Crackington Haven, EnglandMadison is a lovely Swedish designed, detached holiday property situated not far from the beach and benefiting from being just under 8 miles from the popular seaside town of Bude. The property can comfortably accommodate eight guests with all rooms on one level.
There are three bedrooms; one with a super kingsize bed, Smart TV and a lovely en-suite with a multi spray unit, double walk-in shower plus a bath and the other two both being twins (one with a handy sink in it). There’s also a family shower room, again with double walk-in shower. The living space consists of a comfortable living area with Smart TV, a separate dining room with a double sofa bed and a conservatory with seating, a telescope and access to the rear garden and patio. The kitchen/breakfast room offers everything you’ll need for your stay and the utility room has a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, freezer and coffee machine.

Further afield the fishing port of Padstow is a popular tourist destination. Bude is a fabulous coastal town and has something for everyone including great beaches, rockpools and cafés to watch it all from. The rolling waves are great for surfing all year round and the footpaths by the restored canal or on the Southwest Coast Path offer you a superb opportunity to explore the outstanding countryside. Hallagenna was once a farm and the home of Beatos, the black stallion from the Lloyds Bank adverts. Although now no longer a working farm, Hallagenna maintains its rural character. The farm has its own miniature pigs and chickens and horses graze in the paddock and share their fields with wild rabbits, which can be easily spotted amongst the grass. A wealth of wildlife can be found grazing the adjacent moor, including ponies, cattle and sheep. Hallagenna Cottages have their own access to Bodmin Moor so it’s ideal for dog walking, hiking, exploring or simply taking in the view.
This beautiful former farm worker’s cottage is set in open moorland (a designated Area of Natural Outstanding Beauty). Bodmin, EnglandA short drive from Bodmin moor. Withiel is situated 5 miles between the towns of Wadebridge and Bodmin; and 15 miles from Newquay and Padstow, as well as Polzeath on the North coast and Fowey on the South coast. Newquay is famous for its excellent surfing beaches. Port Isaac of “Doc Martin” fame is also about 15 miles away, and The Eden Project is only a short drive.
Wadebridge, once a market town, is now more widely known as being on The Camel Trail, the cycle route out to Padstow from the depths of Bodmin Moor on the old railway route. Bude, EnglandThis is a beautiful single level barn conversion, extremely well presented with all modern amenities, exposed beams, a wood burning stove, a spacious garden and plenty of parking. The open plan living space has an elegant, yet homely feel. The main bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and the second bedroom also has an en-suite which is also accessed from the hallway.
Situated just north of Bude with fabulous access to all of the glorious beaches including Northcott Mouth beach and Sandymouth a bit further to the north, both of which have glorious expanses of golden sand at low tide. Bude itself has a wealth of restaurants, pubs, cafés, and galleries, a great playground and interesting canal. Further north and you are over the border into Devon where Clovelly is well worth a visit. The property adjoins another house, although the garden and driveway shown in the photos is exclusive to Skyber Barnacott.
The closest village to Skyber Barnacott is Kilkhampton which dates back to before Saxon times. There you can find the remains of a 12th century motte and bailey style Norman castle. The church of St James the Great is over 450 years old. Both of the two pubs in the village the New Inn and London Inn serve food.
