In a setting of stunning natural beauty, Mill Bank (ref UK33902) is the latest addition to a superb choice of cottages at Tuckenhay Mill. An extremely spacious two-person cottage having a living, dining, kitchen area on the higher level with two south-facing balconies overlooking the stream towards the Mill. The master bedroom and en-suite shower room are on the lower level, together with the riverside day room. Your own footpath leads from the garden via a footbridge to the facilities at the Mill.
Tuckenhay Mill is the centrepiece of a cluster of country homes and cottages with superb leisure facilities including two indoor and one outdoor pools.
The Mill which once produced some of the finest paper in the land, nestles in the green and shady Bow Creek, a languid inlet of the River Dart where private yachts have replaced the old tall-masted ships and barges. Around the mill are all the buildings which once went to make up a small bustling village port. These listed buildings have been sympathetically restored and converted to a delightful range of holiday properties to suit larger family parties. Awards have been won for the conversion of buildings and the conservation of the area. With so much to do, many holidaymakers return year after year. There is golf nearby and a pub within 1 mile.

Tuckenhay is only a 20-minute drive from the superb award-winning beach at Blackpool Sands and about 30 minutes from a surfing beach at Bantham, as well as some of the best natural beaches to be found anywhere in the UK.
There is also extensive access to the coastal footpath for walking and the wilderness that is Dartmoor for walking, climbing and riding.
This is a mecca for ramblers, bird-watchers, swimmers, surfers, horse riders, golfers and those interested in fishing, boating, sailing and windsurfing.
In addition, there are many historic NT houses to visit including Agatha Christies’s Greenway as well as a local vineyard.
Tuckenhay is only 5 miles inland from Dartmouth and 3 from the market town of Totnes. Village shop 3½ miles. Riverside inn and restaurant within walking distance.



A superb choice of cottages
Great care has been taken to retain the feel of the original buildings. Most have garden, terrace or patio. Many cottages have more than one bathroom and some have an en-suite bathroom to every bedroom. Kitchens are comprehensively equipped: most have dishwashers and all have microwave cookers.
Couples and honeymooners will feel snug and comfortable in the cottages: Mill Leat, Mill Stream, Mill Spring and now Mill Bank. Families can spread out in Papermaker’s or Turbine Cottages, while Mill Lodge, Edgecombe Barn and Tuckenhay Mill House will sleep larger parties in comfort. Of course, combinations of cottages can accommodate bigger gatherings of family or friends.

Situated 200 yards from Loch Sunart in the bay of Camas Inas with access to a rocky beach and the cottages own mooring, this newly renovated cottage is perfectly situated to explore the Ardnamurchan Peninsula, the most westerly part of the UK. In the grounds of the cottage is a garage for storing kayaks, paddle boards and bicycles. It is just one minutes’ walk to the loch where you can swim or fish and have close up views of passing dolphins and otters. There is also horse riding, canoeing and water rafting locally as well as clay pigeon shooting.
The cottage is all on one level with five steps up to it with two bedrooms, one which can either be a double size bed or twin beds lounge bathroom and kitchen. A cot is available for babies.
The double glazing and central heating are complemented by an open fire (with fireguard) and a supply of logs provided. Designed to make you feel cosy and comfortable, the cottage is decorated to remind you of Victorian Scotland but has every modern comfort. There are lots of stunning hill and loch-side walks in the area with Castle Tioram being one of the most beautiful sights to see in Scotland. Glen Coe and Ben Nevis with skiing are not far but you can also take a short drive to pubs, award winning restaurants, cafe’s, distillery, or smokehouse to enjoy local produce of seafood or venison. Drive further down the Pensinsula to the award winning organic Ardnamurchan Distillery or to Kilchoan and the Ardnamurchan lighthouse and then take the ferry across to Mull and visit Tobermory and several fish restaurants all selling local fresh caught produce.
Nearby there is a post office and two general food shops. The fish man comes every Tuesday with freshly landed fish including langoustine and lobsters. Venison and organically grown vegetables can be bought locally. You can also order a delivery from a local supermarket in Fort William for basic supplies although there will be items like tea, bread, milk, eggs, and wine in a welcome hamper for you on arrival.
There is a local GP and the area has its own ambulance, coastguard, fire service and police on the peninsula.

Uncover the delights of Oak Cottage nestled within the quaint hamlet of Walwyns Castle, in the rolling Pembrokeshire countryside near the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Footpath, and close to St Brides Bay, complete with a plethora of picture-postcard beaches including St Brides, Little Haven and Broad Haven. In an evening after a busy day sightseeing, relax in your private hot tub with a glass of bubbly, relax those muscles and take in the stars. On-site there is plenty to keep you busy with a large shared games room boasting a full size pool table, table football, table tennis and soft play area for the young ones. For those more active, enjoy a game of tennis or keep fit at the gym. There is also an outdoor climbing frame and slide to keep the children entertained.

Oak Cottage is set all on one level within the mature grounds of the owner’s home and is the end of a row of three beautiful holiday cottages. The contemporary, galley-style kitchen offers the perfect space for testing your culinary skills, or you may prefer to dine al fresco in the south facing courtyard, perfect for evening sunsets. Both bedrooms have been lovingly furnished to a very good standard.

The coastal hamlet of Little Haven is 10 minutes away where you can enjoy fresh line caught fish or an array of shellfish, and the local inn/restaurant serving local ales. Travelling further south west, visit the boating village of Dale and enjoy some fantastic walks, boating, kayaking and fishing, or for some birdlife, take a trip to Skomer Island with boats departing from St Martins Haven. Tenby, Folly Farm Zoo, Heatherton World of Adventures and Oakwood, Wales’ largest theme park, are all within 40 minutes’ drive and perfect for all the family.

This charming two-bed cottage is ideal for a romantic getaway or some fun time away with friends. Just 200m from the lovely sandy beach, the cottage offers opportunity for great walks and stunning views of Ailsa Craig and the Isle of Arran. Ballypride is a semi-detached holiday home that sleeps four guests and two dogs. With a spacious living room and dining area you can get cosy on the massive corner sofa while enjoying Satellite TV on our 52’’ Phillips Ambilight TV with 9.1 Dolby Atmos Surround Sound System. With detachable side speakers you can place anywhere in the room for a truly cinematic experience, you’ll need some popcorn for those movies. If you fancy some fun you can fire up the Nintendo Switch and have some adventures with Mario. There are two controllers but you can bring your own if you need a four player tournament. Feel free to bring any of your own Nintendo Switch games. Alternatively, you can go old school and sit at the dining table and enjoy a game of cards, Trivial Pursuit, Scrabble or chess. The two bedrooms each boast Egyptian cotton linen.

Girvan has shops, restaurants, cafes and leisure areas. Within a 15-minute walk there is a swimming pool, amusement area, large children’s play area, boating pond (seasonal) and the harbour with links to fishing trips or boat tours. The property is handy for the train station with links to Glasgow and Ayr or you can travel one hour north and grab a ferry to the beautiful Isle of Arran, travel south for an hour and you can get a ferry to Belfast. The Ayrshire Coastal path runs through the town with numerous sandy beaches to visit and walking trails to explore.

The area is steeped in history, with many ruined castles to discover, such as Dunure, Turnberry and Greenan. The world-famous Turnberry Resort is close by and in addition to golf it also has a fantastic spa and outdoor centre.

This is the ideal holiday location being just a 5-minute drive from Lands End, which boasts spectacular cliffs with breathtaking scenery, and the very popular Sennen beach, which enjoys good surf and spectacular sunsets. The white sand of this popular beach attracts families and keen surfers. St Just is the nearest town, just 3 miles away, and has a busy square with shops, a bakery, four pubs, craft shops and art galleries. The fishing village of Mousehole is 6 miles with its small sandy beach area, pretty harbour, narrow twisting streets lined with excellent restaurants and pubs, or slightly further is St Ives, 12 miles. Penzance is also worth a visit, with its wealth of amenities including museums, fishing, golf, tennis and horse riding, as well as day trips to the Isles of Scilly. St Michael’s Mount at Marazion is a further 3 miles from Penzance. There is easy access to spectacular walks in the surrounding countryside and the coastal path to Cape Cornwall in one direction and Land’s End in the other. For cultural enthusiasts the St Ives Tate Gallery is on offer or the open air Minack Theatre at Porthcurno. Positioned alongside well-established coarse fishing lakes in a peaceful, rural location, these five detached lodges (refs UKC1324, UKC1325, 29727, 29728 and 29729) provide superb holiday accommodation. The properties are just 2 miles from Burgh le Marsh and only 5 miles from the seaside resort of Skegness with its excellent sandy beaches, fun fair, amusements, theatre, a seal sanctuary and Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve. Each lodge has its own private hot tub positioned on the decked veranda overlooking the fishing lakes, which are all well stocked with mature carp up to 20lbs, barble up to 11lbs and bream up to 7lbs, as well as crucian carp, chub, tench, ide, rudd, roach and perch. For those that don’t want to fish, there is plenty to see and do in the area. Attractions in the area include the Lincolnshire Wolds, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight at Coningsby or Horncastle, a 30-minute drive, which is famous for its many antique and collectables shops. Built in 2023, Brook Cottage is a very well presented detached cottage set within the owners’ gated grounds. The bright and airy cottage has an open plan living/dining/kitchen with a Smart TV, dining table and in the kitchen area, everything you’ll need for your stay. There’s an adjacent utility area with a washing machine and tumble dryer, and a separate toilet. On the first floor you’ll find the two bedrooms, one with zip and link super kingsize bed which can be twin beds on request, and the second with a kingsize bed. A shower rooom completes the first floor. Outside and to the rear is a large private patio garden which is fully enclosed, perfect for dogs to run around freely in (but please keep them on leads when not in this area). There are lovely borders with bespoke wooden seating and a luxurious private hot tub.
Within a 10-minute drive you have Blue Anchor beach, a wonderful dog friendly beach with café, the town of Watchet with its harbour and local shops and pubs, or the seaside resort of Minehead which has many shops, restaurants and a beach. The village of Washford is under a mile away with its lovely local Inn. Whilst in Minehead, why not jump on the West Somerset Steam Railway which weaves its way along the north Somerset coast through to the countryside town of Bishops Lydeard. Exmoor National Park, with its dark star gazing skies, is within easy reach being under 2 miles away, and has many quaint hamlets and villages to explore, miles of moors, superb scenery and the famous wild Exmoor ponies. Then there’s the local county town of Taunton where you can indulge in some shopping, dining or catch a game of cricket at the county ground.
