  • The Mill Farmhouse, CarmarthenshireInstant Book Overlay Image
Mill House is a double fronted, listed, detached stone farmhouse dating from c.1795-1805. It was formerly part of the Cawdor Estate and was purchased by the current owner’s father in the 1960’s. Mill farm has been in the family’s possession (firstly as tenants and latterly as owners) for over a hundred and fifty years. The house was modernised in the 1970’s when a number of original features were either removed or covered up. Now, all of these changes have been reversed during a very careful and painstaking restoration. These have included opening up the original fireplaces, repairing the sash windows, installing a new underfloor heating system, and upstairs, exposing the original wooden floor and stairs. Holidaymakers now have the opportunity to appreciate and enjoy this wonderful historic home and relax in the comfort of its elegant surroundings.

Llandybie lies at the western base of the Black Mountains and very close to the Brecon Beacons National Park. The lovely town of Llandeilo lies just 6 miles away and offers an array of chic shops, cafes and restaurants as well as a renowned luxury chocolatier and ice cream maker. Dinefwr Castle is also within walking distance of the town.
