Sweet Briar Cottage is situated in the small Village of Holford, a lovely picturesque village on the edge of the Quantocks, about 14 miles from Bridgwater. This semi-detached holiday cottage is in the perfect location for all year round breaks - having a woodburner in the living room makes it perfect for cosy evenings in. There are many walks from the cottage, and from the bridge, guests can see two streams converging, one of which has flowed from Holford Combe and the other from Hodders Combe. It was in this glen that the Huguenots settled and began their silk weaving factory. Holford Glen was also used during the filming of the film ’Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves’ starring Kevin Costner. The Quantock Hills (AONB) are an area of wilderness and tranquillity. Panoramic views lead you through coast, heath and combe. Explore and you will find rocky Jurassic coastline, exposed heathland summits, deep wooded combes, undulating farmland and attractive villages all within this protected landscape. The cottage is a short drive (or a fabulous 2½ mile walk) from the village of Nether Stowey, with its range of shops and pubs. Places of interest include Coleridge Cottage and Dunster Castle (both NT), the Somerset Levels, Glastonbury Tor, Wells Cathedral, Cheddar Gorge and Taunton. Beach 2 miles. Shop 2½ miles, pub and restaurant 100 yards.

Hollies Cottage is a charming, cosy, stone holiday cottage full of period features including exposed beams, a woodburner and spiral staircase. Set in a quiet area within the village of Draycott. Only 1½ miles from Cheddar, famed for its gorge and caves, as well as numerous pubs and restaurants. Suitable for either active breaks with walking on the Mendip Hills and the wildlife of the Somerset Levels, or just to relax in comfort. Close by is the cathedral city of Wells 5½ miles, Weston-super-Mare 15 miles; Glastonbury 11 miles, Bath and Bristol less than 50 minutes away. Shop and pub 300 yards.

Dragonfly Barn is a charming barn conversion providing three self contained semi-detached holiday units (refs 26907, 26908 and 28845). Situated on the first floor by way of an external staircase, Dragonfly 1 offers bright accommodation with use of a delightful sunny lawned sitting out area. Dragonfly 2 has its own private patio garden. Interconnecting doors can be utilised if required to accommodate up to 6 guests. Dragonfly 3 is a charming detached single-storey barn conversion with enclosed private courtyard garden leading off from the bedroom. North Newton is situated between the Somerset Levels and the Quantock Hills, England’s first designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Bridgwater/Taunton Canal runs alongside the village and is a popular area for many activities including fishing, golf, cycling or a quiet stroll to enjoy the range of wildlife in this wetland habitat. Close by is Maunsel Lock where you can visit the tea rooms, take a boat trip or follow the Space Walk along the canal. The Quantock Hills, Exmoor National Park and Blackdown Hills are all within easy reach, making it ideal for cycling and walking. Shop 1 mile, pub and restaurant 150 yards.

Welcome to The Old Dairy, a delightful and spacious one bedroom property, converted in 2021 and set all on one level.
The Old Dairy is set in an L shape, from your outdoor seating area, you will enter in to the kitchen/diner, which has been cleverly designed to make the most of the space; it features a lovely solid oak worktops and comes equipped with everything you will need for your stay. Leading off from here, you have your bedroom with a double bed. The bright and airy living room has large picture windows overlooking your private patio garden and is a real sun trap, truly the perfect place for your morning brew or to relax after a day exploring. You also have a fabulous wet room with large shower and heated towel rail.
The Old Dairy is the perfect base to explore from. Just a short walk away is the River Parrett with its walking trail which is 40 miles long, great for all abilities. Hop in the car and head off to the medieval town of Glastonbury for some shopping at its factory outlet Clarks Village. The beaches of Berrow, Brean and Weston-super-Mare are all within easy reach. Head to Weston’s Grand Pier where you can spend hours at the amusements, then into town for some traditional seaside fare! Beach 8 miles.

Welcome to The Piggery, a charming one-bedroom studio annexe built in 1844, located on the site of a converted Wesleyan chapel. The Piggery is finished to a very good standard and located in the charming village of Carlingcott, just 6 miles from the centre of Bath, allowing you to mix both country and city living into your holiday!
Head up the drive and through the wooden gates to The Piggery. Outside you have a private gravelled courtyard with bistro seating, perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine after a day out exploring, there is also a free to use electric vehicle charging point. Inside, you have an open plan living/kitchen/bedroom, the vaulted ceiling adds to the feeling of space and the Velux windows are great for star gazing at the dark skies above. The kitchen is well equipped with fridge/freezer, Sage mini oven, microwave, air fryer and induction hobs, while the living area has a comfortable sofa, DAB radio and Smart TV with Sky, Sky Sports and Netflix. Within a 5-minute drive you have Peasedown St John, where you will find pubs, restaurants and local stores to stock up on essentials, or head into the city centre at Bath where you will find stunning architecture, independent shops as well as larger chain stores, and quirky cafés along the river, or treat yourself to a day bathing in the waters of Thermae Bath Spa! The nearby ancient Medieval towns of Wells and Glastonbury are packed full of eclectic charm, and Glastonbury Tor is well worth the walk up to marvel in the stunning Somerset views. The Piggery is also ideally located near to local wedding venues such as Priston Mill or Wick Farm.
