Bee Keepers Cottage is located on a working farm on the edge of Derbyshire’s Peak District, the cottage overlooks the 18 hole golf course at Shirland Golf and country club where visitors day passes are available.

The cottage has beautiful rural views and offers guests the peace and quiet of rural living yet within easy access of local attractions and transport networks, and there is a golf course boarding the property’s grounds and miles of footpath networks adjacent to the farm.

The accommodation at Bee Keepers cottage is spaced over a single storey and offers light, bright accommodation with beautiful gardens and views of the rolling Derbyshire countryside.

Chatsworth House, Hardwick Hall and Crich tramway museum are a short drive away. Local towns include Matlock, Bakewell and Chesterfield. Derby and Nottinghamshire are a 20-minute drive.

The location is popular with walkers who enjoy the beautiful walks and trails straight from the doorstep.

All accommodation is on the ground floor. The Large modern kitchen/dining area to seat 6 and opens out onto the living area with Smart TV. The kitchen has an electric eye level oven, built in microwave, induction hob, fridge/ freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.

Two bedrooms have king size beds, and the third a single bed, and there is a family bathroom with bath and shower above – there is also an additional shower room with quadrant shower cubicle, toilet and basin.

Outside there are two seating areas, a BBQ, gardens and plenty of off-road parking.

Guests are welcome to visit the horses in the barn next to the property (prior arrangement with the owner), please supervise children for their safety.

For the walkers and wildlife lovers amongst us, the Jurassic coastline offers miles of stunning walks to places such as Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove and Studland Bay. Further afield, you can visit Poole Harbour, The Blue Pool, historic Wareham and the second largest natural harbour in the world, a day out at the Tank Museum and a day enjoying Monkey World. There is so much to do and explore.

A short stroll from the sheltered sandy bay, Norman Castle and the 12th century Church of St James this ’delightfully vintage’ holiday home is close to the heart of the pretty village of Manorbier - ’the most pleasant spot in Wales’.
Built in the 1930’s and retaining many original features throughout, French doors open from the living room onto a large decking area. The Boathouse offers an eclectic style of timber floors, rugs and antique furniture. It has a delightfully vintage appeal with a quaint country cottage garden and provides a comfortable sanctuary, in which to relax. With a quiet village location close to Tenby, offering rural charm, and delightful garden room providing a great place to read your favourite novel. The master bedroom and bathroom on the first floor also have views over fields to the distant castle and cove.
The local restaurant is just a 3 minutes walk away below the cottage. Manorbier’s beautiful sandy beach is 10 minutes walk away from this holiday cottage. Please do not expect to launch your boat from here though! Dogs are welcome all year round. Manorbier has a favoured tearoom/cafe, gift shop and jovial public house plus a local shop supplying all your holiday needs. The cafe offers a charming place to enjoy a coffee or locally cooked fare. Manorbier is a hidden gem with a real holiday village feel with winding stone walled lanes and a lovely place to stroll.

Situated in a quiet rural location, Bardon Lodge is a spacious property attached to the owner’s home and set within 10 acres of grounds. The property is surrounded by fields and woodland, yet close enough to all amenities. There are so many places to visit and so easy to get to. Take a trip to Totnes where there are many shops, markets and walks along the riverbank. Dartmoor is just a short car ride where you can see the ponies, walk the Tors or simply stop off in one of the many villages for a Devon cream tea. Paignton, Torquay and Brixham are also great places to visit, as are Exeter and Plymouth, both within 30 minutes’ drive. There are many National Trust properties including Agatha Christie’s summer home ’Greenway’, well worth a visit. For the children, there is Crealy Adventure park, or Go Ape in Haldon. If you are bringing a bicycle, there are many cycle ways off road to be explored, including Powderham Castle where there is a cycle track all along the estuary. This lovely, semi-detached Grade B listed cottage has a great location in the heart of Cullen on the beautiful Moray Coast. Perfect for friends or a family getaway, it has been lovingly restored whilst retaining its original steep staircase and low ceiling features, and the multi-level garden has a view of the sea through the viaduct. Just ¼ mile from the beach with many walks in the surrounding area, this cottage is perfectly situated for all the local attractions.

Cullen is a wonderful little village, a real treasure trove of cute shops and cafés, and a perfect place to spend some time. Don’t forget to try the local speciality, Cullen skink. The neighbouring villages are well worth a visit and golf can be found nearby also. Further afield, Elgin and Inverness can be reached easily for a day out. Beach ¼ mile. This delightful cottage can be found on the edge of the Peak District in the picturesque village of Cutthorpe, down a private country lane on the owner’s non-working farm of 2 acres. Green Farm is surrounded by fields, woodland, footpaths and bridleways with direct access to the Linacre Reservoirs and Holmebrook Country Park. Tawny Owl Barn is a beautifully converted stone barn, situated over two floors, retaining many original features. The ground floor lays claim to a cosy living room complete with a warming wood burner, leather sofas, exposed stone walls and wooden beams. There is also a fully-equipped kitchen/dining room, a great social space with a large dining table so you can have a home cooked meal with all the family, as well as a single bedroom with an oak sliding barn door. Head upstairs where you will find two en-suite bedrooms with varnished, natural wooden floors, one with a double bed and one with twin beds. Double glazed and centrally heated throughout, this barn is perfect for families and groups all year round.
Outside, there is a fully enclosed private garden with a patio table and chairs, a barbeque and views over open countryside. There is a gate giving access to the fully enclosed hot tub (which is available all year for an additional charge, payable locally). This also includes the supply of additional towels and dressing gowns. We have a one acre paddock to exercise your dog in. Up to two well behaved dogs.
Cutthorpe has two pubs within walking distance that are dog friendly and serve food. It has a pretty village green and benefits from panoramic views over Chesterfield with its famous crooked spire. The village is located on the edge of the Peak District National Park, yet is only 3 miles from The popular market town of Chesterfield. Its perfect location allows you to explore historic houses, walking, cycling and visiting the tourist towns of Bakewell, Matlock, Castleton, Buxton, Eyam and Hathersage. If its stately homes, castles and gardens you would like to visit, the magnificent Chatsworth House is only 10 minutes drive away; the grounds and house will provide a full day out. Within 30 minutes you can also visit Packwood house, Bolsover castle, Renishaw hall, Haddon hall and Hardwick hall.

For those that are more active, there are numerous options varying from local walks from your door, to more adventurous walks in the Peak District. Cyclists are also well catered for with a variety of road and off road tracks and trails. Additionally there is shooting, canoeing, horse riding, go ape, abseiling, climbing, fishing and golf all available nearby. Alternatively you can just relax and enjoy the tranquillity that Green Farm offers. The nearest shop is 2 miles, café 1½ miles, post office, doctors are all available locally.

With wonderful walks, stunning sunsets and endless views there is also an abundance of natural wildlife to observe. There is a shared table tennis room for you to enjoy and the owners also cater for extra charged experiences such as home made food delivered to your door and donkey walks plus they have also teamed up with other local businesses to offer horse riding, drinks tasting and spa treatment experiences! Another major attraction is the experience to feed/care for animals should guests wish to. The beaches are a main attraction of the North Devon region for many and with some of the best in the UK like Saunton Sands, Woolacombe, Westward Ho! and Croyde being easily reached by car from the property, surfing, windsurfing and lazy sandy days should definitely be on your agenda.
The Southwest Coast Path is also a popular ‘must visit’ for keen runners and walkers! If golf is your thing, then you will be spoiled for choice with excellent courses including the Royal North Devon Club in Westward Ho! which was founded in 1864 and is the oldest golf course in England and the wonderful Championship Links Saunton Club. The popular Tarka Trail can be accessed nearby and provides the unique opportunity to follow a disused railway line by foot or by cycle allowing you to enjoy some of Devon’s finest countryside and scenery while discovering the towns of Barnstaple and Bideford where you can wander during the weekly pannier markets, with a host of local produce, quality cafés and crafts on offer.
On your Tarka Trail journey be sure to visit the Fremington Quay Café for a tasty bite to eat and then the estuary-side village of Instow – a must see! Other places not to forget to visit are the world-famous village of Clovelly with its steep pedestrianised cobbled main street, traditional architecture, donkeys and views over the Bristol Channel and Lynton & Lynmouth for stunning views out towards Wales. And be sure not to forget to visit Exmoor or Dartmoor National Parks, the former with its magical night skies in Europe’s first ’Dark Sky Reserve’.
And for a day with a difference take a trip across to Lundy Island, home to England’s first statutory Marine Nature Reserve due to its unique flora and fauna. Measuring just 3 miles by ¾ mile, this entire island has been designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest and trips depart from Bideford and Ilfracombe.

This is a birdwatcher’s paradise and is within an easy walk of the village shop, café and hotel. Furnished with care to maximise the light, inside this single-storey property there are full length picture windows in the bright living room and a well-equipped kitchen. The extensive garden with mature trees and expanse of lawn, is a wonderful sun trap to enjoy after a brisk walk along the beautiful sandy beach.

St Cyrus beach is nestled at the bottom of the cliff, which is accessed either by a steep walk from the local church just a few hundred yards away, or for the less adventurous, there is an easy drive down to the beach on the outskirts of the village at the nature reserve. A walk along the shoreline offers a good chance of spotting porpoises and other marine life in the clear waters. The spectacular cliffs and dunes are a National Nature Reserve and home to a variety of wildlife - peregrine falcons and fulmars are often spotted, as well as divers and other sea birds. Deer inhabit the wooded area at the top, and rare butterflies and plants can be found throughout the reserve. The owner has thoughtfully provided binoculars for your enjoyment. St Cyrus is between Montrose and Stonehaven, both bustling seaside towns with golf courses, shops and leisure centres, whilst inland the Angus Glens are easily reached for some excellent walks and spectacular scenery. In the grounds of Stildon Manor, with views of the Abberley and Clee Hills, this spacious, detached holiday cottage, converted from farm buildings, has its own games room and large private courtyard.
