Situated on a section of the River Steeping known as the ’Haven’, these beautifully converted cottages offer cosy, stylish holiday accommodation in a peaceful, picturesque location and enjoy country views. All three properties have the added benefit of a private hot tub. Originally agricultural buildings dating from 1872, access to the cottages is via a private lane on the owner’s arable farm, which itself is steeped in history. Guests are welcome to explore over 80 acres of riverbank and tracks, ideal for wildlife watching and romantic strolls. Just 800 yards away is the medieval town of Wainfleet All Saints. Here visitors will find a weekly market and street auctions, pubs, a famous brewery with visitor tours, restaurants and shops. Award-winning sandy beaches, family entertainment and amusements can be found 5 miles away in Skegness, and Fantasy Island fun park is 8 miles. Gunby Hall is 7 miles and Tattersall Castle 15 miles, both National Trust. Horncastle, famous for antiques, is 15 miles and the medieval cathedral city of Lincoln is 40 miles. Ideal for small families the practical bedroom with adjacent extra sitting space has a king size bed with a single bed and a z-bed for a child under twelve years. Children will love playing in the enclosed garden or take them to watch milking time on the farm. French doors lead out to a wonderful enclosed rear courtyard with patio furniture, a great place to relax and unwind after a day of sea air and exploring the local area.
Just a stone’s throw from Gorleston beach, a glorious wide sandy beach backed with promenade and eateries. These dog friendly beaches are great for walks, with a beach café and pub at either end, both offering refreshments and food. The town centre is within ¾ of a mile having shops and further eateries to enjoy. River cruises available on the amazing Norfolk Broads, a National Park with over 125 miles of waterways, or daily boat hire available to explore at your own speed.
Great Yarmouth seaside resort has a 15-mile stretch of glorious sandy beach with pier, entertainment, Sea Life Centre, bowling, amusements, donkey rides, bouncy castles, model village, fun fair for both small children and adrenaline rides, crazy golf, swimming pool (opening summer 2022), restaurants, cafés and pubs. Deck chairs are available for hire and boat trips are available to visit the seals at Scroby Sands. There is a firework spectacular each Wednesday during the summer season. The town has shops, supermarkets, cafés, pubs, and a train station with regular service to other coastal villages and the city of Norwich, a shopper’s delight, a stadium for grey hound racing, stock car racing and horse racing. The area is filled with interesting villages and plenty of eateries to enjoy. The city of Norwich, 23 miles, for excellent shopping with two indoor malls, market square, cathedral, castle museum, theatre, cafés, and restaurants. Beach 1 mile. Shop and pub ¾ mile.

The Tipis are situated on the owner’s 16-acre farmland, with sea views and beautiful meadows, forestry and waterfalls all on-site and within walking distance from the cottage – there are even pet lambs in the field. This is an ideal break away for a family or friends to enjoy this peaceful location, located just 2 miles from the fabulous quirky harbour towns of Aberaeron. Aberaeron retains its Georgian character with elegant brightly painted town houses and with a small harbour for yachts and fishing boats. Aberaeron is becoming something of a foodie pleasure. Stroll around the harbour along Quay Parade and enjoy lunch or dinner at one of the award-winning restaurants. The independent shops and craft centres are also a big hit amongst our guests. The town is right on the Wales Coast Path and The Coastal Way.
Ceredigion’s coast is also well-known for wildlife including the famous Cardigan Bay bottlenose dolphin pods, there are boat trips to explore the Ceredigion Marine Heritage Coast and the town features a Seafood Festival in July. From chilling out on the beach or enjoying a hearty harbour meal after a train ride Aberystwyth and Newquay which are a short drive offer traditional Welsh pubs, stylish restaurants and sandy beaches, where dolphins and porpoises are often spotted on a clear day. To the north are the famous slopes of Snowdon, offering breath-taking views with abundance of walks amidst the tumbling waterfalls, shimmering lakes with buzzards and peregrine falcons soaring high. The area is a natural playground for ramblers, mountain bikers and climbers alike.
The tipis consist of an open plan living/bedroom space with double bed, single sofa bed, a wood burning stove and externally there is a seating area with garden furniture and a fire pit. The kitchen is approximately 20 metres from the tipi with a fridge, freezer, sink, gas hob and microwave oven. The bathroom has a walk-in shower (wet room), again next to the kitchen area. Scalpsie Bay, set against the magnificent backdrop of Arran, is home to a large colony of seals.
There are many historical sites to visit including the standing stones at Ettrick Bay, the ancient chapel of St Blane, and the vitrified Iron Age Fort at Dunagoil. Visit the Victorian Gothic mansion of Mount Stuart, open to the public along with its beautiful gardens, Bute Museum, Rothesay Castle and the fabulous gardens of Ascog Hall and Ardencraig. There are many events held throughout the year, including the famous annual Jazz Festival, the spectacular Highland Games, traditional agricultural shows, concerts and art festivals; whatever your interest it can be found on the Isle of Bute. Catch the ferry for the 5-minute trip to Colintraive on the Cowal Peninsula and explore Argyll’s Secret Coast where you have easy access to Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, or head north to Inverary and beyond.
