Hallagenna was once a farm and the home of Beatos, the black stallion from the Lloyds Bank adverts. Although now no longer a working farm, Hallagenna maintains its rural character. The farm has its own miniature pigs and chickens and horses graze in the paddock and share their fields with wild rabbits, which can be easily spotted amongst the grass. A wealth of wildlife can be found grazing the adjacent moor, including ponies, cattle and sheep. Hallagenna Cottages have their own access to Bodmin Moor so it’s ideal for dog walking, hiking, exploring or simply taking in the view.
This beautiful former farm worker’s cottage is set in open moorland (a designated Area of Natural Outstanding Beauty). There are many pretty coves and inlets to discover within a short drive of this cottage including Crackington Haven, Boscastle and Morwenstow, whilst further afield the fishing port of Padstow is a popular tourist destination.
Bude is a fabulous coastal town that once visited, you will want to come back to time and time again. Bude has something for everyone including great beaches for relaxing and building sandcastles on, rockpools for investigating at low tide and cafés to watch it all from. The rolling waves are great for surfing all year round and the footpaths by the restored canal or on the South West Coast Path offer you a superb opportunity to explore and appreciate the outstanding countryside.
