush slipper bathtub. The second bedroom being the master with king size bed, and en-suite featuring a walk-in rain shower. The remaining two bedrooms are doubles both with double beds, one with an en-suite shower room. All four bedrooms, benefit from tons of natural light giving an airy feel with fantastic views of the countryside. Outside a spacious lawn is great for romping around, plus a patio with garden furniture for enjoying a glass of wine, and a BBQ or simply watching the sun set over the distant hills.

Beach House, situated on Hampshire’s Hayling Island has two double bedrooms on the first floor, one with spectacular views and sounds of the ocean to enjoy. There is a third bedroom on the ground floor with a single bed. Making the most of the views, the owners have created a fantastic living space with bi-folding doors straight out of the living into the beach facing garden and a dining room with further ocean views- perfect spot for an evening meal.

Hayling Island is well known for its sailing activities, it is sheltered by the Isle of Wight, making it ideal for water sport activities. It is renowned for its windsurfing, kayaking, power boating, jet ski-ing, kitesurfing and wake boarding. Local paddle boating and windsurfing lessons are available close by. Every year there is a national windsurfing event, and a hive of sailing and nautical activity can be seen along the coastline. For those that want to join in, you will find two paddle boards and two long boards in the garage that can be used.

For those who enjoy walking and cycling why not visit the Hayling Billy Trail – an historical multi-use trail spanning the full west coast of the island and used to be the original route of the “Hayling Billy” train line. Two bikes are also available to use.

Many activities can be enjoyed locally for all ages, including a seaside railway and a small amusement park for the children. For the sports enthusiast, Seacourt is also worth a visit, with five racket sports including real tennis. Also, nearby activities including golf, horse riding, boat trips and scenic walks along the water’s edge or scenic walks along the South Downs National Park which are within easy reach. Chichester with its beautiful cathedral, festival theatre, pedestrianised shopping, leisure centre, Roman Villa and Goodwood or Fontwell races, it’s definitely worthy of a visit.

Visit Portsmouth with waterside dining, ferry trips to the Isle of Wight, designer outlets, Natural Museum, leisure facilities, Spinnaker Tower, HMS Victory, or the maritime history at Southampton. Winchester with its cathedral, abbey and The New Forest are within easy driving distance. Plenty of National Trust homes and gardens can also be discovered nearby.

The coastline with its beaches at Milford on Sea and Barton on Sea are close by, with Bournemouth and Poole within a short drive to enjoy popular activities such as windsurfing, boating and swimming. Explore the unspoilt countryside of Dorset or the famous World Heritage Jurassic Coast, from West Bay, Bridport and on to Weymouth, with its superb scenery and coastal walking. Beach 8 miles.

Wonderful features are close at hand, Stockbridge Marsh, which walkers can reach direct from the high street and Stockbridge Down, with its panoramic views across the valley, are both owned by the National Trust. Just up the hill towards Salisbury is one of the most famous Iron Age Hill Forts in England, Danebury.
The Sprat and Winkle Line, once a railway line linking Southampton and Andover is now part of the Test Way long distance footpath and runs through Stockbridge. Famed for its historic places and bustling streets, Winchester just a short 20-minute drive away and hosts an enchanting selection of majestic sites, traditional ale houses and highly acclaimed restaurants waiting to be explored. The charming high street offers quaint alleyways and cosy squares draped with independent gift shops and high street stores and home to a thriving food scene, Rick Stein, The Ivy, River Cottage, and Michelin starred restaurants can be found. Within easy driving distance of the New Forest National Park, Stonehenge, Mottisfont Abbey, Danebury Iron Age Hill Fort, Hinton Ampner, The Museum of Army Flying at Middle Wallop, Highclere Castle, Beaulieu Motor Museum, Buckler’s Hard, Winchester Science Centre and Planetarium, Wilton House, and Thruxton Circuit.
