This holiday property has an open-plan living area offering spectacular views over the beach of Benllech Bay as well as far-reaching views of Puffin Island, The Great Orme and Snowdonia National Park. The large sandy beach is just 100 yards from the property making it ideal for family use. For those who enjoy watersports, the areas of Menai and Beaumaris are a short drive away. Anglesey offers excellent cycle and walking routes, along with several golf courses and the historic castle at Beaumaris. Shops 300 yards, pub 400 yards, restaurant 100 yards.

Externally the property does have fifteen steps that lead you to the front door and there is a pretty enclosed gravelled garden to the rear through a shared access, perfect to take advantage of on them hot summer evenings.
A gentle stroll from Castle View brings you to the golden sands of Beadnell Bay. This is a popular destination for water sports enthusiasts, including sailing, kite surfing, sea kayaking and scuba diving. Beadnell is renowned as a holiday destination and offers local facilities including a village shop and pub serving good food. Just 1 mile up the coastline is the traditional fishing port of Seahouses, where boat trips, depart regularly from its harbour to the nearby Farne Islands, famous for its bird sanctuaries and seal colony. Here there are also several charming tea rooms, quaint pubs, and shops. Horse riding, fishing, and golf on the links close, by being only a sample of the many amenities available in this popular location.
A further 2 miles up the coastline is the picture-perfect village of Bamburgh, famous for its majestic fortress and Grace Darling Museum. The market town of Alnwick, with its own dramatic castle, is only a short drive inland. Visitors will enjoy a trip to Alnwick Garden, a spectacular interpretation of a formal garden including the Grand Cascade waterfall and restaurant within the largest tree house in Europe. Golfers and water sports enthusiasts are also well-catered for. The local Storws Wen Golf Club is 1½ miles from the cottage and is open to visitors throughout the year. Anglesey is recognised and protected as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the coastal footpath runs around the island and alongside Benllech Beach. A short walk along brings you to the beautiful neighbouring Red Wharf Bay, where there is a choice of two excellent pub/restaurants. Further afield is historic Beaumaris with its 13th-century castle and the National Trust’s Plas Newydd. Golf, angling and sea fishing available locally. Situated in a quiet residential area, this detached bungalow is in a perfect location for exploring Devon. House of Marbles is situated close by, where you can visit the shop or enjoy a spot of lunch. Take a trip into Bovey Tracey with an array of independent shops, cafés and restaurants. Lustleigh is a few miles drive and is a quaint village with lots of thatched cottages, a tea room and a pub. Walkers can escape and explore the depths of Dartmoor, spot wild Dartmoor ponies, or cross ancient stone bridges spanning the clear bubbly waters of the River Dart and other rivers. You can also feel the somewhat eerie presence of the tors, seven rocky hills presiding majestically over the moors. Visit National Trust Castle Drogo and Lydford Gorge, quaint towns and Buckfast Abbey. Take a trip to Torbay, known as the English Riviera due to its unique micro-climate; take the ferry across to Dartmouth and the neighbouring town of Brixham, set on and across the River Dart. At the mouth of the river are Kingswear and Dartmouth Castles with the rocky waters of the estuary lapping at their feet. Exeter and its stunning cathedral is just a 10-mile drive, and Exeter Racecourse and Haldon are not far away. A nature trail and cycle route can be found in the Forestry Commission, 7 miles. From Heron View take a walk into the picturesque town of Kirkcudbright and take a stroll round the harbour and pop into the numerous shops, galleries, cafes and restaurants, and the impressive ruins of MacLellan’s Castle. The best of both worlds!

Known as the Artist’s town, Kirkcudbright attracts visitors throughout the year drawn by the harbour, the historic high street and the diverse range of annual events and visitor attractions. The picturesque harbour of West Bay is 2 miles away and was made famous by the TV drama ’Broadchurch’, while the village of Abbotsbury, 3 miles away, is popular for its swannery, sub-tropical gardens and childrens farm. Spread along the coast from Sidmouth is a host of attractions, including the Donkey Sanctuary and Beer Caves at Seaton and Axminster where you can ride on the trams or eat at the River Cottage restaurant. Into Dorset try fishing in a boat out of the cobb at Lymm Regis, fossil hunting at the museum or a walk up Golden Cap for the breathtaking views. Weymouth with its sandy beaches and Sealife Centre is well worth a visit, discover the dinosaurs at the Dorchester museum or travel back in time with a visit to Thomas Hardy’s cottage, go to war at the Bevington Tank Museum, or say ’hi’ to the monkeys at Monkey World. Enjoy a dip at Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door for a sightseeing walk, explore Crofe Castle, and then all aboard the steam train at Swanage. Shops and pubs 1 mile.
