Charlestown, with its Georgian architecture and tall ships, the seafaring town of Fowey, and Mevagissey with its working harbour, are all easily reached. This stylish semi-detached holiday home is located within the wooded grounds of a former hotel and on the edge of the historic and quaint Cornish fishing town of Looe, on Cornwall’s beautiful south coast and has great views across the estuary and wooded valley. The house is perfectly located in peaceful grounds, with French doors leading from the dining room to the patio, and French doors leading from the bedroom to a balcony. It provides an ideal base to enjoy the many amenities of the town and the surrounding area. This can be enjoyed by train as the local branch line and Looe station is close by. Looe has a widespread golden beach in the town that is essential for that perfect family holiday, while Hannifore Beach in West Looe is a year-round dog friendly beach. Looe is also home to one of the country’s major fish markets, where you can buy the freshest catch of the day for that special meal or barbecue on the beach. In September, the town hosts a popular and growing music festival with many big name acts appearing (early bookings recommended). Deep sea fishing, pleasure trips and other watersports can all be enjoyed in Looe along with woodland and coastal walks nearby. To the east of the town is the historic city of Plymouth, with its National Marine Aquarium, theatres, cinemas, bowling and shopping, while to the west is the sea faring town of Fowey, home to the royal sailing regatta and many galleries, both of which can be reached by ferry. The Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, Padstow, Mount Edgcumbe estate, Bodmin Moor and Polperro are all easily reached and provide an excellent day out for all the family. Beach 0.5 miles. Located at the end of a private lane on the edge of Cornwall’s highest village of St Breward, Sandy Barn Cottages comprises three beautifully converted holiday barns (refs B5718, B5719 and W44032) and the owner’s own home, forming a secluded courtyard of 200-year-old granite buildings. The nearest beach of Trebarwith Strand is 20 minutes’ away, but may favourites such as Whitehaven, Daymer Bay, Polzeath and Trevone are within 30-40 minutes’. With the beaches of the North Cornwall coast within 12 miles, visitors can enjoy the best of coast and countryside, alternating their days between tranquil landscapes, coastal walks and seaside fun at the beaches.

Lanxton Barn is a stunning, reverse-level, stone property with a gorgeous open plan living space on the first floor, exposed beams, traditional features, a well-appointed kitchen at one end, dining area, pool table and living area with French doors exposing a Juliet balcony, a raised decked balcony and a six seat hot tub underneath. There is also a cosy snug room so children or adults can watch their favourite programmes without disturbing the rest of the household. Downstairs are five beautifully appointed, spacious bedrooms, two have en-suite shower rooms and a family bathroom, this property is perfect for larger groups.
Lanxton Barn is situated just outside the quiet hamlet of Coad’s Green, a few miles east of Bodmin Moor and with excellent access to both coasts, the A30 and also the stunning Tamar Valley. This rural location has very little light pollution and you can while away warm summer evenings gazing up at the stars above. There are dozens of excellent walks with Bodmin moor, the Tamar Valley and the north coast beaches all within easy reach. This is a working 100 acre farm so any dogs would have to be supervised and walked on leads if any animals are in the fields. At the top of the farm is the site of a hill fort with panoramic views stretching as far as Dartmoor. The farm has its own free range chickens and ducks with lovely farm fresh eggs available. Nearby are bluebell woods with wild orchids and there is single bank fishing available during the season. Lanxton Barn is situated on a working farm, with a local independent shop 3 miles away (not open late). For main shops Launceston is 7 miles away, but most grocery stores offer delivery. Beach 19⅓ mile.

Cobblestones has some of the best panoramic views in St Mawes, being situated in the exclusive western end of the village close to the castle built by Henry VIII in the 1540s. Cobblestones is reverse level with the main entrance on the same level as the main bedrooms and living area; south facing, with a full width balcony, heated swimming pool (available June to end of August) with permanent safety cover, large garden, plenty of parking and all within walking distance of the village. This is a fantastic property for larger groups and families. the best feature of Cobblestones is, without a doubt, the incredible views. Watch the world go by with yachts, power boats and ferries constantly traversing the vista and occasional shipping movements in Falmouth Bay or heading up the river to the commercial port.
Cobblestones is a 5-minute walk from the pretty harbour area of St Mawes and is one of Cornwall’s most desirable holiday destinations and the stunning harbour, surrounded by lovely local shops, restaurants, bars and hotels is a constant bustle of vibrancy during the season. There are ferry links from the harbour to St Anthony, Falmouth, Trelissick and Malpas. During the winter it is a quiet, peaceful village that rarely sees frosts or snow. St Mawes Castle was built by Henry VIII and is a splendid place to take in the views of the Carrick Roads. There are miles of coastal and countryside walks to take in and some idyllic beaches on which to relax. Beach 2 miles.

The property itself sits on a 1/2-acre plot, is airy, roomy, and mainly on the one level. A balcony wraps around the house with a glass balustrade, teak dining table, chairs, and sun loungers. Under the house is a large storage room with shower, drying room and a selection of bodyboards and wetsuits. The kitchen/breakfast room, dining room, living room, and master bedroom all have magnificent uninterrupted views of the ocean. To the rear of the property is a snug living room with Freeview TV. One bedroom has two sets of bunk beds which is ideal for younger children.

Templeton’s location is exemplified by having one of the shortest walks to the beach with access just outside the garden. Templeton nestles at the top of the steps that lead down onto Mawgan Porth’s stunning beach. There is a large stream that runs down the south side of the beach, with plenty of rock pools and connecting caves for exploring. During the high season, lifeguards from the RNLI safeguard the coastline. The beach faces west and is walled with high cliffs providing shelter from the wind however, Atlantic swells often produce large surf. Mawgan Porth, and the pretty village of St. Mawgan, sits in the perfect location for a peaceful, relaxing and wonderfully memorable holiday in Cornwall.

Situated mid-way between Padstow and Newquay close to the Southwest coastal path on the rugged north Cornish coast, Mawgan Porth offers you a beautiful west-facing beach with stunning scenery, wondrous walks, and superb surfing. Furthermore, there are an amazing variety of restaurants to suit everyone’s taste and pocket: including a cosy pub, seafood restaurant, cafes, and takeaways.
