The property is a self contained renovated wing of a Grade II listed farmhouse. On a working sheep farm the owner can provide stabling if you wish to bring your own horse and enjoy the local riding country. The cottage retains much of its original charm with slate floors and woodburning stove, the sheltered patio is a sun trap and from the gardens there are views over the valley to St. Austell. Only a mile from the nearest beach and 5 miles from both the Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan. A cosy property tucked along a quiet country lane overlooking the historical village of Tintagel, with sea views from the living room, bedroom and kitchen windows. Located about a mile from a long sandy beach and the centre of Arthurian legends at Tintagel, this single-storey stable conversion offers cosy holiday accommodation. The front of the property has a small, fenced garden with a bench and view towards the ocean, whilst at the rear of the property is a cosy patio garden area. Within easy reach are many little coves, the ruins of Tintagel Castle and Celtic monastery remains – with two little beaches far below connected by Merlin’s Cave. Lovely walks in nearby wooded St Nectan’s Glen, by a tumbling stream and waterfall, and in Rocky Valley, where a rock bears intricate Bronze Age carvings. Camelford 5 miles. This 15th-century manor house, with its own pretty garden, has tremendous character, a friendly atmosphere and is extremely well furnished. The spacious beamed sitting room is set on the first floor to take full advantage of the wonderful coastal views. Attached to Manor Cottage (GAX) but completely self-contained, it enjoys a picturesque setting on the green, in the peaceful Cornish hamlet of West Pentire – only 300 yards down a cliff path from acres of clean golden sand (see Manor Cottage GAX). Children and adults alike can sample the delights of rock pool fishing, exploring caves or surfing. By hiring a pony, it is possible to ride cross-country to the beaches of Porth Joke and Holywell, without the need to cross any roads.
Set in the heart of National Trust land, the property is surrounded by magnificent walking country, and is an ideal base from which to explore Cornwall’s splendid countryside and unique history as well as its magnificent coastline. The immediate area is renowned for its superb sandy surfing beaches, punctuated by craggy headlands. Perranporth (named after the patron saint of tin miners) is 10 miles to the south, famous for its drifting sands which have twice buried the church. Lifeguards patrol the wide sandy beach in summer, and surf boards and wet suits can be hired by the day. Further along is St Agnes with its superb coastal views, while to the south lies Truro, the unofficial capital of Cornwall, offering good shops and restaurants, a splendid cathedral and The Royal Cornwall Museum with extensive displays of the county.
The historic and family friendly Bowgie Inn is adjacent and offers a wide selection of food as well as local beers and ciders, and sports fans can enjoy Sky coverage. A general store (open in season) can be found nearby, and Crantock village and its shops are only 1 mile away. The lively resort of Newquay, with its cliffs honeycombed by numerous caves, is 5 miles across the estuary to the north. The property itself sits on a 1/2-acre plot, is airy, roomy, and mainly on the one level. A balcony wraps around the house with a glass balustrade, teak dining table, chairs, and sun loungers. Under the house is a large storage room with shower, drying room and a selection of bodyboards and wetsuits. The kitchen/breakfast room, dining room, living room, and master bedroom all have magnificent uninterrupted views of the ocean. To the rear of the property is a snug living room with Freeview TV. One bedroom has two sets of bunk beds which is ideal for younger children.

Templeton’s location is exemplified by having one of the shortest walks to the beach with access just outside the garden. Templeton nestles at the top of the steps that lead down onto Mawgan Porth’s stunning beach. There is a large stream that runs down the south side of the beach, with plenty of rock pools and connecting caves for exploring. During the high season, lifeguards from the RNLI safeguard the coastline. The beach faces west and is walled with high cliffs providing shelter from the wind however, Atlantic swells often produce large surf. Mawgan Porth, and the pretty village of St. Mawgan, sits in the perfect location for a peaceful, relaxing and wonderfully memorable holiday in Cornwall.

Situated mid-way between Padstow and Newquay close to the Southwest coastal path on the rugged north Cornish coast, Mawgan Porth offers you a beautiful west-facing beach with stunning scenery, wondrous walks, and superb surfing. Furthermore, there are an amazing variety of restaurants to suit everyone’s taste and pocket: including a cosy pub, seafood restaurant, cafes, and takeaways. Madison is a lovely Swedish designed, detached holiday property situated not far from the beach and benefiting from being just under 8 miles from the popular seaside town of Bude. The property can comfortably accommodate eight guests with all rooms on one level.
There are three bedrooms; one with a super kingsize bed, Smart TV and a lovely en-suite with a multi spray unit, double walk-in shower plus a bath and the other two both being twins (one with a handy sink in it). There’s also a family shower room, again with double walk-in shower. The living space consists of a comfortable living area with Smart TV, a separate dining room with a double sofa bed and a conservatory with seating, a telescope and access to the rear garden and patio. The kitchen/breakfast room offers everything you’ll need for your stay and the utility room has a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, freezer and coffee machine.
Outside is a large rear garden consisting of trees, lawn and a patio with a big dining table, perfect for outdoor family gatherings. Children will love running in and out of the trees and bushes and hidden away is a quiet sun lounging area. To the front of the property is an additional garden area and parking for up to five cars on the driveway. Then there’s the games rooms which can be accessed via the side of the building, where you will find table tennis, air hockey, darts, table football, a games console, a TV and even a toilet.
If it’s the beach life you’re looking for then you’ll be spoiled for choice with the nearest beach being just 3 miles away. Much of the coastline in this area is owned by the National Trust and is a haven for wildlife, providing fabulous walking opportunities. There are many pretty coves and inlets to discover within a short drive including Crackington Haven, Boscastle, Morwenstow and stunning Tintagel, inextricably linked to the legend of King Arthur. Further afield the fishing port of Padstow is a popular tourist destination. Bude is a fabulous coastal town and has something for everyone including great beaches, rockpools and cafés to watch it all from. The rolling waves are great for surfing all year round and the footpaths by the restored canal or on the Southwest Coast Path offer you a superb opportunity to explore the outstanding countryside. Bude also has a superb golf course, indoor swimming pool, bowling alley/indoor play area and a heritage centre at Bude Castle.
Madison is also perfectly located for you to discover the many natural delights that North Devon has to offer such as Exmoor National Park with its magical night skies in Europe’s first ‘Dark Sky Reserve’, the many rugged coastal towns and quaint villages such as Hartland, Lynton & Lynmouth, Ilfracombe and the world-famous Clovelly Village. There are plenty of family-oriented places to visit including Exmoor Zoo, Milky Way Adventure Park, The Big Sheep farm-themed park and many others.

The Lily Pad is a wonderful and welcoming holiday home, just a few miles from the dramatic Seven Bays of North Cornwall, famed for its stunning beaches, cliffs, and coves. Once inside you are greeted with a bright and airy, open-plan living space with relaxing sofas to sink into, a cosy wood burner (with ‘starter pack’ provided) for those cooler evenings, and attractive floor and wall art unique to the property and evocative of Cornwall and its heritage. You will find lovingly restored furniture and repurposed features in the side tables and display units, turning function into fun! Lead on to the dining area, complete with impressive handmade wooden dining table and seating for ten guests, looking out onto the garden. The wall here is adorned with a fantastic map of the county, a further reminder of the wonders of this amazing region and its many attractions and places to explore! The adjoining kitchen has a small breakfast bar area and plenty of workspace and equipment for preparing breakfast or your evening meal.

There are five bedrooms all on one level, where the unique and upcycled theme continues, with solid pine furniture given a fresh modern look. A roomy family bathroom includes a bath, while a second bathroom features a walk-in shower.

Outside, an excellent decking area with table, chairs and barbecue offers the ideal space to enjoy morning coffee or evening meal al fresco. There is even a firepit!

You are spoilt for a choice of beaches here; Harlyn Bay Beach, just 3 miles away, offers a broad expanse of golden sand stretching far before you. Trevose Headland offers spectacular vistas, whilst further beaches at Treyarnon Bay and beautiful Porthcothan Beach are just a short drive away, with rock pools for all ages to explore! Visit Padstow, with its fabulous seafood restaurants, busy quayside and narrow streets, or vibrant Newquay, with its plethora of vibrant bars and restaurants, and scintillating surfing and water sports activities.

Away from the coast, Camel Valley Theme Park, the world-renowned Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan all offer fun days out, whilst Bodmin Moor is an atmospheric place, with mysterious rock formations and views as far as the eye can see. The cottage’s location is fantastic for exploring both the quaint and scenic countryside as well as the fantastic beaches on the coast, with the nearest shop being just a short walk away in the hamlet of Tregaswith, and lots of pubs and eateries to choose from in St. Columb Major down the road.
Set off on a surfing expedition to Newquay’s nearby world famous Fistral Beach or Watergate Bay known for enjoying incredible waves all year round, with surf schools here to teach beginners all they need to know!

The lovely village of Downderry features a restaurant, pub, coffee shop and a small shop all within a short walk. Ramblers will enjoy the scenic coastal footpath leading to the charming fishing ports and villages with quays. Looe is within easy reach and scenic Polperro is an enchanting village with quaint, traffic-free lanes and a fishing harbour surrounded with traditional inns and fisherman’s cottages. Take a stroll through the beautiful valley and woodland heading towards Hessenford or explore the coast and its fascinating rock pools between Downderry and Seaton, where there are pubs and a beach café. As one of the most easily accessed parts of Cornwall, you can usually expect to be on the beach just an hour after the Exeter M5 junction 31. Beach 50 yards.
