Take a stroll down the marine walk into Conwy where you’ll find an abundance of places to eat, pubs and independent shops and all are within walking distance, so park up an relax in this historic area. Talking of history, there’s Conwy Castle, a United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization World Heritage Site. The Smallest House in Great Britain is down on the picturesque harbour, from here you can take a leisurely river cruise. Bodlondeb park is also close by a great spot for walking the dog. There’s Plas Mawr, an Elizabethan Town House and Aberconwy House a Medieval Merchants House. A short drive of around 10 minutes and you’ll discover the little known yet award winning Conwy Vineyard well worth a visit for any wine novice or connoisseur. You’re also within easy reach of the Snowdonia National Park, the bustling seaside resort Llandudno, Surf Snowdonia, Zip world and not forgetting glorious coastal paths and many walks. Nestled in the Conwy valley, just down the road is Betws Y Coed the gateway to the Snowdonia National Park. For the adventurous, you’ll find Surf Snowdonia, Tree Top Climbing and the Marin Bike trails of Gwydir Forrest all just a few miles away. In the opposite direction is the National Trust’s Bodnant Gardens, Conwy Vineyard, and the historic walled town of Conwy, which is home to a fabulous harbour and many historic buildings. You will be perfectly situated to explore the region.

There are two good pubs, a café, and restaurant, all within walking distance (approx. 15 mins down the hill and slightly longer on the way back up!). This is a charming, unspoilt part of beautiful North Wales is a region rich in outdoor action and adventure, from the world’s first inland surfing lagoon-Surf Snowdonia, zip wires at Zip World, high ropes, and cavern trampolines, to the many forest walks, mountain bike trails, hills, lakes and rivers for which the area is rightly famous for. People travel from all over Europe to have a go on Zip World - booking is vital. Join scenic footpaths straight from your doorstep, go onwards and upwards from the cottage and you’ll come to two lovely, little-visited lakes, Llyn Geirionydd and Llyn Crafnant. Trefriw has a vibrant heart, so expect a friendly welcome at the post office/shop, the award-winning butchers, the fantastic working woollen mill, in the two pubs, and in the brasserie and local café. Trefriw is blessed with two of the most spectacular lakes (Geirionydd and Crafnant). Both lakes lie in the most stunning surroundings and offer different facilities. Geirionydd offers watersports for everyone (paddle and powerboating) whilst Crafnant is a much more peaceful environment. The community lead project Trefriw Trails has 8 waymarked trails which are suited to all ages and abilities for walking and cycling.

A wonderful property for a family with off-road parking, a spacious garden and a lovely, homely feel. This popular area is a hit with all ages and interests. It lies within walking distance of the fabulous shoreline of Kinmel Bay, where you can take a stroll across the shoreline, reaching the pretty landscape of Kinmel Dunes Nature Reserve. You’ll find an array of eateries, amusements, friendly pubs, and convenience stores, all within walking distance from your doorstep. Tir Prince Raceway, where you can enjoy the excitement of American-style harness racing, is down the road, here you’ll also find an amusement park, market and regular car boot, arcades and a café - a great day out for all ages to enjoy.
There a number of golf clubs in the area all within a short drive; Rhyl, Abergele, Meliden and Rhuddlan.
For history enthusiasts, Rhuddlan Castle dates back to 1277 and is a short drive, and further down the coast is imposing Conwy Castle. Conwy is a wonderful spot to spend the day and is a vibrant town full of history and interesting places to visit, such as the smallest house in Great Britain, Plas Mawr, as well as independent shops, restaurants, wine bars and traditional pubs. Walk the castle walls, catch a boat from the harbour, or go crabbing at the marina. Rhyl centre is just down the road, enjoy days out at SeaQuarium, take a stroll along the promenade, visit the action-packed water park with indoor and outdoor water play for all ages and abilities. For a more leisurely option perhaps tour Rhyl Botanical Gardens, featuring a landscape park, and a picturesque walking route. A wonderful base to enjoy everything North Wales has to offer.
