Originally built as an almshouse in the 19th century, this delightful, terraced, Grade II listed holiday property has been skilfully converted into a bright and welcoming cottage for three people. There is a warming multi-fuel burner in the living room, a well-fitted kitchen (no washing machine) with breakfast table, which is the hub of the cottage, two bedrooms and a shower room. Outside, you will find a table and chairs to relax with a morning coffee overlooking the shared lawned garden and the village of Ysbyty Ifan, which is largely owned by the National Trust.

There is a pub and shop in the nearby village of Pentrefoelas, whilst the pretty alpinesque village of Betws-y-Coed, just 7 miles away, offers a wide selection of eateries. Betws-y-Coed is also home to Zip World Fforest, where adrenaline junkies will love the amazing Fforest Coaster which whisks you through the trees, a miniature railway, two historic churches where you may be lucky enough to catch a local male voice choir in concert, and more outdoor equipment shops than you can shake a stick at! You can take the moorland road over to Blaenau Ffestiniog too, visiting the largest zip wire in Europe, the incredible Bounce Below or take a leisurely trip on a narrow gauge steam train on the famous Ffestiniog Railway. Relax and unwind at this beautifully presented and ideally located, semi-detached holiday property, in the Victorian seaside resort of Llandudno. In a central location, it’s just around the corner from the Great Orme Tramway Station, where you can hop on one of the vintage cable operated tramcars for a memorable journey up to the 679ft summit of the Great Orme. From here you can even see the Isle of Man on a clear day, and why not visit the Bronze Age Copper Mines too? The restaurant quarter of town is just a short stroll away, with a great choice of eateries, whilst the promenade, beach and pier are also within walking distance. Llandudno is home to the Venue Cymru Theatre and Arena, offering a great choice of top class shows and concerts all year round. There is plenty to do in Llandudno, enjoy a trip out to sea, watch the Punch and Judy show on the promenade or walk around the Great Orme.
A few miles away is the historic town of Conwy, with its almost complete circuit of town walls, which can be walked around, and the imposing Edward I castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Stroll around the cobbled high street with its fascinating individual shops, or visit the quay where fresh fish is landed daily. A few miles further on into the Conwy Valley is the beautiful National Trust garden at Bodnant. Offering 80 acres of floral abundance, you can admire the beauty of the Laburnum Arch in May, or enjoy a scrummy cream tea at any time of year. Surfers will also enjoy the area, with the unique Surf Snowdonia at Dolgarrog which is well worth a visit, even if you just want to pop in for a coffee and watch the surfing action. It is only a short drive through the pretty country lanes to the glorious National Trust gardens at Bodnant, where you can enjoy a stroll round 80 acres of stunning floral abundance, visit the craft units, or enjoy a cream tea in the tea room. Plus, you can pick up some local delicacies at the Bodnant Welsh Food Centre which is well worth a visit. From here, the historic town of Conwy is just a short drive, with its mighty Edward I castle and almost complete town walls just waiting to be explored. In the pretty town centre with its cobbled High Street, you can visit the historic town’s houses of Aberconwy House (National Trust) and Plas Mawr (Cadw). Stroll along the quayside, visit the smallest house in the UK, or take a boat trip out into the estuary.

Llandudno is also nearby and offers full shopping facilities, together with the Venue Cymru Theatre which has a variety of touring shows and concerts all year round. Llandudno also has the Great Orme, a 679ft rocky headland which juts out into the Irish Sea, offering a country park, the historic cable-operated Great Orme Tramway, and the longest cable car ride in the UK, from Happy Valley gardens to the summit. Surf dudes will love Surf Snowdonia, which you can see from Bryn Hyfryd, and it offers the first inland surfing lagoon in the world. The market town of Llanrwst is close by, with the leafy Gwydyr Forest and the pretty tourist village of Betws-y-Coed being within easy reach. Kids will love the tree top nets at Zip World Fforest in Betws-y-Coed, which now includes the amazing Fforest Coaster, whilst Zip World in Blaenau Ffestiniog has the largest zip wire zone in the world, great fun! Ysbyty Ifan is set within the National Trusts Ysbyty Estate with very diverse landscapes and habitats, part of which has been designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest. The River Conwy runs through this beautiful, picturesque village which is a haven for wildlife enthusiast and photographers, and ideal for cyclists, walkers and ramblers with walking routes from the door. There is also a children’s play area in the village to keep the children occupied. Keen walkers will enjoy the 6-mile circular route on the Ysbyty Estate to Cwm Eidda walk. In the village, is St John’s Church and is of significant historical importance as it was the birthplace of what we now know as the St John’s Ambulance, and the village was the birthplace of Abraham Lincoln’s great-grandmother.
