This delightful holiday property has been skilfully converted from former outbuildings at Bodafon Hall and it sleeps just two people. There are views down across fields to the promenade and out to sea. This is a lovely quiet part of the town, yet there is so much to do within walking distance. Visit the adjacent Bodafon Farm Park, or take a stroll along the promenade to the town centre or Venue Cymru, where you can perhaps catch a visiting West End show. Shop till you drop or find a great restaurant or café. At the other end of town is the famous Great Orme’s Head, rising to 679ft above the town, with great views of the surrounding coastline – and on a clear day you can even see the Isle of Man! Visit 4000-year-old copper mines, the ski slope or toboggan run, ride the Great Orme Tramway or the longest cable car in Great Britain. Historic Conwy is just a few minutes by car and offers the mighty Edward I Conwy Castle and town walls (A World Heritage Site), Aberconwy House, Conwy Suspension Bridge (NT), Plas Mawr (Cadw), a wealth of quirky individual shops, and the quay where fresh fish is landed daily. The Conwy Valley takes you down towards Betws-y-Coed, the ‘gateway to Snowdonia’. On the way, call in at Bodnant Garden (NT) that is abundant with floral colour, or for a bit of foodie heaven, try the Bodnant Welsh Food Centre.

Take a stroll down the marine walk into Conwy where you’ll find an abundance of places to eat, pubs and independent shops and all are within walking distance, so park up an relax in this historic area. Talking of history, there’s Conwy Castle, a United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization World Heritage Site. The Smallest House in Great Britain is down on the picturesque harbour, from here you can take a leisurely river cruise. Bodlondeb park is also close by a great spot for walking the dog. There’s Plas Mawr, an Elizabethan Town House and Aberconwy House a Medieval Merchants House. A short drive of around 10 minutes and you’ll discover the little known yet award winning Conwy Vineyard well worth a visit for any wine novice or connoisseur. You’re also within easy reach of the Snowdonia National Park, the bustling seaside resort Llandudno, Surf Snowdonia, Zip world and not forgetting glorious coastal paths and many walks. In the opposite direction is the National Trust’s Bodnant Gardens, Conwy Vineyard, and the historic walled town of Conwy, which is home to a fabulous harbour and many historic buildings. You will be perfectly situated to explore the region.

Join scenic footpaths straight from your doorstep, go onwards and upwards from the cottage and you’ll come to two lovely, little-visited lakes, Llyn Geirionydd and Llyn Crafnant. Trefriw has a vibrant heart, so expect a friendly welcome at the post office/shop, the award-winning butchers, the fantastic working woollen mill, in the two pubs, and in the brasserie and local café. Trefriw is blessed with two of the most spectacular lakes (Geirionydd and Crafnant). Both lakes lie in the most stunning surroundings and offer different facilities. Geirionydd offers watersports for everyone (paddle and powerboating) whilst Crafnant is a much more peaceful environment. The community lead project Trefriw Trails has 8 waymarked trails which are suited to all ages and abilities for walking and cycling.

It lies within walking distance of the fabulous shoreline of Kinmel Bay, where you can take a stroll across the shoreline, reaching the pretty landscape of Kinmel Dunes Nature Reserve. You’ll find an array of eateries, amusements, friendly pubs, and convenience stores, all within walking distance from your doorstep. Tir Prince Raceway, where you can enjoy the excitement of American-style harness racing, is down the road, here you’ll also find an amusement park, market and regular car boot, arcades and a café - a great day out for all ages to enjoy.
For history enthusiasts, Rhuddlan Castle dates back to 1277 and is a short drive, and further down the coast is imposing Conwy Castle. Conwy is a wonderful spot to spend the day and is a vibrant town full of history and interesting places to visit, such as the smallest house in Great Britain, Plas Mawr, as well as independent shops, restaurants, wine bars and traditional pubs. Walk the castle walls, catch a boat from the harbour, or go crabbing at the marina. Rhyl centre is just down the road, enjoy days out at SeaQuarium, take a stroll along the promenade, visit the action-packed water park with indoor and outdoor water play for all ages and abilities. For a more leisurely option perhaps tour Rhyl Botanical Gardens, featuring a landscape park, and a picturesque walking route. A wonderful base to enjoy everything North Wales has to offer.
