Padstow, famous for its celebrity culinary connections is a short walk and brings you to the harbour, nestling alongside the River Camel estuary, where you will find a traditional Cornish welcome, a selection of restaurants, shops and beautiful cottages. The famous Camel Trail runs from here to Bodmin, taking in some of the most beautiful scenery in the south-west; a must for walkers and cyclists. Thirty minutes by car brings you to the stunning beaches of Rock and Polzeath, with golden sands, breathtaking scenery and more to explore! There is golf nearby. You will find the beaches on this stretch of the north coast, quite sublime, such as Harlyn Bay, where a vast swathe of golden sand awaits you. The Trevose Headland provides scintillating views to the Atlantic Ocean, whilst the beaches at Treyarnon Bay and Porthcothan reveal inlets and coves to the intrepid explorer. Port Isaac, of Doc Martin fame, pretty Boscastle and mysterious Tintagel are great places to uncover, the latter with it’s links to the legend King Arthur, castle and modern feat of engineering, the jaw dropping foot bridge spanning a chasm below.
