There are four beautiful first floor bedrooms. The master bedroom has a 6ft super kingsize bed which can also be configured as two singles, whilst the second bedroom boasts a kingsize bed adorned with fine linens and super soft duvets. These two bedrooms are accessed from the kitchen up a beautifully striped carpeted staircase, and each has oak-beamed ceilings and views across the fields. The other two bedrooms can be found at the top of a wooden staircase off the main living room. The third room has a welcoming kingsize bed and is best for watching the sunrise from the vantage point of your cloud soft pillow. The fourth bedroom has a single solid oak bed and benefits from far-reaching inland views across unspoilt countryside.
Trevigue Holiday Cottage has a large upstairs bathroom with Victorian tiled floor, and vintage-style fittings including a deep bath for soaking in after a long day stomping the North Cornwall coast path. The ground floor shower room has a walk-in shower perfect for washing off sandy toes.
Outside this gorgeous cottage, guests benefit from their own little garden with views stretching out to the fields and woodland beyond. The coastal path is a five-minute walk away, and you can clamber down to Strangles beach from the farmland. There is plenty of parking for two cars right next to your self-catering Cornish cottage, and any additional cars can park in the large car park situated next the main farmhouse, which is less than a minute’s walk away.

Set in a quiet residential area but just minutes from the beautiful beach and the bustling town centre, each has bags of charm and personality, while maintaining that luxury finish. If you can tear yourself away from these delightful retreats you will find yourself spoilt for choice when it comes to things to see and do. Take a stroll along the Edwardian Promenade, have a coffee on the famous pier and do a spot of people-watching or enjoy that glorious beach. Cromer also has a zoo, traditional seaside amusements, crazy golf and a cinema and offers a myriad of great places to shop, eat and drink with every taste catered for. But venture a little further and you will find dramatic coastlines, salt and clay marshes, picturesque quays, creeks and pretty little harbours all waiting to be explored.
Those wishing to see the Norfolk Broads can find themselves there in around thirty minutes and the up-and-coming city break destination of Norwich is just 45 minutes away. You can even see both by train from Cromer station. Add in great golf courses, including some cliff top ones with views to die for, history galore with the Blickling and Holkham Estates and the Muckleburgh and Thursford Collections, the latter with its Christmas Spectacular and you’ll soon be ready to book again, just to fit it all in. When you do return, you will no doubt return to Sugar and Spice Tower because it is just lovely! Great Trevillian Farm is a working sheep farm and offers a well-stocked carp lake for a spot of fishing, a children’s play area and the opportunity to feed Boris and Donald the Kune Kune pigs and pat the friendly ponies.
Tizzy Barn (CWC488161) is a beautiful barn conversion that boasts superb open plan living downstairs yet maintains a traditional feel. There is a cosy wood burner and comfy sofas which will make it a treat for a winter break. At the other end of the building is a set of French windows that open out into the enclosed patio garden. Trebethis (CWC566710) has tiled floors, a beautiful granite fireplace made from three gateposts, exposed beams, including a massive ash beam that separates the kitchen from dining area, all combine to exude character in this superb barn conversion. Honeysuckle Cottage (CWC566741) has been converted from a 400 year old cart house. Inside you will find a bright and spacious open plan living area that welcomes you in, while both bedrooms are tastefully decorated and enhance the ambience. The property has been updated with a larger main bedroom with kingsize bed and a new bathroom with walk in shower. There are French doors that lead out onto a secluded patio garden, a perfect spot to soak up the Cornish air and sunshine, read a book or enjoy your favourite tipple. Mowhay Cottage (CWC566799) is beautifully presented, with vaulted ceilings, a heated tiled floor, a cosy wood burner, exposed beams and many other character features. The gardens at each property, although enclosed, will detain all but the most experienced dog escapologists.
Located a few miles inland from Crackington Haven which has pebbles and rock pools at the top of the beach but as the tide goes out a vast expanse of golden sand is exposed with some of the best surf on the north coast.
To the north is Widemouth bay and the bustling tourist town of Bude while to the west is the stunning and infamous village Boscastle, nestled in a steep valley where the river has cut a course through the steep cliffs to the sea. There are secluded coves, majestic views, wildlife and even a blowhole. Tintagel is 8 miles away and boasts a magnificent new footbridge to reach the castle on a single level and has made the journey to the headland significantly easier. Beach 5 miles.

Polean Farm Cottages are located in Cornwall, down green lanes, off the Looe to Polperro road, just outside the village of Pelynt. The farm is set amongst rolling farmland and is less than 2 miles from the sea. All of the cottages are full of character and provide a cosy home-from-home. They have all been converted from original farm buildings which date back to the 18th century.
The Old Farmhouse (ref UK12895) is a historical, semi-detached farmhouse which has been tastefully renovated and is perfect for a large family get together or for two families to holiday together.
Little Owls Cottage (ref UK12896) is a detached barn named after the owls that still live in the nesting boxes around the building which can sometimes be heard at night. It is set in its own garden with glorious views across the farm and towards the village of Pelynt.
Rosebud Cottage (ref UK12897) and Shires Rest (ref UK12899) are pleasant, beamed cottages with lovely countryside views. Before being converted, both cottages were used to store hay in the winter and you can still see many of the original features.
Threpney Cottage (ref UK12898) is an imaginatively converted ’roundhouse’ and is full of character. The cottage was named after the old twelve sided three penny piece due to its shape.
Twinkles Cottage (ref UK12900) is a charming and spacious ‘upside down’, beamed cottage, with great views across the farm and surrounding countryside.
Waggoners Cottage (ref UK12901) is a delightful single-storey cottage, with its own garden and views of the front fields and the children’s play area at the rear. The cottage was named after the wagons that used to be stored in it and you can still see many of the original features of the barn.
The Mealhouse (ref UK12902) was originally used to store the feed or ‘meal’ for the pigs that resided in the pig sty which can still be seen across from it. The Mealhouse is detached and set slightly apart from the other cottages, offering uninterrupted views across the farm.
Polean Farm provides the perfect destination for a family holiday. The farm offers animal feeding each week day morning, where you may help bottle feed lambs (seasonal) and hand feed pigmy goats and chickens, as well as enjoy pony or tractor rides! The farm is also a working livery yard and children and parents often enjoy visiting the horses and ponies each day.
Guests have free use of an indoor heated swimming pool just a few minutes’ drive away. It’s perfect for families and children who want to splash around or those wanting to put in a few lengths and keep fit. Guests are also welcome to make free use of the nightly entertainment at the same local holiday complex which is just a few minutes’ drive from the farm. The entertainment is on every night and includes children’s entertainment, followed by grown up entertainment with top musicians, performers and comedians regularly appearing throughout the season.
