From here you can take in the breathtaking views across the Atlantic Ocean and walk north towards Tintagel, the mythical home of King Arthur, or south towards Polzeath, with its sandy surfing beach. Rock is a 5 mile drive from Post Isaac, where you can enjoy the many watersports on offer. You can walk or cycle along the Camel Trail, a disused railway line that follows the Camel Estuary to the market town of Wadebridge and beyond to Bodmin. You can also take a ferry from Rock to Padstow, where you will find many shops, pubs and restaurants, including Rick Stein’s fish restaurant.This holiday cottage is ideally situated to visit the many attractions that Cornwall has to offer including The Eden Project, a zoo and Blue Reef Aquarium at Newquay, as well as many gardens and NT properties close by. Oakwood is perfectly situated for summer days at the beach, being close both to the spectacular North Cornwall coast and to the picturesque Camel Estuary with their rocky coastlines and wonderful sandy beaches. Rock, Polzeath, Daymer Bay, Padstow, Port Isaac, Tintagel, and Wadebridge are all only a few minutes away. For walkers, the Cornish Coastal Path is less than a mile away.
Oakwood is also perfect for spring, autumn, and Christmas breaks with its underfloor heating throughout and wood burner in the living room for added luxury.

Enjoying uninterrupted views of the award-winning Mawgan Porth beach, this fantastic beach house is surrounded by a third of an acre of beautifully kept gardens with a large, sea facing, sun trap decking area, overlooking gently sloping lawns and a pretty stream that trickles down to the sea below. Over the past year (2022), the house has been renovated to the highest standards by one of the country’s leading interior designers and offers plenty of living space all benefitting from exceptional sea views and floor to ceiling sliding doors leading to a large decking area. The large circular fireplace makes for cosy evenings during the Autumn and Winter months. The brand-new handmade kitchen is well supplied with all creature comforts from a juicer to a selection of coffee machines, including a Nespresso. A door leads into a separate TV room with a big corner sofa, both with fabulous sea views and door to the terrace. Three ground floor bedrooms, ome with chandelier, two with those stunning views. A beautiful glass and oak staircase leads from the entrance hall up to the first floor where you will find three more bedrooms; a double bedroom with en-suite shower room; a large twin bedroom with large en-suite shower room, and one with a TV and sofa bed which enjoys the best views of all.

The beach is just a 5-minute walk away from the garden gate. Off the drive, there is a lawned area and to the side of the house a heated outdoor shower for when you return from the beach. The equipment store has a range of children’s wetsuits and storage for boards. Once cleaned off, you can luxuriate in the state-of-the-art Aspen and Spruce spa with a sauna, experiential shower plus cold water bucket for the brave. Situated mid-way between Padstow and Newquay, Mawgan Porth offers you a beautiful west facing beach, stunning scenery, wondrous walks, superb surfing, an amazing variety of restaurants to suit everyone’s taste and pocket, including a cosy pub, seafood restaurant, cafés, and takeaways all within walking distance of Blue Seas. This is open to the public and can be reached on foot by causeway at low tide, or by small ferry boat at high tide. Visit the quaint harbour towns of Newlyn and Mousehole, and the romantic open air Minack Theatre is just a short drive away, built in to the cliff face overlooking the beautiful beach at Porthcurno, with stunning performances throughout the year. Surf at Sennen beach or walk along the glorious white sandy beach or cliff top to Lands End. Fishing is available locally, and the area is popular for bird watching with the marshes at Marazion and Hayle attracting bird and wildlife enthusiasts from around the world. Completed in late 2022, Rosefern is a stunning detached house of contemporary design with underfloor heating throughout. Tintagel is inextricably linked to the legend of King Arthur and is steeped in history. A visit to the English Heritage site of Tintagel Castle, where legend and historical fact alike meet stunning scenery, is a definite must while in the area and for Arthurian enthusiasts it is unmissable! There are many beaches in the area for surfers and sunseekers alike including Trebarwith Strand, Bossiney and the Castle Beach all in walking distance along beautiful coastal paths. Much of the North Cornish coastline is owned by the National Trust and is a haven for wildlife, providing fabulous walking opportunities with many well-trodden routes.
There are many pretty coves and inlets to discover along this coastline including Crackington Haven and Boscastle. A bit further to the south is the fishing port of Padstow and quaint Port Isaac of Doc Martin fame and 20 miles to the north is the fabulous coastal town of Bude. If you fancy crossing over the ‘border’ into Devon and enjoy open spaces then Dartmoor National Park is 33 miles or so to the east – here you can enjoy a day of walking and discover the vast moorland and roam the craggy landscape, defined by forests, rivers, wetlands and rock formations or tors. Or search the Neolithic tombs, Bronze Age stone circles and abandoned medieval farmhouses in this amazing landscape!

Nancarrow is a large four-bedroom detached house which can comfortably accommodate up to fourteen guests and showcases three bathrooms, a large garden, hot tub, children’s play area, parking for five cars and it is also less than a 15-minute walk away from the beach.

The house is very spacious with a large hallway entrance, living room, an open plan kitchen diner and two sets of bifold doors. The dining table and chairs provides a great space to enjoy a home cooked meal and the kitchen is well-equipped with a double electric oven, electric hob, dishwasher, fridge, microwave and wine cooler, a large island worktop and a Smart TV making it a home from home. The handy utility room next door has a fridge/ freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. The living room offers a cosy place to unwind after a busy day exploring Cornwall, with comfortable seating and a Smart TV with Freeview.

Head upstairs to discover the four stylish bedrooms, two of which are en-suite. The first has a super kingsize bed, a sofa bed, a large flat screen TV and an en-suite shower room. Two of the bedrooms each have a kingsize bed and share use of the family bathroom which has a bath with a handheld shower attachment and a shower cubicle. The fourth bedroom is set-up with two sets of double-sized bunk beds which can accommodate up to eight guests, plus a Smart TV and an en-suite shower room. There is a private garden with a large lawn and stone patio area, gas BBQ, outdoor seating for twelve and a children’s bench set. There is also a children’s play area including a see saw, swing, slide set and a football goal, plus a large shed for all outdoor activity equipment.

Nancarrow is perfectly situated just a 12-minute walk from Porthminster beach, 15 minutes to Carbis Bay and 15 minutes to the harbour. Alternatively, there is a bus stop at the end of the road which takes you one stop down to St Ives. Positioned south of St Ives, Carbis Bay plays host to a popular family beach and is often frequented by walkers enjoying the delights and challenges of the South West Coastal Path. The neighbouring seaside resort of St Ives is renowned for its artists who constantly draw inspiration from the landscape whilst also being the home of Tate St Ives.

If you are looking for an old style, traditional Cornish cottage then look no further. Bellas Mouse is a characterful three-bedroom and three reception room cottage with a self-contained one bedroom annex and a garage and parking. This is a fabulous option for extended families who want to holiday together but would like the option of having some independence.
Found in the old heart of Penryn, just a mile from Falmouth, this vibrant historic waterside town has a range of pubs and eateries including a great fish and chip shop.
Enter through a gate in the wall into a private courtyard with stable doors into the main cottage and the annexe. The annexe has a studio room which has a kingsize bed, an en-suite bathroom and self-contained kitchen, which has access to the garden. The main cottage is delightfully quirky! The two main reception rooms and the two main bedrooms are dual aspect, and the exterior doors are all partly or fully glazed. This allows for the light to make the most of the cottage’s character and shows off the thick and curving walls, typical of a property of this era. This includes low door frames upon which you may bang your head. The kitchen leads out into a little walkway courtyard with steps up to the garden. From the dining room there are steps up to the stairs and down to a cloakroom and a utility room with a door out to the garden. The garden is lovely and private with water views and glimpses over the Falmouth estuary. Bellas Mouse is an old property built on different levels. It has many original features, including low narrow doorways and passages. There are small steps to some of the downstairs living rooms and upstairs to the bedrooms. The stairs to the bedrooms are quite steep and there is no hand rail. Feedback from some guests have cautioned that for anyone with depth perception problems or for those with limited mobility or with young children, the stairs and steps can be disconcerting. The back garden is quirky, quite small and terraced with changes of level and there are steps to access it from the cottage. Shute Lane is typically Cornish; steep and narrow thus making access to the cottage and garage tricky in places.
There is a garage for parking up the lane from the cottage and a second small car can fit in front of the garage doors. The garage is perfect for storing water sports equipment, bikes etc, the owner has provided a hose that can be used to wash down wetsuits. On arrival and departure, it is fine to pull down the lane to quickly unload into the courtyard. The cottage is just a few minutes’ walk from the train station and has excellent public transport links to Falmouth.

Inside, all is revealed, a superb open-plan living space, with hand-crafted fixtures and fittings throughout. The kitchen is well-equipped, bright, and spacious with its own breakfast bar. The dining area accommodates six guests with ease whilst the living room has quality soft furnishings and sumptuous seating, a lovely wood burner for those chilly evenings, and a generous-sized TV. There is a useful utility room with a washing machine too. The stairs with their stylish black and white banisters lead up to the first floor from where the views become even more impressive. All three bedrooms offer en-suite facilities and underfloor heating; bedroom one has a king-size bed, TV, walk-in shower, and, oh, those sea views! Bedroom two, with its charming mint green colour scheme, has a kingsize zip and link facility, sea views, a quirky sun-funnel, and a walk-in shower. The third bedroom is quite delightful in subtle pink hues, with a double bed, shower, and superb hand-made vanity units. Venture outside and you will find a secluded space with garden furniture, ideal for morning coffee before you set off!
The hot tub is in an idyllic setting with room for eight guests, and offers a wondrous view towards Mevagissey harbour. Then, of course, you have your own sympathetically restored railway carriage! With super lighting and electric sockets. You can take a ferry from Mevagissey to Fowey, an ancient port set within beautiful surroundings and full of charm. Visit St Austell, a town with many amenities and visible links to the once-thriving mining industry here.
The Wheal Martyn Museum is well worth a visit, whilst the world-renowned Eden Project is a short drive away; here huge Biomes protect the world’s largest indoor rainforest and so much more besides!
