Cwtch Ty Gwyn sits on the owner’s land and has far reaching views of the rolling countryside of Brecon Beacons National Park and the picturesque Towy Valley. Decorated to a high standard, Cwtch Ty Gwyn is the perfect property for a relaxing break for families or friends alike. This eco-conscious property consists of an open-plan living space with spacious kitchen-diner and island complete with beautiful oak ridge lantern from which you can look up and view the stars. Kitchen is well equipped and also has a dining table. Step down two steps into the living room with its with Smart TV, unlimited Wi-Fi and Netflix and double sofa bed with deluxe mattress. Please note if sleeping in the living area there are no blinds over the roof lantern in adjacent kitchen-diner, therefore light will come through in the early morning however it’s just perfect for lying in bed and stargazing in the world renowned Brecon Beacons Dark Sky Reserve. From the living area there are French doors leading on to the slate patio area of the garden. The boot/utility room has a washing machine and tumble dryer, microwave and Nespresso coffee machine. There is also a separate shower room with walk-in shower and heated towel rail. There are two bedrooms, one with a king size bed and Smart TV, and a twin room, both with their own en-suite bathrooms.

The outside space is just fabulous, with a large slate patio complete with luxury outdoor furniture overlooking Llandeilo and the River Towy and an enclosed grassed area. Up to two friendly dogs are welcome at the property, but please be aware that there are sheep and cows grazing opposite the property so it may be wise keeping them on a lead when not in your enclosed garden. There is off road parking which can be found at the side of the property.

On the edge of the town why not visit the lovely National Trust Dinefwr Park and Gothic Newton House? Pembrey Country Park is a short distance from the property and a great day out for the family, there is also a dry ski slope here and toboggan run! The Gower Peninsula is approximately 20 miles from the property and Rhossilli Bay and Worms Head are a fantastic day out, walk out to Worms Head and you can see for miles, look out for the seals and the giant jellyfish that can be seen from the cliffs.
For those looking for some history, Kidwelly Castle is 5 miles from the property. There is an award winning golf course for those enthusiasts just 4 miles from the property, or walk across to the harbour and enjoy a light snack and drink in the local restaurant. You can also walk to the lighthouse, there are some lovely views to be had from here. Trefechan is a lovely, detached bungalow set a mile back from the local village of Pumpsaint. A great place to base yourself to explore the local countryside. It has a large, enclosed lawned garden for those bringing their dogs, there is also a field in which the dogs can run around. This property comprises of a large open plan living and dining room with views over the open countryside, a well-equipped kitchen and two bedrooms, one with a kingsize bed and the other with two single beds. It has a bathroom with a shower over the bath. In the garden there is a private hot tub which overlooks the countryside.

Come and enjoy the delights of Tynval, nestled on the edge of the rural hamlet of Bronwydd Arms near the market town of Carmarthen. This beautiful, single-storey barn conversion was once the milking parlour and part of the once busy Cwmgwili Mill Farm, which is steeped in history and dates back to the 1600’s. The mill, which is on the side of the farmhouse, stopped working in the 1950’s. The mill first produced flour and then was converted into a woollen mill which produced blankets for the war. The farm was built by the owners of Cwmgwili mansion, which is a short walk up the hill, and served as the source of food for the estate owners many years ago. The owners have meticulously restored Tynval and retained all the quirks and charm throughout, with vaulted ceilings, beams, exposed stone walls and solid teak flooring offering a superb barn for your family to enjoy.
Here at TynVal we are trying to be energy self-sufficient to reduce our carbon foot-print, you will notice we have solar panels on the roof which we can produce up to 7kwh and we can store 10kwh with our battery storage,every thing within the cottage is powered by electric so during the summer months we don’t need to take any energy from the grid, so we would ask guests kindly if they would use the energy we produce wisely.
It is just a 5-minute drive from the market town of Carmarthen and 15 minutes from the beautiful seaside village of Llansteffan, where the famous salmon river, the Towy, joins Carmarthen Bay. Here you can also visit the ruined castle, dating back to the early 12th-century, along with the Iron Age earthworks still visible to this day and which once controlled an important river crossing of the Towy. Enjoy a walk to discover this castle and its epic views overlooking the sand flats and the Towy river mouth.

Aberglasney, a few minutes away, is is said to be one of the finest gardens in Wales and surrounds a restored Grade II listed mansion which is perfect for cream teas whilst enjoying the scenery.
Travelling west is the historic township of Laugharne, the hometown of the famous poet Dylan Thomas, here you can view his writing shed, his former home and enjoy some fine locally brewed ales in his favourite pub.

The beams and high ceiling give a lovely light feel to the space and the stunning mezzanine bedroom with kingsize bed and TV overlooks the living room. There’s an additional bedroom on the ground floor with zip and link six foot bed. The spacious and well-appointed ground floor bathroom offers a Jacuzzi bath and a double size walk-in shower cubicle. The cottage has super fast fibre broadband, and outside there is a store with heating, perfect for keeping walking gear and boots dry and warm, and space for bikes too.
