Tyn Y Maen is a welcoming, comfortable property with a large garden, and benefits from an outdoor utility which has an additional shower and storage for bikes, kayaks and paddle boards. The living room has a large inglenook fireplace with cosy log burner, and doors leading out onto the large garden area. There are three bedrooms and a family bathroom, along with a well-equipped kitchen/dining area.

Caernarfon, with its magnificent castle and a fine selection of shops, restaurants and pubs, is just 15 minutes drive away, and is also the start of the Welsh Highland Railway for scenic journeys into the heart of Snowdonia. The popular beaches of Dinas Dinlle and Llanfairfechan are only 20 minutes’ drive away. Tyn Y Maen is a perfect location for relaxing winter escapes and summer beach holidays.

This delightful log cabin has been thoughtfully furnished to offer a cosy and welcoming feel, with enough room for all the family. On a covered veranda in the garden you will find the blissful hot tub, which offers the perfect place to relax at the end of the day, with views of the pleasant enclosed garden. Both bedrooms offer the flexibility of zip and link twin beds which can be made into super kingsize beds (on request). The owners have thoughtfully provided complimentary toiletries should you forget your own!
Bring your bucket and spade as the glorious sandy beach at Morfa Dyffryn is just a mile down the road and offers superb views over to the Rhinog Mountains. For the more adventurous, Zip World and Bounce Below at Blaenau Ffestiniog are a thrill seekers delight, whilst the famous Ffestiniog Railway and mighty Harlech Castle are also well worth a visit. From Barmouth, why not hire a bike and cycle across Barmouth Bridge and along the Mawddach Trail to Penmaenpool and Dolgellau? Beach 1 mile. Shops 300 yards, pubs and restaurants ½ mile.

Tywyn is surrounded by the Tarren Hills, and holds the 7-mile long Talyllyn Narrow Gauge Steam Railway that runs between Tywyn Wharf and Nant Gwernol. Nearby Tal-y-llyn lake and Talyllyn steam railway are always popular with visitors, as are the sandy beaches along Cardigan Bay. Some visitor attractions include the Centre for Alternative Technology, King Arthur’s Labyrinth, Animalarium, Coed-y-Brenin Forest and Portmeirion Italianate village. Other places to visit are Birds Rock, Castell y Bere, Dolgoch Falls Walk, Aberdovey, Corris slate mines and craft centres. The location is also great for easy access into Snowdonia. Situated in the quiet village of Garndolbenmaen in the Snowdonia National Park, this cottage is near to one of the new UNESCO World Heritage sites for Wales Slate - ’Gorseddau and Prince of Wales Slate Quarries, Railways and Mill’. This is a perfect central location for Porthmadog home to the Welsh Highland Steam Railway, Cricieth perfect for spotting porpoises in the bay, and Harlech home to another World Heritage Site Harlech Castle, the Llyn Peninsula and the Snowdonia mountains and passes are all within easy reach. Fairbourne and Barmouth are a pleasant drive away, with miles of golden sands at Barmouth and a smaller sandy beach at Fairbourne. Drive down to the lovely seaside resort of Aberdovey with candy-coloured houses, a long uncrowded beach and seaside atmosphere.

In the heart of Criccieth this 17th-century wing of a Grade II listed manor house has been fully and beautifully restored and is now a stylish and comfortable holiday cottage. Set in a wooded enclave the cottage is brimming with character - thick stone walls shuttered windows, two inglenook fireplaces and a stone, steep, spiral staircase.

This bustling market town, constantly occupied since Roman times, is dominated by Edward I’s magnificent 13th century castle which houses the Regimental Museum of the Royal Welsh Fusiliers - Wales’ oldest regiment. Explore the coastline using the Cambrian Coast railway line, visit Porthmadog, home to the famous Ffestiniog Railway, or nearby Portmeirion, whilst the quarry town of Blaenau Ffestiniog now has plenty to attract visitors with Zipworld and Bounce Below providing thrills for all the family.
