Located at the end of a private lane on the edge of Cornwall’s highest village of St Breward, Sandy Barn Cottages comprises three beautifully converted holiday barns (refs B5718, B5719 and W44032) and the owner’s own home, forming a secluded courtyard of 200-year-old granite buildings. The dog-friendly cottages are all tastefully furnished with many character features including slate floors and exposed beams. Cross Cottage (ref B5718) is detached with views over neighbouring fields.
Ideally situated on the edge of Bodmin Moor for exploring the landscape of tors and moorland. Enjoy walking, cycling, riding, fishing or simply relaxing. The nearest beach of Trebarwith Strand is 20 minutes’ away, but may favourites such as Whitehaven, Daymer Bay, Polzeath and Trevone are within 30-40 minutes’. With the beaches of the North Cornwall coast within 12 miles, visitors can enjoy the best of coast and countryside, alternating their days between tranquil landscapes, coastal walks and seaside fun at the beaches.

Lanxton Barn is situated just outside the quiet hamlet of Coad’s Green, a few miles east of Bodmin Moor and with excellent access to both coasts, the A30 and also the stunning Tamar Valley. This rural location has very little light pollution and you can while away warm summer evenings gazing up at the stars above. There are dozens of excellent walks with Bodmin moor, the Tamar Valley and the north coast beaches all within easy reach. This is a working 100 acre farm so any dogs would have to be supervised and walked on leads if any animals are in the fields. At the top of the farm is the site of a hill fort with panoramic views stretching as far as Dartmoor. The farm has its own free range chickens and ducks with lovely farm fresh eggs available. Nearby are bluebell woods with wild orchids and there is single bank fishing available during the season. Lanxton Barn is situated on a working farm, with a local independent shop 3 miles away (not open late). For main shops Launceston is 7 miles away, but most grocery stores offer delivery. Cobblestones has some of the best panoramic views in St Mawes, being situated in the exclusive western end of the village close to the castle built by Henry VIII in the 1540s. Cobblestones is reverse level with the main entrance on the same level as the main bedrooms and living area; south facing, with a full width balcony, heated swimming pool (available June to end of August) with permanent safety cover, large garden, plenty of parking and all within walking distance of the village. This is a fantastic property for larger groups and families. the best feature of Cobblestones is, without a doubt, the incredible views. Watch the world go by with yachts, power boats and ferries constantly traversing the vista and occasional shipping movements in Falmouth Bay or heading up the river to the commercial port.
Cobblestones is a 5-minute walk from the pretty harbour area of St Mawes and is one of Cornwall’s most desirable holiday destinations and the stunning harbour, surrounded by lovely local shops, restaurants, bars and hotels is a constant bustle of vibrancy during the season. There are ferry links from the harbour to St Anthony, Falmouth, Trelissick and Malpas. During the winter it is a quiet, peaceful village that rarely sees frosts or snow. St Mawes Castle was built by Henry VIII and is a splendid place to take in the views of the Carrick Roads. There are miles of coastal and countryside walks to take in and some idyllic beaches on which to relax. Beach 2 miles.

The property itself sits on a 1/2-acre plot, is airy, roomy, and mainly on the one level. A balcony wraps around the house with a glass balustrade, teak dining table, chairs, and sun loungers. Under the house is a large storage room with shower, drying room and a selection of bodyboards and wetsuits. The kitchen/breakfast room, dining room, living room, and master bedroom all have magnificent uninterrupted views of the ocean. To the rear of the property is a snug living room with Freeview TV. One bedroom has two sets of bunk beds which is ideal for younger children.

Templeton’s location is exemplified by having one of the shortest walks to the beach with access just outside the garden. Templeton nestles at the top of the steps that lead down onto Mawgan Porth’s stunning beach. There is a large stream that runs down the south side of the beach, with plenty of rock pools and connecting caves for exploring. During the high season, lifeguards from the RNLI safeguard the coastline. The beach faces west and is walled with high cliffs providing shelter from the wind however, Atlantic swells often produce large surf. Mawgan Porth, and the pretty village of St. Mawgan, sits in the perfect location for a peaceful, relaxing and wonderfully memorable holiday in Cornwall.

Situated mid-way between Padstow and Newquay close to the Southwest coastal path on the rugged north Cornish coast, Mawgan Porth offers you a beautiful west-facing beach with stunning scenery, wondrous walks, and superb surfing. Furthermore, there are an amazing variety of restaurants to suit everyone’s taste and pocket: including a cosy pub, seafood restaurant, cafes, and takeaways. Acorns is a comfortable two storey one bedroom cottage, occupying one end of the Owners’ superb, converted granite barn which used to be an old threshing barn. Located in a small hamlet of about ten houses and converted barns, this peaceful rural location is a wonderful place to escape to at any time of year. A great dog friendly cottage too! The barn itself is set out in reverse style with open plan living space on the first floor and access into the enclosed garden. On the ground floor there is a double bedroom with external access, a large bathroom with original Victorian roll-top bath, and a separate shower.
Acorns is in three designated areas - Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Area of Great Scientific Value and Area of Great Historic Value. Something for everyone! The oak tree shown in the photos is the "famous" Darley Oak which is over 1000 years old. This is a great location to visit if you are a keen walker. There are endless opportunities to explore the local area.
The wilds of Bodmin Moor with endless walking opportunities are nearby and the spectacular scenery of both Cornish coasts and Dartmoor are all within easy reach. The area abounds with country pubs - most of which have roaring fires in the winter months, and the towns of Launceston and Liskeard are just short distance away. Acorns is just 2 miles from Minions, Cornwall’s highest village, the famous Cheesewring, a dramatic outcrop of granite slabs and The Hurlers, a set of three bronze age stone circles. The area is rich in mining history with many chimneys, engine houses and stone railway tracks still visible - a reminder of Cornwall’s long mining tradition. Beach 15 miles.

A spacious, detached rural property, including a private one bedroom fully equipped apartment, which is perfect for groups or family members wishing to have their own independence while on holiday. The property sleeps eight in four lovely bedrooms, one even has a free-standing bath in it plus an en-suite shower room. There is also a separate bunk room that sleeps four people, and two comfortable double bed leather Chesterfield settees are situated in the 28ft conservatory, together with an oak dining table that accommodates up to 14 people and an 18Kw log burner, the conservatory also comes with a Cambridge hifi system. There is also a 14Kw double sided log burner situated in the front room.

If you need to do some washing, then there is a washing machine and tumble dryer located in the main bathroom. The kitchen area has everything you’ll need for your stay including a dishwasher and a coffee machine. Outside you can enjoy the lovely surrounding countryside views from the lawned garden and patios including a lovely decking area. And parking is on the driveway accommodating up to 5 cars.

Hindscarth is surrounded on 3 sides by areas of outstanding natural beauty, the National Cycle trail runs past the property, Bodmin Moor is 1/2 a mile away. Jamaica Inn is within easy reach as is Boscastle, Padstow and Port Isaac. Guests can also enjoy stunning cliff walks and travelling to the South Coast and the Eden project is also recommended. There are also several sandy beaches within easy reach.

Within 8 miles is Tintagel which is inextricably linked to the legend of King Arthur and is steeped in history. A visit to the English Heritage site of Tintagel Castle, where legend and historical fact alike meet stunning scenery, is a definite must while in the area and for Arthurian enthusiasts it is unmissable! There are many beaches in the area for surfers and sunseekers alike including Trebarwith and Bossiney Cove. Much of the North Cornish coastline is owned by the National Trust and is a haven for wildlife, providing fabulous walking opportunities with many well-trodden routes. There are many pretty coves and inlets to discover along this coastline including Crackington Haven, Boscastle, Morwenstow.

A bit further to the south is the fishing port of Padstow and quaint Port Isaac of Doc Martin fame and 16 miles to the north is the fabulous coastal town of Bude. If you fancy crossing over the ‘border’ into Devon and enjoy open spaces then Dartmoor National Park is 27 miles or so to the east – here you can enjoy a day of walking and discover the vast moorland and roam the craggy landscape, defined by forests, rivers, wetlands and rock formations or tors. Or search the Neolithic tombs, Bronze Age stone circles and abandoned medieval farmhouses in this amazing landscape!

The Lily Pad is a wonderful and welcoming holiday home, just a few miles from the dramatic Seven Bays of North Cornwall, famed for its stunning beaches, cliffs, and coves. Once inside you are greeted with a bright and airy, open-plan living space with relaxing sofas to sink into, a cosy wood burner (with ‘starter pack’ provided) for those cooler evenings, and attractive floor and wall art unique to the property and evocative of Cornwall and its heritage. You will find lovingly restored furniture and repurposed features in the side tables and display units, turning function into fun! Lead on to the dining area, complete with impressive handmade wooden dining table and seating for ten guests, looking out onto the garden. The wall here is adorned with a fantastic map of the county, a further reminder of the wonders of this amazing region and its many attractions and places to explore! The adjoining kitchen has a small breakfast bar area and plenty of workspace and equipment for preparing breakfast or your evening meal.

There are five bedrooms all on one level, where the unique and upcycled theme continues, with solid pine furniture given a fresh modern look. A roomy family bathroom includes a bath, while a second bathroom features a walk-in shower.

Outside, an excellent decking area with table, chairs and barbecue offers the ideal space to enjoy morning coffee or evening meal al fresco. There is even a firepit!

You are spoilt for a choice of beaches here; Harlyn Bay Beach, just 3 miles away, offers a broad expanse of golden sand stretching far before you. Trevose Headland offers spectacular vistas, whilst further beaches at Treyarnon Bay and beautiful Porthcothan Beach are just a short drive away, with rock pools for all ages to explore! Visit Padstow, with its fabulous seafood restaurants, busy quayside and narrow streets, or vibrant Newquay, with its plethora of vibrant bars and restaurants, and scintillating surfing and water sports activities.

Away from the coast, Camel Valley Theme Park, the world-renowned Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan all offer fun days out, whilst Bodmin Moor is an atmospheric place, with mysterious rock formations and views as far as the eye can see. The options are never ending here, the only question is where will you go tomorrow?
