Given the cottage’s age, be mindful of the low ceiling upon entering the property and the low ceiling when descending the stairs—while the rest of the property poses no issue. The owner has thoughtfully renovated the cottage, preserving original features such as exposed stone walls, authentic slate flooring, and a fireplace with a wood burner.
Outside, a covered area provides a tranquil spot for reading or enjoying your morning coffee, while a larger table on the patio invites al fresco dining. Across from the magnificent church, fields offer an ideal space for dog walking and children to play. Along the main road, you’ll find a fantastic fish and chip shop, a bakery with a café, a convenience shop, and a post office. Just a mile away, a local pub with an impressive reputation offers a variety of dishes to suit all tastes.
Churchtown Cottage is surrounded by the stunning beaches of Crantock, Holywell Bay, and Polly Joke, eliminating the need for extensive travel to reach the coast. For surfing enthusiasts, Fistral Beach in Newquay and Perranporth are easily accessible. After a day at the beach, rinse off the sand under the outdoor heated shower, and take advantage of ample space in the garden for storing wetsuits and bodyboards.

Mews Cottage is a beautifully presented two-bedroom, semi-detached holiday home set in the heart of Tintagel on the Northern Cornish coast. It is an original Cornish stone and slate dwelling. Whilst being within a few seconds walk on a private walk way to the hustle and bustle of Tintagel Village, you can still enjoy the peaceful serenity that Mews Cottage offers being in a small secluded area from the village. Mews has a free parking permit available which is provided by the owners.
The historical cottage, built around the 1890’s and was a former stables for a local Inn, feels bright and stylish whilst maintaining the rustic feel of the property. After an action-packed day exploring the coast, enter into the kitchen/dining area where you will find everything you need to enjoy a self-catered break. Head into the spacious lounge where you can unwind on the comfortable seating, watch a film on the smart TV whilst enjoying the glows of the electric wood burner in the background. This warm and light room has double doors which lead into the enclosed courtyard area which can create a fresh and airy feel throughout the entire day. Perfect for enjoying the warm Cornish evenings or a morning coffee. An absolute sun trap. Upstairs are two cosy bedrooms, wonderfully presented with high apexed ceilings displaying exposed wooden beams. The master bedroom offers a kingsize bed and next door is the light and airy twin bedroom. A shower room with heated towel rail completes the picture. Enjoy the fantasitic span of the countryside and a distant sea view.
Mews Cottage is just a few steps from the main street, with a variety of shops, pubs, restaurants and Tintagel Castle, the mythical home of King Arthur. There is also a good bus serivce in Tintagel so you have the option of leaving the car. The coast is within a 10-minute walk and the nearest beach at Bossiney Cove is just 1.3 miles away or a 25-minute walk across the fields. Within easy reach are the coastal villages of Boscastle and Port Isaac, the latter made famous by the TV series, ’Doc Martin’. Further along the coast are the golden, sandy beaches of Rock and Polzeath. Plenty of walking and local paths perfect for the family, and prime dog walking places on the doorstep of Mews Cottage. Trebarwith Strand a 10 minutes drive is a perfect beach for this, dog friendly all year round, but is also accessable via the coastal path past St Materiana’s church. The property is a self contained renovated wing of a Grade II listed farmhouse. On a working sheep farm the owner can provide stabling if you wish to bring your own horse and enjoy the local riding country. The cottage retains much of its original charm with slate floors and woodburning stove, the sheltered patio is a sun trap and from the gardens there are views over the valley to St. Austell. Only a mile from the nearest beach and 5 miles from both the Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan. The dog-friendly cottages are all tastefully furnished with many character features including slate floors and exposed beams. Cross Cottage (ref B5718) is detached with views over neighbouring fields.
Ideally situated on the edge of Bodmin Moor for exploring the landscape of tors and moorland. Enjoy walking, cycling, riding, fishing or simply relaxing. The nearest beach of Trebarwith Strand is 20 minutes’ away, but may favourites such as Whitehaven, Daymer Bay, Polzeath and Trevone are within 30-40 minutes’. With the beaches of the North Cornwall coast within 12 miles, visitors can enjoy the best of coast and countryside, alternating their days between tranquil landscapes, coastal walks and seaside fun at the beaches.

This stylish semi-detached holiday home is located within the wooded grounds of a former hotel and on the edge of the historic and quaint Cornish fishing town of Looe, on Cornwall’s beautiful south coast and has great views across the estuary and wooded valley. The house is perfectly located in peaceful grounds, with French doors leading from the dining room to the patio, and French doors leading from the bedroom to a balcony. It provides an ideal base to enjoy the many amenities of the town and the surrounding area. This can be enjoyed by train as the local branch line and Looe station is close by. Looe has a widespread golden beach in the town that is essential for that perfect family holiday, while Hannifore Beach in West Looe is a year-round dog friendly beach. Looe is also home to one of the country’s major fish markets, where you can buy the freshest catch of the day for that special meal or barbecue on the beach. In September, the town hosts a popular and growing music festival with many big name acts appearing (early bookings recommended). Deep sea fishing, pleasure trips and other watersports can all be enjoyed in Looe along with woodland and coastal walks nearby. To the east of the town is the historic city of Plymouth, with its National Marine Aquarium, theatres, cinemas, bowling and shopping, while to the west is the sea faring town of Fowey, home to the royal sailing regatta and many galleries, both of which can be reached by ferry.
